Trans women act like men. Almost as if ... by jet199 in MeanwhileOnReddit

These "feminist" shills were the strongest supporters of the T in the first place. The fact that they realize they were wrong but refuse to let go of the hateful dogma that got them here in the first place is enfuriating and I will not ally with them.

This is basically my opinion as well. I have a great write-up about it here. I was tepid about it then but now I'm absolutely sure of it.

Feminism built the institutions, voted for the politicians, developed the ideology, and pioneered the strategies that the trans movement now uses in their gambit for cultural dominance. Tactics like deplatforming, cancel culture, and safe spaces did not come out of the ether. They were developed and widely used by feminism, and feminism is now being hoisted by its own petard.

I was going to write a long response to this, but I'll keep it simple.

And when I ask individuals this question, the answers usually either 1) seem pretty fucking left to me, or 2) are not at all what Republican/conservative politicians are doing or have expressed desire to do.

I don't see laissez-faire economics as bedrock-foundational to conservatism. So if you asked me what conservative values are, you might hear a "pretty left" answer in terms of economics.

The real divide, and the reason why the website you're using exists at all, is the difference in cultural values.

If you asked average Democrats and Republicans about their economic values, you probably wouldn't get wildly diverging answers. You might even get answers that seem "pretty fucking left". Consider the issue of $2000 checks, for example.

If you asked them about culture, however... good luck.

Just an example: the conservative opinion on family, and the opinion that family is an evil patriarchical construct that must be abolished, are in two different moral universes.

Another example: the neoliberal censorship that is the reason this website exists. You can't say you don't understand the divide when you are currently using a website that is the product of that divide.

This is why I'm trying to build bridges. If you set up a candidate who is anti-war and pro-welfare for Americans, I guarantee you that you could get conservatives to support that candidate in droves as long as they leave the culture stuff behind. They don't have to be outspoken one way or the other. Just don't openly pledge to use the full power of government to fuck over conservatives on cultural issues.

You get a politician who stands by all the lefty policies you love. Conservatives get a candidate who is objectively better for them, doesn't explicitly hate them as a demographic, and doesn't push the "Republican" BS everybody hates.

Orrrrrr we could keep dividing the proles against each other on hot-button cultural issues that ultimately mean nothing, as each votes in neoliberal/neoconservative candidates on a 4-year rotating cycle, who do nothing but expand the powers of the police and surveillance states. Conservatives supporting free trade and tax cuts to "own the libs", leftists supporting woke monopolistic megacorporations and foreign wars to "own the cons".

First off, thank you for your response.

Who is that, and where are they? That's what we need to know, before we begin assembling the response @Aureus recommends.

You're absolutely correct. However, I don't think identifying "who" is as important as how they operate and how we can emulate that. I've seen a lot of discussions get bogged down into who the elite really are - is this public figure one of them, or are they a freethinker? You can see how that would devolve into pointless arguments and finger-pointing.

But what's absolutely vital is discussion. At least it would be better than the incessant newsposting.

I don't see the key that will allow conservatives to be coherent; it is their nature to be individual rather than committed to a common vision.

You might be right. Unfortunately I don't see a way out that involves purely individual thinking. "United we stand, divided we fall" has too much truth to it.

One of the few individual solutions I can think of would be enjoying the decline, and participating in enjoyable pursuits rather than focusing on politics. Unfortunately, mainstream conservatives doing that is one of the main reasons we're here today.

Hey, thanks for mentioning me. I totally agree with your post btw. It's a shame it's not getting the appreciation it deserves.

I haven't been active on this site for some time for exactly the reasons you describe. The only advantage a site like this could have over others is quality discussion and content, but very few seem interested in posting that. The majority of content is recycled political news. The number of users interested in quality discussion is so small that it would almost be more efficient to make a private IRC channel or Element channel or something.

I'm not sure how to fix the issues you bring up. I totally agree with limiting link posts though. I'm open to discuss any of this if you're interested.

First off, I highly appreciate the feedback. This is exactly what I'm looking for.

What you need is an active community to start collaborating on more in-depth sub-guides on the wiki, otherwise you'll need to dump hundreds of hours into research.

I plan to cover just the basics to start (although I will eventually be expanding into more advanced subjects) so I hope it won't take too much research. I also want to take guides that have already been written and are well-formatted and supply those as additional resources, as I've done in the Grooming article. No point in covering territory that's already been explored.

I totally agree with your assessments for a platform. You're right, on SaidIt and Ruqqus I'm having a hard time finding people who would be interested, even though I find the culture generally better than Reddit. I think 4chan could be very receptive, but unfortunately they do tend to ban self-improvement threads. For now I'll stick mainly to Reddit and stay on the less swamped subs.

Btw, would you be interested in contributing to this or sharing it?

Yep. And looking up Biden's stances on every one of these issues, he is far worse than Trump.

