Also, it's like looking in the mirror and seeing how badly some trans pass. It's a painful dose of reality, and jarring enough to be considered an insult.

This is a perfect example why this neo-pronoun fad is moronic. Language should be becoming more precise and descriptive, not more obfuscating. I think I'm done with this sub, tbh.

If only more people could be like you in this respect then the world would be a better place.

People here will happily upvote "trans women are women" and similar sentiments, but ask for a bit of introspection about how the language they use can be alienating to other users and suddenly you're Orwellian dictators suppressing free speech.

This guy seems completely ignorant to how much censorship is occurring on this one page alone.

I truly can't imagine this community generating this much outrage over a desire to express their disgust for any other sort of women. Lesbians who aren't attracted to butch women manage to be tactful about it, lesbians who aren't attracted to fat women are more than polite, but apparently nuance becomes impossible when it comes to penises — "remember that some women here have dicks" is warped into "you cannot ever express a negative opinion about dicks".

The sea of red comments says otherwise. There is no tolerance of "nuance" at all.

But I see all the users here fighting for the right to deny trans women the expectation of considerate language, the right to carve out a little niche for us

An expectation is not a right either. But it's not inconsiderate to tell someone the truth. It is the most considerate language of all. Your niche does not belong in this sub.

the right to carve out a little niche for us as acceptable collateral damage of their dislike of men.

[–]MarkJefferson 28 insightful - 1 fun28 insightful - 0 fun29 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

"Queer" is a Trojan horse filled with oppression grifters and attention seekers. "Questioning" may have been the only acceptable addition to the alphabet soup as there are many younger people who just don't know themselves yet but could really benefit from the support of the community. But, like someone here said: At some point, you're going to have to decide. You can't stay questioning forever. And that's why the poser opportunists dropped the term and decided on the nebulous cloud of non-meaning called "Queer". Got the straight majority on board, because they could simply use the same support "template" they used for the lgb. This is why lgb acceptance took so long while tq+ is just blasting forward to bedlam with the help of the wokesters. But it is not the same thing, but they are not even thinking twice about it. They are causing overall acceptance to go down, so I am not gonna use that term unironically.

Is my skull so thick that I just can't grasp their argument or is it simply insane that any child needs a full body transplant because of the clothes they like?

No, these kind of parents are nuts. Their child is definitely not the ones calling the shots here, just along for the ride. They're projecting their own ideology onto the kid.

The whole thing is basically, 'you're not really allowed to ask anything because it's all offensive to me(and my child but mostly me). Forget everything you know about the differences between boys and girls and pledge your full support for my mindset and approach to child rearing or stfu'.

Don't they HAVE to have a gender?

Why this is inappropriate to ask: Who says? Gender is a social construct that has been manipulated and changed over centuries. The reality is that there are so many kinds of people in the world. Transgender,

Which is STILL a gender smh

Maybe this person should be asking themselves why their child needs to be transgender at all if gender is not needed and the so-called binary is so problematic.

Why not just drop the concept of socially constructed gender entirely(let them be gnc) and just go with sex for identification? Oh yeah, right. Because that actually has a clear definition in biology that can't be obfuscated and completely annihilated by woke parents. And they seem to love shifting meanings around so no one understands what they're talking about anymore so they can be all offended and victimized when someone gets it wrong. I mean, how dare they screw it up.

It's like laying a minefield and being all shocked and pearl-clutchy whenever someone steps on one. Give me a break.

I see even Taiwan has this kink crap infecting their Pride events.

She’s more interested in labour rights for sex workers and advancing the wider goals of the LGBT+ community.

That's just the thing. Pride should have naught to do with sex work issues; And it shouldn't matter what orientation these sex workers are either. It's like the concerns of the T. Yeah, there are gay and bi trans with problems but it's still a separate focus.

Enough of this "wider goals" thing. This is what happened to Atheism+(The irony of that plus/cross sign is not lost on me). They piled on so many "wider goals" they eventually collapsed under the weight of their own ponderous religion-esque activism.

Pride has become similar to an American "Christmas Tree Bill", where everyone is hanging their own agenda on to the colourful Pride tree like an ornament.

