These are the people who scream the loudest about transparency, until of course being transparent gets in the way of them getting what they want.

Yes, identity politic activists don't really have principles other than furthering the interests of their group

wait, are you saying that all the important figures in world history have not been sesquihemidemiaromatic left-handers?! and that they're not at the same time the most persecuted group in world history?!

(20 outraged college students break in, blowing whistles, banging pots and pans, pulling fire alarms, and shitting in flowerpots)

Holy shit. These people are the fucking worst.

Anna Pokrovsky, who worked on the trans poll, also served on President Joe Biden's election campaign. She said she identified as LGBTQ and that the survey was 'very important … to me and my community.’

So, a lesbi-gay-bi-troon-eer?

Sex is a biological thing, not something that's ... 'assigned'.

Those numbers in favour are still pretty high. I wonder how many people just hung up once they heard the phrase "assigned at birth"?

A lot of people don’t understand anything to do with gender ideology, have put no thought into the ramifications, just want to be tolerant or just don’t want to be called a bigot.

We saw a similar problem with the last Census in England and Wales in which it was discovered that one in six Muslims was trans and the highest rates of troonery was to be found in areas with the highest numbers of recent immigrants.

It is quite telling that the gender split in acceptance is just about the same in the US as it was in the UK with women being way more accepting of troonery than men. I do wonder if that remains if you control for education attainment and profession, as I suspect that you are more likely to be accepting of troonery if you have been through higher education and/or you work in a corporate environment and have been through DEI training - just a suspicion though.

The firehose of data without accompanying critical analysis has become our undoing.

That and they let troons write the question and they did it in the most confusing way possible.

The statistics authority has recognised that the result is 100% down to not understanding the question. People should be fired though, because it’s unforgivable to screw up a census like that.

Ngl that was me at first. I didn't give a shit what other people did, and I didn't want to be seen as a bigot, so I just kinda went along with it even though it made no goddamn sense to me. Eventually just stopped trying.

Nah pretty sure you can quite happily dump the acceptance of it onto strains feminism and their search for the ultimate victim group plus the already known and proven ingroup bias amongst women which would kick in if they consider them as part of their group.

Lets face it feminism has quite a questionable grasp on reality a lot of the time.

DEI training has been been proven to have the exact opposite affect unless you are already leaning in that direction.

As for Muslims and trans? Well they are more accepting of trans women vs gay males so its not totally out of left field TBFH.

A lot of people don’t understand anything to do with gender ideology, have put no thought into the ramifications, just want to be tolerant or just don’t want to be called a bigot.

If anything has led to this rise of bigots, it's how many people have started to realize there is no winning the "don't be a bigot" contest when the other side are proud bigots who are openly looking for a reason to justify hating you for not being like them and are perfectly willing to make some shit up if they have to- and as a result, the "show us tolerance and respect" has given way to "we're going to bleed you out of every single possible thing we want from you, and once you've outlived your usefulness to us, we'll say you're a bigot and kick you out."

If anything, this might have led to the rise in troonery in the last decade, as more and more people who realized this's last gasp of stopping was realizing "so the only way to not be a bigot is to literally be one of you? Well, fine, I'm one of you. Tell me I'm a good person now?"

I certainly think the accusation of being a bigot has lost a lot of its sting. To be called a racist in the early 00s meant that you had done something pretty heinous, like Ron Atkinson’s bizarre racist outburst during a live match commentary (for which he was rightly sacked). Now, simply asking where someone/their family is from is labelled as racist, as is mispronouncing someone’s foreign name.

So the devalued term “racist” applied to greater and greater numbers of people, in inverse proportion to the amount of “classical” racism we see in society, means more and more people accused of “racism” are going to shrug their shoulders and ignore it.

I honestly don’t think we would have seen the backlash that we are seeing to Netflix’s Cleopatra had it been released two years ago, it would have received glowing reviews from the critics and anyone denigrating it would have been called a racist by the mainstream. Now, the only people throwing around the racism charge are the cast and producers and no one is paying them any attention as the critics have thoroughly shat on the show in a way that they wouldn’t have dared to before.

I agree with that, but that's the endgame oppressed groups should HOPE happens.

People giving up and saying "fine, I'm a bigot. Whatever." and going about their day is the positive end to this with people realizing it's over- the worst thing that could happen to them is done and there's nowhere to go from it. Unfortunately, we're seeing as many people do the WORST possible ending for those oppressed groups- the people who respond "so that's it? I'm evil no matter what I do? Fine. Then let me be evil.", and deciding to go all in on bigotry- and now we have the literal Nazi POS'es, literal white supremacists, literal people committing atrocities against minority groups- and it seems to be a bunch of people who were called monsters for so long they're beginning to smash villages like a monster.

I think that you’re right that that’s a risk, but I also think that in general people are good and won’t just resort to evil because they’re fed up or feel licensed to by the dilution of the term bigot/racist.

[–]LyingSpirit472 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I agree with you that by and large, people are good...however, the fact that we're seeing a rise in legit KKK members/Nazis/generally not good people in recent years makes it seem like too many people ARE resorting to evil.

What's worse for this, as there are these people resorting to evil, the dilution of the term bigot/racist is leading to a "Person Who Cried Wolf" scenario as the Nazis are getting more and more power in the world, marginalized groups have every right complaining and telling people about this, and the actual Nazi "we are openly trying to hurt and kill you and everyone you care about" is being hidden with "this person dared defy me and wouldn't let me have my way" so much good people just respond "aww, poor baby...was the big mean man mean to you because they're mean? There, there..." and blow the whiny bastards off.

The poll below about minors is much more against. Except for the first question about counseling, which is misleadingly written to suggest sane counseling but of course actually means transing the kid.

I have to admit, Daily Mail has been pretty based lately.

It's almost to the point where you can reverse the meanings of everything the (((thought-shapers))) say.

"Educate" = 'Propagandize'
"merit" = 'desired outcome'

Never let people get away with the terminology "assigned at birth". This only applies to intersex people. It looks like the people responding to the poll know this.

Trans procedures on kids is worse than a shower in Auschwitz. I actually cannot believe this shit is going on. Please tell me it's fake news. Who let these deluded morons have power?

Sadly, it's very, very real. It's quite simple: demonic forces are let loose on the world and they oppose humans, especially the good ones, so they try to wreck them as kids, making sure they can't reproduce, and many other things.

I used to watch a lot of The People's Voice videos because they have unique takes on things. However, when I go looking for any evidence to corroborate, I come up empty. Because of this, I have begun doubting the validity of these videos, even though I am sure Zuck was tampering very hard with the elections. Where's the data?
