This was an epic example of morons not reading the room. I'm not sure they are all guilty of being from a single generation but they certainly are all idiots.

That is a great video, very compassionate, but real and not coddling of the issue. Can you recommend any more LGB affirming youtubers? I am just now starting to see that more than I realized are out there.

Brad Polumbo (gay) and Arielle Scracella (lesbian) are two I know who are LGB. There are some decent T commentators out there but I think we can agree they have their own niche to occupy.

Thank you! I appreciate it.

edit: Here's a list of some LGB-supportive news and media outlets! I need to go update this, I bet there are more now :) Can't believe I forgot about Arty Morty on Youtube.

A lot of people on this sub like Mr. Menno (I don't keep up with his stuff, but I like what I have seen), who is gay.

I am a fan of Schrodinger's Transcat, an apparently AGP (and possibly bisexual? suggested in at least one of his videos) guy who has some amazing videos summarizing how AGP men have harmed LGB people and women, like this one. He has a pretty unique video format, using lots of pop cultural references to illustrate his points, which I find fascinating in and of itself (I didn't realize there were so many cultural references to transgenderism!).

Also, LGB Alliance has a Youtube channel that they post stuff on.

I think I made a giant list ages ago with LGB-friendly media outlets, I'll try to find that.

This reminds me of a couple things. One is that this is somewhat similar to the way gays used to respond to homophobic public sentiment back in the day but we always had either a positive or ridiculous spin on it. Basically the public would have this over the top stereotype of how gay people were and you would respond by just being that stereotype but it would end up being funny because the person is upset over something dumb. Like I'm thinking of the video of a work office and people are lined up to use the photocopier. The dramatic gay comes flying in pushing everyone out of the way and he's saying urgently "move I'm gay!". Then he copies his document. That sort of reinforces the stereotype but it is harmless. I also get reminded of gays gentrifying bad neighborhoods. Basically gays got excluded from polite society and they would move into bad neighborhoods then fix up the houses and make the neighborhoods desirable for middle class people. Some of those people would be homophobic and say things and the response was basically yes we are coming to decorate your house and make the neighborhood safe for your kids.

These people have that same mentality but they are basically reinforcing the worst fears of the public. Instead of making the critics look ridiculous, they are making their defenders look ridiculous.

I remember seeing an old pride sign saying "That's Mister Faggot to you!" Very tongue in cheek. I get that these people are trolling the right but it's the worst possible way, at the worse possible time. The conservatives on you tube are all enjoying it.

No, they're just being truthful. They're coming for the children. Any good cult will tell you that you have to start by raising the children in your beliefs.