For example: the meme complains about taxes being used to fund the wall (even though Trump's overall tax cut means you're paying less in taxes anyway). Meanwhile, Biden has promised to stop building the wall day one and use American taxpayer money to fund free healthcare and college for illegal immigrants. Hmm, if I genuinely care about low taxes and border security I wonder who I'd pick...

Whoever made this meme has really skewed priorities. Not to mention that Kamala is even worse than Biden.

If they don't want Trump to win they have to provide a better alternative. It really is that simple.

Bingo. I fully agree that Trump isn't perfect, but he is light-years ahead of the competition. Check out my post here for Biden's far worse stances on all the issues mentioned by OP's deceptive meme.

I can't take anyone seriously who would say "Yeah, I'm a staunch activist against illegal immigration and all for border security. But even though I paid less net taxes due to Trump's tax cut, some of those taxes went to building the wall, therefore #fuckDrumpf #ImWithJoe". Makes zero sense.

Trump is by far the best candidate here. Not voting for him is retarded.

Does anyone remember that half a day after the last election when articles came out from democrates saying "maybe we should listen to the working classes, they have legitimate issues with globalised capitalism" and "maybe calling everyone who disagrees with us racists wasn't the vote winner we thought it would be." Then within 24 hours that all got shut down and replaced by "No, we were right, everyone else is racist and we are good."

Yup. It was a little surreal. There was about a day or so of self-reflection, and then it went immediately to blaming Russia with zero proof.

Feel free to do either. There's nothing wrong with building a site from the ground-up and in many ways I encourage it.

That said, it's important to be realistic. Don't censor yourself from the mainstream just to use an alternative. Not having a voice in the public square is incredibly damaging in the long run.

In addition, compare how difficult it is to build an institution versus how easy it is to co-opt one. It took centuries for Harvard to reach the prominence it has today... SJWs co-opted it in just a few decades.

Same thing with Reddit. It took over 10 years for the site to become the powerhouse it is today, but only a few years for the woke left to take it over from the top.

Build, but don't ignore the utility of entryism into existing institutions, and definitely don't isolate yourself from the mainstream.

I can't see how anyone would want to vote for Biden. Even liberals have admitted he doesn't have a real fanbase.

Shit, don't mean to ruin your day but looks like the spammers are back. This time they're on a "u" name.

Their usernames are all sequential words, made around the same time. There must be a way to use that against the spammers, maybe identify and ban them pre-emptively.

Don't sweat it though, if this is keeping you up you should get some sleep. SaidIt can survive a little spam for a few hours.

Thank you for removing it! It looks like the spammer got tired anyways. I appreciate everything you do for the site.

If the spam resumes or gets really bad, maybe have a short-term moratorium on creating new accounts? Not a perfect fix, but it would get the job done.

What?

That already happens. The media spins bullshit about conservatives 24/7. Alarmingly, often the state does too.

Meanwhile, both the media and the state bend over backwards to cover for those on the left. I remember the CNN anchor who called the riots "mostly peaceful" while standing in front of a burning building. Or the mayor of Seattle, who called CHOP "the summer of love" not long before the protesters shot a 14-year-old.

Conservatives know what it feels like to be targeted by the media and authoritarians in government. Liberals and leftists don't.

You remember when conservatives were protesting the lockdowns, abiding by all laws and often maintaining social distancing by staying in their cars, and Democratic governors condemned them as dangerous maniacs? Then a few months later, when mobs started setting fires to cities and assaulting people, the same governors praised them as "peaceful protesters" and let them get off scot-free?

If you can't see this now, you're just willfully ignorant.

I wish I knew what project it was from but I only happened upon that jpeg.

I looked it up and it seems to be from this site. At least the text and the chart match. Unfortunately it doesn't provide more information than is already included in the image you linked.

I'm not sure how high priority this project is for you right now but I thought I may as well ask since it seemed like an ordered list was the next step for the project as you were thinking of it about a month ago (idk if things have changed since then).

It definitely is. I've been somewhat scattered the last few weeks due to everything going on, but thank you for reminding me about the boycott. I'm still interested in going forward with the project, just considering the best way to approach it.

The easiest thing to do right now would be to compile a very short list (around 10) of "absolutely must boycott" companies, the worst-of-the-worst. A short list would be a lot easier to spread around and memorize for the average person. I think the list I have in the OP is a good start, but maybe some companies are worse than those.

I try to make one or two of these narrow and personable marketing comments everyday all across the web and sometime in real life. I don't really have the analytics on how many people that has brought to our sub but I have a feeling that if more of us were engaging in similar strategies our forum and it's ideas would spread despite the heavy censorship we are straitjacketed with.

Excellent strategy. I will definitely mention this from now on.

I can't tell you how many times I've been directed to a great channel or website simply because someone name-dropped it on a wider-audience channel or website.
