These poor men must bleed onto their man panties because they can't get maxi pads because it is in the womens' aisle, and the boxes have venus symbols on them, and purchasing these items would cause dysphoria because no one wants to be a stinky doo-doo face girl with cooties!

Meanwhile nobody gives a shit about the women in American prisons who don't have maxi pads and tampons, they have to bleed into a a sock or use toilet paper.

It's hilarious how they pick and choose what gives them dysphoria. Boobs? Dysphoria. Chop em off. Menstruation? Make Youtube videos and take photos to show how "men" also menstruate. Pregnancy? Call a national magazine and insist they put a picture of you being a pregnant man on the cover. Referred to as she or her. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE over the dysphoria.

Seriously, I remember as teenage girls going through our "we hate being women" phase, we HAAAATED our periods above all else, followed by the indignation about pregnancy and giving birth, while boys get to sit around and scratch their balls. It's reversed for these FTM trans-derps. They love their periods for some reason, and being a pregnant male is like some sort of fetish.

[–]fuck_reddit 18 insightful - 3 fun18 insightful - 2 fun19 insightful - 3 fun -  (7 children)

Well... “mpreg” or “male pregnation” is apparently a fetish on tumblr. I don’t know though if it’s popular anongst women, men, or both. Also, iirc, other users have said that male impregnation is a theme in yaoi from time to time. Though I may be wrong on that last bit.

[–][deleted] 14 insightful - 5 fun14 insightful - 4 fun15 insightful - 5 fun -  (5 children)

The last line is definitely true, especially with the rise of "omegaverse". Don't blame me if you google it.

It’s an increasingly common fetish for straight women. If you want to wish you were dead, just look male pregnancy up on the Kindle store. Lots of straight women fetishizing gay men and male pregnancy all over the Internet.

[–]DestructionI ❤️ adult human females 24 insightful - 4 fun24 insightful - 3 fun25 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

It has to be a fetish. From my cursed days on Tumblr I know that male pregnancy (or mpreg as it's called over there) is a common fetish. These fine genderspecial folks are just bringing it into reality for everyone to see.

[–]DestructionI ❤️ adult human females 25 insightful - 1 fun25 insightful - 0 fun26 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Or women in Nepal and other places in the world who are banished to menstruation huts for being "unclean". Guess they should have just identified as genderspecial as these fine folks do, then they wouldn't have to suffer from the cultural oppression of women. Problem solved!

[–]8bitgay 24 insightful - 1 fun24 insightful - 0 fun25 insightful - 1 fun -  (10 children)

Right? When we say TRAs are too limited by traditional gender roles they don't accept it. Yet they're so limited by traditional gender roles that a product not being marketed to their "gender" becomes a huge issue.

Meanwhile I, a cis man, have bought products and even clothings from women's sections. And somehow this never made my gender change!

[–]julesburm1891 21 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 0 fun22 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

Right? I regularly buy boxer briefs from the men’s section to sleep in and men’s soap and shaving cream. It doesn’t give me any kind of distress.

[–]Three_oneFourWanted for thought crimes in countless ideologies 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I've always wondered, people accuse manufacturers of having a "pink tax" on soap, creams, and the like advertised specifically to women. Is this legit manufacturers selling the same product with a markup or is there actually a difference that warrants a price discrepancy? I've never bought "women's" stuff becuase I always go for the cheaper generic brand version, which is usually not marketed to any sex or gender

[–]lovelyspearmintLesbeing a lesbian 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

There really isn't a difference, and when there is, the price difference doesn't make sense. Let's look at razors. I find that not only are men's razors cheaper but they also cut closer to the skin without damaging it. I never buy female razors because of the price and limited range/ability to shave. Men's underwear is also usually cheaper too, made of softer material than most women's underwear, and more comfortable even when there is a women's equivalent (boyshorts are usually shorter than men's trunks which cover a lot more and are more flexible).

[–]julesburm1891 8 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 0 fun9 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Sometimes there’s little to no difference and sometimes the men’s product is better. The 99¢ shaving cream I get from the men’s section in Target is the same as the $4 women’s shaving cream. The $4 deodorant I get for the gym smells “manly,” but it works way better than the $7 ultra-strength women’s version. My fiancée will only buy men’s socks because they’re almost always double the thickness of women’s socks. When I need basic canvas sneakers, I get a pair from the boy’s section (feet are too small for men’s) because they’re usually made better than the women’s ones and look the same.

[–]Three_oneFourWanted for thought crimes in countless ideologies 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Wait, so not only are the women's products not better, but they're worse than the cheaper versions!? That's absurd!

[–]julesburm1891 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

A lot of times they’re pretty much like the generic just with fancier smells and packaging.

[–]DestructionI ❤️ adult human females 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The boy's section is truly a blessing. I'm short and thin as a rail so there is no way I could fit into a man's jeans without them hanging off of me like a potato sack. But I fit into boy jeans just fine.

They think they need to state that these people have periods because they think it'll come as a surprise.

But you know, except for the 2 bearded ones if I saw any of these people with clothes I'd just assume they're butch lesbians. It's no surprise that butch women have periods.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee~=[,,_,,]=^_^= 20 insightful - 1 fun20 insightful - 0 fun21 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Even the bearded ones, something looks off and once they start talking or you see them walk you know why.

Also why are they wearing mens briefs. They are made different because men got balls and a dick. None of them pee standing up.

[–]8bitgay 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, I think they look kinda masculine on this specific picture, if you focus on their faces. Especially compared to the other people around them who are much more obviously women.

This doesn't mean I think they'd pass as men in other pictures, especially if you saw them next to cis men.

