Labour's leader finally accepted that a woman is an 'adult female' yesterday as he confirmed his U-turn on gender self-identification.

After months of struggling to say whether a woman could have a penis, Sir Keir Starmer yesterday tried to clear up the confusion.

During a phone-in on BBC Radio 5 Live, Sir Keir said that in his view 'a woman is an adult female, so let's clear that one up'.

And he said that allowing transgender people to legally identify as their chosen gender without a medical diagnosis is not the 'right way forward'.

Sir Keir told the BBC: 'We don't think that self-identification is the right way forward. We've reflected on what happened in Scotland.

'We've set out that we want to modernise the process, get rid of some of the indignities in the process, keep it a medical process.

'We've always said, I've continued to say, and Sunday, when we completed our policy forum, allowed us to be clear that there should be safe places, safe spaces, for women, particularly in relation to violence against women and girls.'

Great, now drop the Critical Race Theory, Intersectional Feminism and Post-colonial shit and we can focus on raising living standards, ending the flood of economic migrants arriving illegally and claiming asylum and fix public services - the things that actually make people’s lives better.

Now now how ever will we get our cheap labor so we can continue to keep wages low and not bother to hire locals who aren't as easy to fleece?

UK Labour adopting this position would make things very awkward for US Democrats, not to mention Canada, Australia & NZ left/liberals.

The world was quite different two years ago. Groups like Stonewall had Labour convinced that their opinion was the public’s opinion.

All the major UK political parties (Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Green, SNP, Plaid Cymru) supported Gender Self-ID until about 2 years ago. The Conservative government under Theresa May and then Boris Johnson had Bills prepped for Parliament ready to go promoting Self-ID and banning “conversion therapy” (so getting rid of the cure for gender dysphoria and ensuring children get medicalised and then mutilated).

    And then everything changed.

The Conservatives were persuaded to pause the bills, rethink and consult.

The SNP in Scotland forced through a Self-ID Bill at Holyrood and found themselves facing their first Westminster Veto in 23 years of devolution AND a backlash from the Scottish public.

All of a sudden polling appeared that showed the public was sympathetic to trans people but was not prepared to allow them to self-ID their way into women’s spaces or sports. It was a massive wake up call for the centre left who had thought that LGBT etc issues weren’t important to voters (the voters would tolerate anything LGBT), turns out that not only is the T something most people aren’t happy with, it promised to be the question that every Labour MP and especially Starmer got asked everywhere they went “What is a woman”.

    So something had to give.

I’m hopeful that, with Khan’s hated ULEZ and the growing frustration with the environmental movement’s apocalyptic doom mongering, that things like Net Zero and the ban on internal combustion engines and gas boilers will be quietly dropped and replaced with less devastating measures.

I see this announcement as an indication that Labour is suddenly realising that the public isnt going to vote for far left policies and the Blairite wing (of which Starmer is) is finally back in control after the damage done by the Corbynista wing and their loony left policies.

We’ve already had Starmer committing to upgrading the nuclear deterrent and building AUKUS-class attack submarines to replace Astute-Class. Things that the left of the part would never agree to.

If they continue down this route and include it all in their manifesto, I may vote for them instead of spoiling my ballot.

Oh shit this means we have to actually read the manifestos. :(

    Well, that's surprising.