My boyfriend is pan & cis but leans hard towards men (I know he has one very fem presenting nb ex but generally he’s into masc folks) and he seems to like my chest and overall body type a lot more than I do. Sometimes it’s nice and gratifying but sometimes it causes some dysphoria when he’s like. Too enthusiastic about my more fem traits. So like, some pros, some cons, I guess?

No noes. He's attracted to you; How awful. Poor you.

There's a high likelihood that in a lot of these cases that the woman only likes the guy cause he validates her and there's not even the slightest hint any 2-way attraction there. These relationships are built on quicksand and will all end abruptly one day.

Why do men think that just bc your blessed with a dick they have to wrap their ego around it?

A dick is not a blessing; Trans really do suffer from a "grass is always greener on the other side." type of thinking.

i feel like i have more balls then they do to be honest.

"feel" is the key word

but heaven forbid if i get a visecotmy i won't be a man anymore. like dude get a fucking vesectomy if it makes you feel better, but don't go complain that your not a man anymore bc you don't have balls.

Wait what? That's not what a vasectomy is lol

Lol- Get off your high horse, Saidit Praetorian. A single sub policing itself is not even the real issue with neo-Reddit. The problem is site-level censorship and deplatforming. In the past if you didn't like a sub's rules or had some beef with the moderators then you could always just create a new sub. Problem solved. The way Reddit was meant to be. If the problem there was really bad then people would have the option to flock over to your alternative in droves. That logic has now been broken by the Administrators, who'll ban your alternative sub or replace your mods for any arbitrary reason and call it "Hate Speech". For example, no one would give a hang if they got censored/banned from r/ActualLesbians a long as they could go to a differently named sub for actual lesbians. Thus, r/TrueLesbians was born. And then banned by the Reddit Admin. Gee, I wonder where the true issue lies?

And on the subject of sub policing. Try to make a contentious sub without making rules and enforcing them. It'll go to shit faster than you can say "genital preference", if it even gets going at all. If the mods here suddenly ceased to do that then the lurking TRAs and trolls would eat this place alive like they did with the fallen Guilds on Ruqqus. Are you so naive that you only think in terms of absolutes like 'censoring mod bad' without being able to tell the difference between these two very different levels of policing? Have you ever considered the practical implementation of this ideology of yours? Or did you just come over here to allow your horse to drop a big steaming pile of judgement and ride off into the hinterlands without any elaboration on how exactly you yourself would Build Back Better?

I'm lovin this neo-caste system that has been built up by the far left in the West. Can't question it, either. Especially if you are in a lower tier: Either Cis, White, or "Rich". Younger liberals are scrambling to adopt nonsensical identities just to escape the wrath of their peers worshiping this cultural beast that has been created to "help the oppressed". With intersectionality, gay people can have so much "privilege" that they are not even allowed any sexual autonomy.

Yeah, this is exactly the progressive world I envisioned back in college /s

"queer" is such a pointless catchall word. The Q was and should really be for 'Questioning'. A temporary, liminal label for anyone not sure of their sexuality yet.

Then you pick a letter. I suppose they didn't like that part at all. Because they wanted to stay.. forever.

Anyway, being canceled by the intercept proved to be an awakening for Greenwald.

I found this 2019 study on the differences between androphilic(male-attracted) and gynephilic(female-attracted) MtF when it comes to how old they are when they are dysphoric and when they transition, and I think it might give some insight on the prevalence of some apparent transition spikes for certain age ranges.

edit: The first spike in the twenties can be easily explained as being the general time most transitioners who became dysphoric mostly in their teens finally possessed the funds to do so. Once whomever intended to transition for those years has transitioned, the level drops off almost completely. I'm not sure yet why there's another apparent spike in the forties. And the relative lack of gender dysphoria preceding the 2nd spike as compared to the 1st spike is curious.

Just be yourself. If it's just an act of projecting as "less gay" or "gayer" than you actually are, then the illusion will break down eventually. And the more perceptive people will sense the act. I say- skip all that noise. And I assume you wouldn't want to give a false impression of who you are to anyone you may end up dating. You will want to attract someone who's right for YOU- not your projection.

Kate put cis and trans men into two fundamentally different categories, categorizing them by an assumed difference in bodies.

The Holy Trans themselves created the (Fallen) Cis category to validate their own fantasies by othering non-trans. Because the difference in bodies wasn't just "assumed", but plainly obvious. Time to reap what was sown and accept those boxes.
