It certainly looks like the Cass Review is a turning point, be interesting to see what the international reaction will be.

Has it been covered at all by the likes of CNN or NBC in the US?

Sounds like the NHS is going to shit, and not just over this. I see on chronic pain twitter people are having a hell of a time getting appointments and if they do manage, it's with a nurse and not a doctor.

At least I don't have to hear about their wonderful "free" medicine anymore.

Covid fucked things up. The NHS will recover, just like it did in 97 after 18 years of Tory mismanagement. We have had 14 years this time, which included a pointless reorganisation and the ridiculously overblown response to covid, and ongoing industrial action by doctors and a refusal to address issues with regards to GPs and dentists who are private contractors forever wanting more money.
