Everyone knows the Protocols were written by the Russian Tsar's secret police. Nobody believes they are genuine. The only people who quote the Protocols are Israeli agent provocateurs who think that "antisemites" believe the Protocols are genuine.

Israel needs antisemites to justify itself. When there aren't enough, they have to fake them like they fake evidence of Hamas.

Who is talking about eliminating property?

If you think communism is about eliminating property, you don't understand communism.

It's the capitalist WEF who wants to eliminate personal ownership of property, at least for the plebs like you and me. We will "own nothing" and like it, they'll own it all. Every capitalist's dream is to let their investments work for them while they do nothing -- which is to say, for them to collect rent from the people actually doing the work. Same as tech companies -- why sell people software when you can charge them a monthly fee for access? It's all about the subscription model, baby.

A very timely article, with helpful info. Whilst corporations buy up available properties, or charge massive maintenance fees for condo owners in shared communities, and houses are increasingly unaffordable, renters are stuck with the only affordable option of renting. Over a period of 20 years, renters could pay as much as $200,000, which was in the 1990s double the cost of a cheap house in a major urban area, and in the 1970s it was as much as 15x the cost of a cheap house. Now it's increasingly rare to have children, so who would inherit a house when your dead? Perhaps sell the house as part of one's retirement plans, and then live in assisted living? Sure, but only if you're lucky enough to avoid equity loans and to pay off that 25-year mortgage. I hope the housing bubble busts, however. Every couple or family should have their own home.

BTW: I saw a political TV ad yesterday by the 'Conservative' Party, aired after the national news (each party does this once before an election, 2 May in our case). In their alloted time the focused on ONE topic: keeping neighborhoods safe from knife crime, claiming that the've added 20,000 police since 2010 (the last Labour government). The problem is that knife crime is still very rare in the UK and we can see that the Tories have nothing else to campaign on, after Brexit and their government destroyed the economy and social services. Rather typical for the right to focus on fear mongering because they've failed at governance.

Basically for all areas with any development to be walkable then all areas either have to be 100% non-developed or 100% developed, with no in between.

Are you saying that the only areas that are walkable are wilderness and buildings?

Because that's not true.

It's just not realistic for these lower density areas to be walkable, or just randomly cease to exist.

You can increase the walkability of suburbia by ensuring safe pedestrian infrastructure and providing shade and lighting. And by putting walking paths and small parks between streets to make the area more permeable and pleasant to pedestrians.

It can be done without dramatically increasing or eliminating population density.

Or are they going actually bulldoze entire counties worth of developed land to turn it into farm land?

Farmland isn't particularly walkable.

The problem with a "free speech" platform is that people value their anonymity, and that brings both good and bad with it. Unfortunately, making it pay-per-view would have to introduce doxxy payment methods.

Also, history shows that people are not willing to pay a small amount for such things, as sites for free e-mail/social media flourish, while paid ones remain tiny and obscure. Does anyone remember SomethingAwful?

I wonder if running a site with a crypto-currency protocol baked in would be possible. Basically pay the equivalent of a few pennies over a blockchain verification to make your post/comment go through. That could slow down bot-spam, and make it easier to regulate/block certain addresses if they even find it worthwhile to buy a chunk of crypto to do it. Even have those posts signed as a way to verify who someone is, as only they would hold the private key.

I think it is only practical that different spaces have different degrees of walkability, but I agree the meme was not clear at all.

Basically for all areas with any development to be walkable then all areas either have to be 100% non-developed or 100% developed, with no in between. It's just not realistic for these lower density areas to be walkable, or just randomly cease to exist.

What's going to happen to the areas currently in between. Is it going to be endless urbanization? You are going to need a lot more people to fill that space so I guess start having babies. Or are they going actually bulldoze entire counties worth of developed land to turn it into farm land?

That's the problem with these ideas. It's just selling the outcome people want as if some government policy could just make it happen and as if it really were some democratic decision. What time does a clock tell after quantum tunneling?

Does the particle kinda jump through the barrier with no time passing? Or do they both move at the same speed just that one takes the forbidden path, so to speak.

The key feature of quantum mechanics is that all particles are also waves. This means, among other things, that they have an internal clock, because waves change periodically. We can’t actually measure this waving for one single particle but we can measure the difference between two particles which is how interferometers work.

They haven’t actually done the experiment yet, the paper just explains how it would work. It proposes to create entangled pairs of atoms that start out being synchronized in their waving, let one run into the wall, and the other one past it, and then compare the results. That should allow them to figure out what’s actually going on.

In AWT we can model tunneling with basin, in which surface ripples overcome obstacles through extradimensions of surface, i.e. through underwater. Yes, underwater waves are faster than surface ripples, but they mediate energy across obstacles in indeterministic way.

10 parents who spoke to the National Post after their children began socially transitioning their gender in Ontario public schools.

The parents spoke to the National Post on condition of anonymity because they feared that publicly criticizing trans-affirming care would endanger their relationships with their children and damage their reputations and livelihoods. Their names, and the names of their children, have been changed. A number are health-care workers, from nurses to hospital administrators. Some volunteered their progressive political leanings.

Like it or not gay couplings do not produce children. It stands to reason that any centralized planning will only value such relationships when they have a situation where they don't need more children.

Gay people are really too small a percentage of the population to have a great impact on the birth rate, and lesbian couples can easily produce children with a minimal sperm donation. If a government really wanted to increase the birth rate by any means, one step would be to outlaw contraception for heterosexual couples.

Definitely grounds for divorce I think.

The advice I'd give to the woman in such a situation is to basically be like nope and get out of the relationship before the real drama happens. If my spouse told me they were actually a boy or a girl I'd be long gone before they even realized I wasn't accepting of it.

It seems to me that any state that is interesting in controlling the means of production is going to take a keen interest in the means of producing people.

Like it or not gay couplings do not produce children. It stands to reason that any centralized planning will only value such relationships when they have a situation where they don't need more children. The massive post war population booms being a good example of this. Such a situation isn't sustainable and as population demographics shift you'll see a focus back on traditional relationships for procreative purposes.

I think a more interesting idea to ponder is the benefits of gay relationships for any sort of corporate entities. It somewhat makes sense to me that corporations would be interested in hiring gay employees as they are far less likely to take parental leave.

As said before the only winning move is not to play. You either straight up don't allow it or you quit. It wouldn't be allowed if the women on the team all quit in solidarity.

Since it's women's sports it's really a women's issue and I think rather than blaming the trans-women for taking advantage of these obvious loopholes (it is basically cheating) a large share of the blame needs to be put on the women who allowed this situation to begin in the first place.

Don't play games, don't fuck around, just give the ultimatum. Either you don't allow trans-women to compete on the women's team, or else I will resign. Enough women do that and the nonsense ends.

You don't have a choice anyway in the long term. If this is allowed more and more trans-women will dominate women's sports and it will essentially become a trans-women league by default and you'll be edged out anyway. Why not just quit of your own accord now and not bother to deal with that nonsense?

Gay rights is a football that's been tossed around all over the place. I've seen arguments to the effect that capitalism is fundamental to gay identity because wage labor makes it possible for individuals to live outside the structure of the traditional family.

I also heard that China is now doubling-down on family values because they see the patriarchal family as a tool for social order.

American Communists have never really lived under Communism, so I think they tend to see it as some sort of benign anarchy, bless their naive little hearts.
