Trans people and drag queens were not even allowed in the Stonewall bar and those who pretended to be regulars when in reality they never were such as Malcolm/Marsha and Sylvia were not allowed in and were seen as the nutcases or people to avoid that they were.

I'm not sure about this. Early newspaper reports highlighted drag queens during the riots.

A top lesbian could be comfortable with being on the receiving end. What you're thinking of is a stone butch. They don't like to be touched at all during sex, and it's rare. I haven't come across one myself. A pillow princess is kind of the opposite, which is a bottom who doesn't care to do any work to pleasure their partner.

Sometimes, but like SerpensInferna said, it's become more popular in recent years. Most lesbians are switches. In some countries, like Japan, the top/bottom dichotomy is more important to lesbians.

Allow yourself to enjoy fantasizing about your classmate. It’s harmless. And it’ll fade. Give yourself permission to experience the thing that equalizes all human beings: the unrequited crush.

Nothing wrong with treating your classmate like a commodity.

Where do these dumbasses get the idea that protecting children is a "white middle class thing?" Do they really think people in Japan, India, China, Nigeria, etc. would allow this nonsense into their schools? This is how you know they are in fact the racist ones: when they're so clearly out of touch with the rest of the world.

We have a very similar experience in that regard. Our identities are being torn down by the posers who for some reason magnetically gravitate to the LGBTQ+ community. I have no problem working hand-in-hand with true asexuals - after all, they struggle with real issues that society as large doesn't understand. But in the end, we're not the same thing and shouldn't be joined together in an acronym that no longer means anything. Screw the fake queers.

I'm seeing it myself. A woman described herself to me as a "top" when she has sex with her husband. I tried to explain that a straight woman can't be a top, but she wasn't having any of that.

Other terms I find used often are "spilling the tea" and "breeder," and of course "queer" means just about anything nowadays. I find all this appropriation offensive, at least when the original meaning is distorted to fit in straight people.

I absolutely loathe the term queer. Back in the 90s, I was fine with it. It was used by ACT UP and Queer Nation. It stood for something back then. Now it's used by heterosexuals who just want to feel special. The worst is when a clearly straight person in the news media uses it in place of gay. It's like gay is a bad word now and they're afraid to say it because it's too exclusive.

Was there ever an anti-LGB backlash to an ad campaign with similar consequences to the Bud Light fiasco? by JulienMayfair in LGBDropTheT

[–]RedJackal 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

There was plenty of backlash by conservative groups in the 90s and 2000s. Companies that offered domestic partner policies to their employees were targeted, along with companies that held special events for gays or were perceived to do so. Disney was an early adopter of domestic partner benefits, owned the channel Ellen was on (ABC), and had Gay Days at Disney World (though it wasn't officially sponsored). The Southern Baptist Convention voted to boycott Disney over these things.

I know that's not an ad campaign, but it's worth mentioning. Ads targeting the LGB at the time were largely restricted to gay publications like The Advocate.
