Youtube censors a lot of words and phrases having to do with GC stuff. It's really the only type of comment I make that I have to copy before I submit because of the high chance of site-wide automatic removal. And if it's automatically removed the first time YT machine learning bots remember the overall passage you posted so some heavy editing out and rearrangement of words or substitution of letters with symbols has to be done before you'll be able to get your general comment posted again. Which can take a while. It's so bad I have to do meticulous prose testing on a privated/unlisted video whenever this happens. The comments will get removed in 20 seconds if it doesn't go through. I don't post on YT about this stuff as much anymore because of how much of my time is wasted.

Bisexual women are being failed by their partners: Bi women dating cis straight men are the least likely to be out and here’s why by MarkJefferson in Bisexuals

[–]MarkJefferson[S] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This was in Glamour? Times have changed!

Ikr? And this kind of thing should be in something LGBT~ focused like Fink News; The world is backwards..

This is the number one issue I have always run into- bisexuality is not really acknowledged as existing by a large swathe of the general population, so all gay women are lesbians. Some of us are really dishonest lesbians who use men for sex! I spent most of my teens and twenties being accused of being a lesbian.

That sucks. And it doesn't seem likely to change much until the Bi movement picks back up to cauterize splinter definitions and assert our own manifestos. I don't think anyone can see anything or anyone else now other than the blinding incandescence of the T which can almost imprint onto one's retinas.

They'll go for your partner rather than you as well. Try to embarrass and humiliate him and insinuate that he can't satisfy you. It's a more effective form of homophobia that accomplishes the same goal- punishing same-sex attraction.

I once dated a bisexual man, and that system was reversed. People wanted me to admit he was feminine, assumed he was sleeping with men behind my back, asked us probing questions about what bizarre kinky sex we were having The goal seemed to be to drive us apart.

There's an ever common theme of emasculation when it comes to denigrating males. In the end, denigrating males or females is all about implying that someone behaves as the opposite sex that they are, including having relationships with the "wrong" gender.

"Throw like a girl. Drive like a women.", "Dress like a boy. Eat like a man."etc. hearing stuff like that, from a very early age.

asked us probing questions about what bizarre kinky sex we were having

Perhaps the most kinky thing imaginable: PiV

Seriously though, what one does in the bedroom is none of their damn business. It's not some exception they may make for Bisexuals.

Humiliate for me. I've taken enough abuse, I want someone who doesn't find me repulsive or threatening. Quite a lot of men do both, much higher numbers than I think is widely acknowledged.

I feel like debts should at least be from things given that are proactive and positive, not something that should be neutral like not humiliating someone. That's just basic human decency.

We experience a different form of homophobia from homosexuals. We get the brunt of disgust toward same-sex attraction, while they get the brunt of disgust toward non-conformity and lack of heterosexual attraction.

Hmm, I never looked at it this way before. Heterosexuals don't get into intimate relationships with homosexuals, so the opposite-sex repulsion aspect and gnc aspect is probably what they will see mostly; So they will concentrate on denigrating those aspects of Homosexuality. Not the case with bisexuals. They witness a lot more of the same-sex aspect with us, and react accordingly based on their social conditioning.

I've always thought that bisexual women get treated as horribly as we do because we are seen as tainted and less valuable than other women because of our same-sex attraction. As we often point out here, we have no good choices to make and we mostly just have to survive on our own.

Yeah, I think it's similar to society's devaluing attitudes towards Lesbians in a sense, but because there is no established Bi community, there are a lot less opportunities to just simply say f*** it and 'go your own way' with people who match your sexual orientation. Have to rely too much on support from either the Straight world or the Gay world.

I think most people tend to feel more free to bash their own race/orientation/demographic, because I guess then they don't feel like they are speaking out of turn. Because one usually feels more restricted to do it to groups other than their own, especially if they are liberal or among other liberals.

I think one should be allowed to bash anyone they think is stupid, but they should also be prepared to defend or apologize for their position, because they might just end up being the one who is stupid.

Also, some people are perhaps very self-hating of their own race/orientation/demographic and that's why they do it. It's truly a sight to behold when a person like this really gets going. Because then the slurs and insults can really fly and no one seems to be able to stop them as they burn everthing to a cinders. Sometimes they really just need a hug irl Good Will Hunting style and I'm not joking about that.

This is not a bad use for the label pansexual. Attracted to everyone, no matter how trans their bodies are. Too bad pan is so accepting that it's not remotely gender validating.