Menstrual Positivity!

WHAT I EXPECTED: helping women in poverty and imprisoned women access sanitary products, encouraging self-advocacy and open communication with medical professionals, reducing stigma and increasing education

WHAT I GOT: useless language policing and shaming, constant chiming in and demand for mindfulness regarding gender feefees, another excuse to scrutinize and harass women's health providers, exactly one PSA that I used to see on television a couple years back about speaking up at the gyno's office wrt period changes and pain

It's funny how, in their rabid quest for individuality, they all came out looking the same.

[–]fuck_reddit 23 insightful - 4 fun23 insightful - 3 fun24 insightful - 4 fun -  (2 children)

An MIT professor calls it the “hipster affect.” Here’s an article about the study he did: https://www.technologyreview.com/2019/02/28/136854/the-hipster-effect-why-anti-conformists-always-end-up-looking-the-same/ it’s cause they aren’t actually for individuality, they’re against “cis” people.

[–]Three_oneFourWanted for thought crimes in countless ideologies 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I have always found hipsters ironic for being the antithesis of the individuality and uniqueness they claim to celebrate. There's nothing wrong with a subculture focused on good beards, craft beers, flannels and the rest of the hipster aesthetic, but to claim that they do all of this for individuality is a lie. They want a comminity, just not the "traditional" one

But with this group, the two with beards are the only two that really stand out much from the rest

[–]slushpilot 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

[–]censorshipment 20 insightful - 9 fun20 insightful - 8 fun21 insightful - 9 fun -  (0 children)

This is appalling even to me. I used to free bleed because I hated wearing panties to attach maxipads to, and there was no way in hell I was going to insert a tampon/menstrual cup into my pussy. I was so delusional and dysphoric that I ignored my period. To see these masculine women being exploited nowadays for the trans agenda makes me sick.

[–]GreykittymommaMagical lady 💜 22 insightful - 4 fun22 insightful - 3 fun23 insightful - 4 fun -  (4 children)

Fuck these gals. Lol at "dudes" in ad campaigns with fake blood... well what I hope is fake blood coming out of their manginas. Yuck. Put a tampon in and deal with it like the rest of us.

[–]lovelyspearmintLesbeing a lesbian 16 insightful - 4 fun16 insightful - 3 fun17 insightful - 4 fun -  (3 children)

Also if they knew anything about periods, they would know that shit don't stay red for longer than a few minutes, so they must've simultaneously all bled seconds before the picture was taken.

[–]GreykittymommaMagical lady 💜 19 insightful - 4 fun19 insightful - 3 fun20 insightful - 4 fun -  (1 child)

Thank you. This is truly offensive. Somehow they are too dysphoric to be called a woman but not so much that they can pose in underwear with fake blood smeared on their genital areas. How very manly 🙄

[–]Three_oneFourWanted for thought crimes in countless ideologies 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

They pick and choose what things make them disphoric and what needs to be shouted the loudest based on what path makes everyone around them hate them more. Pronouns that everyone uses in day to day life? Yelling at people pisses people off more than any other option here, so misgendered pronouns are dysphoric. Periods? It pisses people off more to scream that men can bleed from their vaginas, too, so periods are not dysphoric, but empowering and everyone must look at it.

That doesn't look like real blood. Granted, I'm a guy, but c'mon, that looks like firetruck red paint. I think the statement would carry more weight if it was real, to say "hey it's not dirty or sinful to menstruate" (because women in third world countries are treated like it is) but they have to "sanitize" it too.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

[–]purrvana 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I guess they think tattoos make them more "manly"?? That's my guess, even though - in my experience - millennial and gen Z women have more tattoos nowadays than men do.

Also, there's a trend of "tattoo tours" on influencer youtube accounts (where they show off all their tattoos). And young people, in an effort to "catch up with the trend", will just get a bunch of random tattoos to go from having none to being covered. This results in a bunch of misplaced and mismatched tattoos with no real flow.

On the day that the announcement happened that trans are allowed in the US military they must’ve been celebrating because a disproportionate amount of these people with periods showed up at my work. And I was bringing out an order to someone called Bryce who had a beard and when they spoke in was the highest chirpiest voice. The mismatch was so incredibly startling I had to stop myself from swearing out loud. I’m just a normal butch lesbian and I can’t deal with it.

Well, all of these humans seem to have several body modifications. Perhaps tattoos are a gateway to eventaully getting other parts of oneself modified? Removing healthy organs is (slightly) less of a jump after you've already marked up otherwise healthy skin with ink

Holy god, all those mastectomy scars on young bodies.

Hey, if its any consolation to them, they'll eventually stop having their periods when the testosterone causes uterine and vaginal atrophy and they have to have a hysterectomy. Where's the awareness campaign celebrating that?

[–]jackthelassforgot 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That "blood" looks obviously photoshopped. Well, photoshopped might be generous - more like MS paint. Weird shapes, too-clean borders, uniform color saturation.

With the amount of effort put into the photo itself (matching clothes, good lighting, studio backdrop), this makes me suspect that this could just be a generic transman glamourshot, and some completely unrelated TRA creep decided to co-opt the image for their own purposes and make this a menstrual thing. With zero awareness or concern that some of those FTMs look like they've been on hormones long enough their periods might have stopped by now, or that they might be 'triggered' by the suggestion they still bleed or the reminder that they do. I know more transmen than the average person (side effect of being a lesbian into butches these days), and none would be comfortable getting blood photoshopped onto a picture of them. ((I'm also amused/saddened at how many ended up more "transphobic" than me, because of how TRAs/MTFs treat them.))
