British Swimming have changed their guidance on changing room access after parents raised concerns over a transgender pool official using the women's changing room at the same time as young girls during a teenage swimming competition.

Anne Coombes, who last week blasted a hotel spa for not giving her a key to a female changing room, was volunteering at the British Summer Championships which was held at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.

Parents complained that both they and their daughters felt 'uncomfortable' as Ms Coombes, a 65-year-old trans woman, used the female changing rooms as a walkthrough during the competition which finished yesterday.

The outcry from parents led to British swimming changing its guidelines to ban any officials or volunteers using the changing room as a walkthrough.

One parents, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Telegraph: 'My daughter was in the changing rooms when this person walked through. And then came back again to use the toilets.

This is a repeat offender troon, he seems to have a fixation on using women’s facilities and uses social media to shame people and organisations which stand in his way.

Yeah forgetting the trans angle which is entirely the fulcrum upon which the outrage rests, consider the situation with all genders removed.

Adult volunteer is making youths uncomfortable with their presence in the changing room, which the volunteer is using unnecessarily.

If there is no good reason for the adult to enter the children's changing room, and just "walking through" does not seem to constitute a good reason,, then they should be viewed with suspicion.

The outrage that this is somehow transphobic is totally unfounded. If some woman was behaving strangely and loitering around the changing room with no cause it should also be viewed with suspicion.

I think if this was a female predator they would have been dealt with quick as people think it's only men predators but there's females as well. But apparently trans people can't be predators.

Number of female paedophiles doubles in four years

The number of cases of child sexual abuse perpetrated by women has almost doubled in four years, new figures have revealed, as charities warn that male victims are less likely to get justice.

While the vast majority of paedophiles continue to be men, police forces are receiving more than 2,000 reports each year in which the perpetrator is female.

Between 2015 and 2019 there were more than 10,400 cases with the annual figure increasing by 84 per cent during that period.

The data, which was obtained using Freedom of Information laws by Radio 4’s File on 4 programme, suggested the gender of the victims was roughly split between male and female.

But groups that support the victims of abuse said boys were still less likely to receive justice if their abuser was a woman.

It tallies with the child protection training I’ve had. They always make a point to mention that women can be sexual offenders too.

How much of those female pedophiles are actually women, though? I agree that women can also be sexual predators, but given the rise in men pretending to be women, how likely is it that the rise in female pedophiles in only four years can be explained by researchers muddying the results by including trans women?

A sex offender is not the same thing as a sexual predator. Predatory crime is a specific pattern of behaviour which has never been observed in women. Lots of people are assuming that there must be women who act this way with zero evidence. Women abuse those who are right in front of them, they don't go looking for victims.

This does also show how vulnerable little boys are if they are alone in changing rooms. As this man stood out more in a woman costume in the girls' changing room. Before he trooned how noticeable would he have been trooping through the boys.' Bearing in mind that children are more likely to be at activities like swim training with their mother. That means that once little boys are too old to be with their mothers in women's changing rooms, they are getting changed alone, from around age 8 or 9, and this kind of man, without the giant red flag of a lady identity can potentially be around them.

Yeah. Having supervised children changing for school swimming lessons at the local municipal pool (one of the worst jobs a primary teacher has to do in my opinion, personal safeguarding is an absolute nightmare unless you have good staff assisting you) I’ve always been acutely aware of people who “just happen” to need the changing rooms when I’ve brought thirty children in.

“Sorry mate, you’re going to have to wait ten minutes because you’re not changing in a changing room with fifteen nine-year old boys, no matter how much you plead with me”.

“Excuse me, why exactly are you in the viewing gallery whilst my class is in the pool?”