Since Bi is transphobic anyways(though they can't ever make up their mind on that) there should be no need for a label like superbi, which means only attraction to non-trans.

[–]MarkJefferson 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This article is great. It shows clearly why politics should always be kept at arms length from matters of sexual orientation. It has it's clear strategic benefits oftentimes, but I'd be damned if some spicy straight activist told me how my attractions/crushes were just privileged choices and I was simply giving in to my political enemies by even having them. They could f*** right off to the moon.

And yeah, Julie Bindel is a tad misandrist, pretty ignorant of Homosexuality and didn't really acknowledge Bisexuality(even her own?). I read a pretty messed up joke she made about keeping males of all ages in camps. It was in bad taste and at best very tactless and unwise. I don't know if she changed much since then but yeah.

So... best not to hug any Ideology, including Radical Feminism- too closely for this reason. You may have some overlap(maybe even a lot) in intermediate goals, but the end goal is different and may be rather incompatible with the things Lesbians really need. A lot of radfems don't really understand same-sex attraction and so wouldn't properly allot for it in their manifestos.

This most likely privileged second-gen immigrant probably has her head so deep into college-style progressiveness she even aware of any of the attitudes in non-Western countries enough to even care about what happens. This is why woke distractions like "queerness" are exclusively a phenomenon of the most developed (usually white majority) countries. Ain't nobody got time or money for that anywhere else.

Honestly, this is the same type of person who whined about cultural appropriation when that white girl wore a qipao to the prom. Oh no, the last thing that Chinese would want to do is propagate Chinese culture; They just want to assimilate Western fashions and customs without ever influencing anyone. I'm starting to think these born in the West poc wokesters are covert cultural trolls sent by the KKK, trained to suppress the real interests of minorities with this garbage while innocently acting as if they were helping(e.g. Islam enthusiasts or anyone who praises bigoted religions in general just because they are foreign and "exotic" belief systems, not to mention the usual pro-communism wank-fest).

[–]MarkJefferson 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Nowadays, however, anyone can be queer for apparently any reason. It has reverted to its meaning of 'strange or unusual'.

That's very true. And maybe that's a good thing in some ways. It's decreasingly associated with gay men but being associated with society's mediocre, shallow, attention-seeking weirdos. Of course, the said weirdos don't even see that happening because they are a mostly non-reflective lot mindlessly clawing for some social status. They still think it means "Special", "Unique" or "Oppressed Minority deserving of Kudos", because they haven't experienced victimization from these gay slurs; They actually want the labels to be used on them, because they have no negative connotations from them. I think one of these days they're gonna wake up and realize they played themselves, that they shot themselves in the foot by labeling themselves rather fittingly as your run-of-the-mill, strange freaks, and at the same time they will have mostly decoupled the word from actual gay males.

I hope to god if/once this T scourge is handled we can finally fully address the elephant in the room that Vulvamort mentioned about how many gays go through the Bi label before they finally realize/admit they're gay. I've heard at least one person on the forum adamantly announcing repeatedly that happens to every single gay person they know. What I rarely if ever hear from people is how that does untold damage to the acceptance of Bisexually as a legitimate orientation when it's being constantly dragged to one side or the other(effectively erased) by spicy-straight and gay tourists. We already have to deal with this "more than 1/2 genders" and "multiple/all genders" definition pollution from every official source on the internet that undermines the very concept of the sex Binary for Bi attraction, but being constantly blamed(personally) for sexuality label appropriation when your own identity that you are born and die with is actively and casually being appropriated and destabilized everyday without any apologies given is adding insult to injury. I don't even want to even be reminded of this outright hypocrisy from some people anymore, but I know I will be.

[–]MarkJefferson 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

But I'm getting real tired of people using our dating history as a way to say we aren't actually bisexual. If that were the case we could look at every closeted gay person as not actually gay because the had exclusively hetero relationships before coming out.

It is an interesting Double Standard on the Burden of Proof, isn't it? And "proof" even has to be shown repeatedly to some, even though once should be enough- but requesting "proof" itself is already asking too much for any sexual orientation, really. Which just goes to show how much Bisexuality is seen as legit. Which means we have a long way to go towards Actual, and not just Token acceptance. It's highly hypocritical for anyone who imposes this burden of proof on others to make an exception for their own sexuality. Can you imagine if it was the other way around and what the reaction would be?

