This woman's reasoning for keeping us together is where we are headed and dangerous to LGB. She's basically saying that we should stay together because we are all gender non conforming compared to heterosexuality and society. Basically we are ALL under the trans umbrella.

I Lived through the 80'S+ and it was always homosexual or Gay & lesbian. G&L rights, G&L bookstores, G&L bars, G&L community center, organizations, magazines, etc. Every book talked about Gays and lesbians, anything the dealt with "Gender" was about masculinity and femininity, but within your own sex, and not denying your own sex. Getting someone to interact with a person with the opposite sex genitals was considered an attack on our sexuality by homophobes. Bisexuals were included eventually as they were overlooked in our community. It was all about drag queens, not transexuals. They came out of nowhere, though now I know they were fighting to get in for a long time.

I wonder why these people never question WHY organizations like Glaad (The gay and lesbian alliance against defamation) only include homosexuals in the name if trans were there all along.

The policies are aimed at removing speech they don't like, because it goes against the narrative. I'm ok with pride parades, it's not a march anymore, but more like a gay themed festival, which is more a sign of progress than anything else. I remember marching in one in NYC for what was the 25th, I think, anniversary of stonewall. Turning by the U.N. and then staring down a huge avenue of LGB people, I remember it affected me greatly to see us in such huge numbers, and perhaps for younger people having pride would still help them in some way. I don't remember crazy clothes except for floats with boys dancing in speedos, and the drag queens of course. The small parade in my borough was pretty sedate too.

I haven't been to pride in ages so I was shocked to see the fetish gear around children... I don't remember children at all back in the 90's, not enough gay parents or straight people wanting to show up. I don't think it needs to be family friendly, even if it is a public event, though I'm not sure how that would work legally.

The problem now is that it is all about gender, a big club you join when you are some flavor of queer, meaning straight people can join in too. 3What was supposed to be a civil rights movement is now a gender and fetish parade/party with corporate backing. They aren't concerned with the civil rights aspect as they will exclude anyone not in agreement with queer/gender ideology. This is actively hurting us. Couple that with the kids attending and we don't look so great. For example there was video of the roof party with a toddler twerking. Also, I absolutely don't see a need for the thing called pride month... you can stagger events around the date of stonewall but calling it pride month where everyone from mass media to schools have to "celebrate" it whatever that means is overkill in my opinion.

The idea that conservatives don't get is that it was called pride because we were not going to hide in shame on that day like they wanted us to. To me it's pride in the not being ashamed sense. I think LGBTQ+ have to go back to this idea, instead of calling it a celebration.

I don't think it peaked them, but they were getting tired of the gender theology being forced on them in the culture. Suddenly something that is marketed to them has gender ideology on it, "woke" ideology on it, which left them feeling encroached upon. If there was a product marketed and used mainly by progressives, and then they put the head of the NRA on it, the left would have a problem with it.

What made it worse was the head of marketing was caught in a viral video saying how the brand was too heavy on frat culture, basically making fun of the people who were the majority of Bud Light drinkers. She was trying to appeal to a new market of people who would never buy Bud Light.

So basically you have this buffoon (Dylan) who they think is mocking women as well as spreading gender ideology splashed across their beer, and they decided to teach Bud a lesson.

The ironic part is that the woke LGBTQ++ decided that Bud should have supported trans instead of scrambling to cut their losses, so now LGBTQ community and bars, etc. are also boycotting Bud. So they are in a no win situation lol.

I am. I got into an argument with a gay guy insisting he was gay. He identified as gay. But he loved vagina, occasionally. I tried to say that would make you not a homosexual but bisexual but he wasn't buying it.

But to be bisexual and never seek an opposite sex partner, does that make sense?

I can't answer that as I am not bi, but my understanding is that they sometimes date only one sex for awhile then switch...but I don't think this is that. Bisexual is a the spectrum part of human sexuality, so someone could be all the way on the gay side of it but not be a homosexual.

But my sexuality was very clear for me so I don't get these guys who decide secondary sex characteristics are good enough.
