Dead giveaway for being a transman: refering to yourself as "dude" all the time.

While I wouldn't really call it weird, what totally makes more sense is for a woman to feel empowered by a badass female character. Besides nowadays, if a boy would say they feel empowered by Samus, they would be called an egg and encouraged to transition.

Why not hold up the same standards to this person? The dude can become a girl again.

If I like a character I don't care about the sex. A lot of mvies I like to watch are like black and white old mistery movies, when the protagonist is always a man and the woman is just there to kiss him.

Samus is one of the most hardcore video game protags ever!

An intergalactic bounty hunter who slaughters space pirates wholesale with a fucking beam cannon that's strapped to her arm. I'd be shocked if anyone, regardless of sex, didn't feel empowered while playing a metroid game.

It's not even samus either. There are so many female protags that are just amazing. Zelda, bayonetta, jill valentine, pretty much every soul calibur character, orchid (killer instinct), terra (ff6), sonya blade, 2B, A2, paula (earthbound), rydia (ff4), tifa (ff7). Katt, Nina and Bleu were the best characters in breath of fire 2. And that's just off the top of my head. Even princess peach stomped some serious ass in super mario rpg.

Stop caring about the sex of the character and just love them for who they are. Fucks sake.

Edit: almost forgot marle and lucca from chrono trigger. Holy shit they had some of my favorite double and triple techs.

    Samus has been my go-to example of a female protagonist for a long time.

    When that whole gamergate bs happened suddenly every hyperbolic SJW from Tumblr was an armchair expert on video games and it was like one after the other claiming there were no female heroes in video games.

    So i would just respond with "Samus". It seemed like they were confused because it wasn't a barbie looking ass hero.