I think some people became much too accustomed to the typical amiability of others to even notice how one-sided these expectations have become. Based on the current standards, I'm effectively an ACE irl right now. But apparently that's not considered a real sexuality anyway. So what am I? We're mostly defined by the transitory whims of other people, flying on the wings of steam. You'd think some people would be able to see the parallels to other things occurring to them right now, but I suppose that's far too much to ask for...

I watch anime occasionally. Maybe a season or two every few months.

Weird how so many people with this interest gravitate toward queer stuff considering it’s rarely present in anime/JRPGs/etc. It’s like... if there’s a cute anime girl Japan wants to be with her and the US wants to become her lol

Interesting observation. Japan and some other east asian countries can more accept 'cute' interests for both sexes and associate it less with gender expression. In many other countries including the US, Masculine usually means Hard and Ugly; And Feminine means Soft and Cute(And god forbid you should ever compliment another man's looks because that's deemed high soft). So if you like watching cute stuff and characters in anime and you're not feminine in other ways that means you be some gender-bending queerio and so you must then support the full gamut of gender ideology to not be a hypocrite.

They all look... funky to me. These are people who willfully destroy some of the most pronounced physical characteristics of their sex to present a mediocre imitation of the other.

I'll add that their faces still all appear female anyway, so no dice.

It's also gotten harder to find stuff that doesn't include the extra stripes or that godawful trans triangle :/

It's like they tried to copy the pink triangle and didn't realize how those stripes(and their meaning) just don't work on a triangle no matter how it's arranged.

Anyway, I just had to look up 'trans ice cream' to see if any have been striped, and there are. But don't think into that any further unless you really wanna puke😅

I also hate that the pink and orange "lesbian flag" is now mainstream.

Yeah, orange is pretty ugly on flags, especially in that quantity. The gender exclusive ones look better.

Yeah, I guess there is a lot of tutoring that has to be done in a group with varying levels of experience. I'm somewhat new to the game so it's still a novelty, though I can see how teaching the same things over and over and needing to continually resurrect less skilled players for your own survival can get old fast.

Dusk quickly turned to night, and I couldn't find resources for a torch, so I survived by jumping between fireflies. As dawn came, I said "thank god for fireflies!"

Oh, that's where you got your username from! And the tumbleweeds they used to drop from, of course.

Glad to hear how you stayed alive and thrived that particular time. It's interesting how gamers can make an outgroup out of newbies who they don't even give the time of day until they have proven themselves through a 'Trial By Fire' like that. I suppose it's an easy way to keep liabilities out of a survival team, but I usually fail that first test in most games. Being a kind of casual, lone-wolf who doesn't really want to talk to anyone anyway doesn't help with the eventual vote kick lol

I have vague memories of playing the hell out of a sim hospital game on Playstation, if that rings any bells.

Theme hospital? I have that on GOG, though I never played it. I heard it's addictive.

I'll never get through playing my own backlog, so I mostly just concentrate on my favorites. Long ago, there was lots of time, but not enough games to fill it. Now, there's lots of games, but not enough time to try out, much less complete them. Anyway, imma take C:S for a run today and maybe it'll end up in the regular rotation. Thanks for the suggestion.

They say they love "hearts not parts" and like people for their personality and not their gender.... But, what does it mean?

Other than the ones only doing it to placate the tra or signal their own specialness, I think a fair number of the younger ones are still socially immature, insecure about of their own sexuality(especially if they are SSA) and scared/squeamish of the stark biological realities of and differences between the sexes and how they fit in. Even more so now that things like sex-ed are increasingly not properly covering the science of the sexes and the real orientations. Their own sexually timid/conservative inclinations are not compatible with what their peer's expect of their political alignment or demographic group, so they may only talk to appear sex-positive and progressive, but at the same time they put up abstracted linguistic buffers between themselves and the concrete subject matter that gives them anxiety and causes them confusion.

With that said, I'm going to bang my frying pan, I'm really attracted to it, so I think I'm pansexual ;)

I recommend teflon-based lubricant.

As more people make it their jobs, Live-streams increasingly take up waay too much time, and many don't bother to edit them down(to show highlights) afterward for quicker consumption and gratification. It's harder for me to get into them for that reason.

Aside from the idiocy of these particular people, maybe the words Gay, Straight, and Bisexual just don't apply for these monogamous Bi relationships. They're either Same-Sex or Opposite-Sex. It's more unwieldy to say, but it's also more accurate and unambiguous, unlike Gay, Straight, or Bi. This is why marriage between 2 men or between 2 women is legally referred to as Same-Sex Marriage and not Gay Marriage(even though this is a very popular term because it's mostly gay people who have them).

