Anytime you bring up this stuff as an issue, people on the far left say "they're a private company, they can do what they want!" I don't blame you and I'm surprised I don't see more people like you. It must be hard to have leftist ideals while actually hanging around the left these days. Sometimes I feel the same hanging with people on the right when they start whining about the BLM protests, you can be skeptical about the numbers of police specifically targeting black people, but a lot of the people marching simply want justice and police accountability-nothing wrong with that.

It's sobering to read and watch history so I can better understand how truly incredible lives we live today vs even 50 years ago. In reality, there will always be things that need to be improved. ALWAYS! The world will never be perfect. But we need to do our best daily to improve ourselves, then improve our family situation, then the community and so on. It starts with each of us being grateful for what we have. Then sharing that attitude of gratitude with others. We are so much better than this, as a nation of human beings, as a nation of brothers and sisters regardless of the differences in physical characteristics between us. That's all for now. My opinion on this specific vaccine is irrelevant, I have a big problem with the federal government getting this involved in my personal health, and terms in which I can be employed. Especially considering how unvaccinated people are pretty much only affecting each other, and covid actually hasn't killed that many people (~0.001% of the population here) This goes against a lot of my principles even if I believe it would ultimately be beneficial to our countries literal and economic health.

Heck yeah, welcome! I'm in my mid 20s and while it wasn't such a huge transformation and breaking point like yours, I simply started to realize that I am always trying to bite off more than I can chew. I wanted to dive into so many different hobbies, watch or read every single interesting thing that I came across, take on every project that I could, work out, be a student, work many hours, etc. I was half-assing every category in life and wasting time burnt out, all because I wanted to take on so many different things.

Half of those videos in my watch later playlist weren't that interesting, I don't need to tinker with my daily driver and my project car, I need to stop telling my friends that it has been a busy year, etc. I don't have it figured out yet, but I do think I'm heading in a better direction!

The gardening sounds great, I'd love to get into that when I have a place of my own. I've finally started getting consistent with the gym too, it has always been a phase that came and went every 3 or 4 months, I hope to keep nailing it and become my ideal self.

I think simpleliving would be a good one that a lot of people would like, and it'd have some good thought-provoking content. Also there was a subreddit called stallmanwasright that focused on ethical and legal issues of modern tech, important discussions there as tech continues to change the world.

Other than that there'd be a lot of niche ones for things I'm into like certain car models or vintageaudio. Those won't get much participation but the first step is having a place to do it.
