The sudden influx of trans has been the worst! I used to be a big fan of a certain Tumblr fanartist. One of my favorite characters of hers was a chapstick lesbian whom the artist decided to turn into a transbian. And then she turned another character trans. And then another character trans (who was in an established hetero relationship at that point) and I just dipped. What's worst is that the stories she wrote before it all went downhill were truly about normalizing LGB relationships. They were never like "Hey look at these two gays!! Watch them do gay shit and talk about being gay all the time like it's all there is to them". No, they were just normal characters who just so happened to be gay and they lived their normal lives that way. But since her art has taken the turn for the T it's suddenly all about them going to pride parades, coming out, binding, trying drag, changing pronouns etc. Mind you she had trans characters before and they all were rather likeable. But then she just started erasing the past of the established characters who were HAPPILY LGB BEFORE and any love I had for her art disapeared like a fart on a breeze.

I'll try to give you a quick summary of the events as they unfolded.

A guy on TikTok got fed up with being told he had to be attracted to transwomen because he's straight so he made a video saying he's actually "super straight" and only attracted to natal women. He got death threats for it but also a lot of support and the new terminology spread quickly. A subreddit r/SuperStraight was made and became the hub of the movement gaining 30k members in it's short lifespan.

The movement was a blessing for many, whether gay or straight, who were frustrated with TRAs for hijacking language to cram themselves into our spaces. By adding a prefix of "super" we gained the words we needed to accurately describe our sexualities as trans exclusive. TRAs hijacked "straight", "lesbian" and "gay" after all. We thought: "fine, let them have it. We'll make our own space". That space was r/SuperStraight and it was a place of solidarity between hetero-, homo- and bisexuals.

In it's short life span r/SuperStraight brought light to the abuse LGB people faced at the hands of TQ+. It was a place of joking and memeing yes but it also archived news articles of transwomen commiting vile crimes, shady pro-trans legistrature that's been passed under our noses, the harassment anyone who disagreed faced, and the absolutely moronic logic of the entire trans ideology.

It was a light at the end of a dark tunnel for us. And it got snuffed out by the trans mafia. RIP r/SuperStraight. Too good for this world.

I don't think these people believe that they're actually gay men inside. At least I don't think the majority of them does.

What they're doing is preserving their ego. This woman admits her infatuation with gay relationships has reached the point of obsession and she must feel at least a bit guilty about it. And so her brain does a 360 and goes "you know, if you actually were a gay man, you'd be totally justified in doing what you're doing".