There is also WLW or MLM, but these are even more of a mouthful outside of text. Still, even medicine utilizes the shorthand of MSM or WSW. When I think more about it, there are currently no better ways to label a same-sex relationship that has at least one Bi. So everyone just calls it Straight or Gay; It's no wonder we have bi's identifying as something they are not when widespread language like this reinforces it.

So while everyone's arguing about which of these 3 terms is allowed to be used(for most likely straight enbies), people are also missing the point that ALL of these terms are presumptuous and misleading when used in this context. I think only a relationship between gay males or between lesbians should be referred to as a Gay relationship. Others are perhaps Gay-Passing or Straight-Passing. Same-sex should be used when there is at least one Bi. Even calling it a Bi relationship when there 2 bisexuals is not descriptive enough. And ideally, bi's should cooperate to come up with and integrate a catchy synonym for Same-Sex to end this particular form of erasure once and for all.

[–]MarkJefferson 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Years after the fact, my straight friend said he thought I was gay when he first met me. I could probably follow up on that if I had the heart to, because I don't know how exactly I'd given that impression. Of course they're the type to be highly sensitive to perceiving any masculine or feminine leanings(or even compensation) in other people and himself, so maybe it was more a subtle behavior thing on my part. Also, he's completely dichotomous with the gay/straight thinking. He said privately he thought my other friend's brother was gay and a year later it came out that the brother wanted to trans, so maybe there is something to his 'gaydar', or at least 'gendar'.

I'm relatively absent-minded myself and normally don't notice this stuff at all until someone calls my attention to it. We all have particular things about people we pay attention to and the presentation of sexual orientation isn't one of mine's.

Also, because I more recently complained about the LGBTQ+ situation with one of my family members, it confirms something they probably already suspected for a long while. I'll have to set the record straight on that eventually. I just have prepare for some potential domino effect that I can't control. Prepare to expect some dumb stuff coming from my more tactless relatives.

Sorry- I'm being needlessly fatalistic. Some people can deal rather well with the cards they are dealt. But inceldom has its roots. Everyone has standards(for both sexes) so it's never going away, even if transing does.

SpaceX launches Starship SN15 rocket and sticks the landing in high-altitude test flight by MarkJefferson in space

[–]MarkJefferson[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The private spaceflight company's latest Starship prototype aced a high-altitude test flight today (May 5), checking every box from takeoff to touchdown for the first time.

"We are down! The Starship has landed," John Insprucker, SpaceX's principal integration engineer, said during live commentary.

Today's uncrewed test came on the 60th anniversary of the United States' first-ever crewed spaceflight, the suborbital jaunt of NASA astronaut Alan Shepard. The historical parallel is coincidental but appropriate, for SN15's success marks a big step forward in SpaceX's plans to help extend humanity's footprint out into the final frontier.

The stainless-steel SN15 ("Serial No. 15") lifted off from SpaceX's Starbase test site, near the South Texas village of Boca Chica, today at 6:24 p.m. EST (2224 GMT). The vehicle soared about 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) into the sky, performed a number of maneuvers and came back down for a safe touchdown at its designated concrete landing pad six minutes after takeoff.

Also, I don't think it's very....not sure what the word is---I think it's kinda crappy that he would consider breaking up with his girlfriend because of his parents homophobia. The GF didn't do anything wrong...but if he's not that into her, then I supposed there's nothing wrong with that.

I wouldn't just date a woman to prove a point that "I'm not straight", it's silly.

Yep, that's what I thought as well. I was like, Damn the Torpedoes! Full speed ahead!. It shouldn't matter even if the family aggressively gifts them a house or two(oh noes) just for being a straight couple. Or whether gays think he's betraying them somehow by being bi(he can still be a good role model anyway). He should continue being her boyfriend if there's something there. Too bad that at the time of this post, the future was uncertain because the unwanted attention was actually starting to damage their relationship.

Good post though. I'll have to check out r/BiBros and r/BisexualMen. I occasionally lurk reddit to see what crazy or interesting content they may have. I have a feeling the female equivalent will either be privated, banned, or invaded by TQ+. :-/ I'll have to keep on the lookout for it.

I usually go to niche subs which have nothing to do with TQ. Also, I probably should've realized that there's a much higher chance that female-specific subs would be colonized. That definitely applies to Lesbian subs compared to Gay male subs.

Have you tried the female equivalents? The main LGBTQ+ subs are bound to be very colonized.
