Politically I'm independent/moderate/etc, but they keep getting worse each year. I'm getting quite tired of them deciding what kind of car I can drive, what wages I'm allowed to work for, what kind of fence I can have, what I can say online, what kind of guns I can buy, what I do or don't inject into my body, etc. I just want to be left alone.

My opinion on this specific vaccine is irrelevant, I have a big problem with the federal government getting this involved in my personal health, and terms in which I can be employed. Especially considering how unvaccinated people are pretty much only affecting each other, and covid actually hasn't killed that many people (~0.001% of the population here) This goes against a lot of my principles even if I believe it would ultimately be beneficial to our countries literal and economic health.

Well your world sounds different than mine, and I can see why you'd be against it given that experience, crazy stuff. The reactions beyond a sore arm do concern me, I have heard about people having that, nothing lasting that I know of, but still. Maybe I should wait it out for full FDA approval, I'm in a pretty low risk group for covid anyways, like you say it's manageable. Thank God we have the freedom to make these observations and decide what's best for us on an individual level.

I recently put debian on my touch screen laptop and it works great. It took a couple days to figure out how to set everything up how I like but I'm new to it and it was worthwhile. Without the touch screen though I prefer mint.

Many seem to be so focused on how much of a victim they are today and never contrast what a real victim looks like from MLK's era. It's sobering to read and watch history so I can better understand how truly incredible lives we live today vs even 50 years ago. In reality, there will always be things that need to be improved. ALWAYS! The world will never be perfect. But we need to do our best daily to improve ourselves, then improve our family situation, then the community and so on. It starts with each of us being grateful for what we have. Then sharing that attitude of gratitude with others. We are so much better than this, as a nation of human beings, as a nation of brothers and sisters regardless of the differences in physical characteristics between us. That's all for now.
