Thorn has made videos admitting he tried to take his own life in the past. He has a history of severe mental issues which is fairly common in trans people. Mentally ill people are known to be easily groomed by cults because of their brittle sense of self and virtually zero psychological barriers against outside pressure. His transition is almost tragic when viewed from this angle.
