The boot stamping on our face is pretending to let up a bit for election year.

Smoke until you stop caring about elections.

No, we need everyone to vote for the right persons, even if that means independents.

I can't remember the last election a candidate didn't dangle the possibility of legalization around.

They never would actually do anything since enforcement of the drug laws just made too much money.

But the legal hemp derivatives snuck in almost defacto legalization. Cops can't tell if you're toking delta 8 or 9, it's been a real game changer. They might as well make the law reflect the reality of the situation.

The other day I ordered an eighth online seeing as I live in California and it's legal but illegal in my town, $30 for an eighth plus $23 tax and $12. Site said free delivery's over $60 so I clicked for quarter of weed and wow it was extreamly over priced so I canceled. This is what happens when government is in charge, $65 for an for an eighth.

You're spot on, but geographically, it is getting better. I travel a lot, and Michigan for example is really decently priced, compared to Chicago for example. Vegas has fallen way more inline over the years as well. California though? Good luck.

When I visited California I went to a pot shop I was really excited to try some legal weed till I saw the prices. The tax rate is ridiculous.

And I thought everyone in Cali would be toking, but I smell weed more commonly in Texas.

Still, you have the option of black market bud if you can find it without the risk of dealing with a completely illegal substance.

I say keep it black market. Who wants to pay 500 an ounce?

When I was a youngin the penalties were significant. I knew a lot of people fucked over with drug charges. You'd lose your job, apartment, and if you had enough weight (and I don't even mean anything crazy) the cops would try for civil forfeiture of your stuff.

It was a bit nerve wracking, especially for something that advertises its users far and wide with the smell.

Now a days even in illegal states it doesn't even really matter.

It's better for it to be legal and to use the black market anyways.

Yeah, I agree with that last statement. It is not legal where I reside. But if it was, I'd still buy from my trusty hippie lady as I've done for decades. These dispensary prices are astronomical. The shit I get from her killed Elvis.

Yeah, the "war on drugs", especially weed, is a farce.

Shit, I wish I had a hippie lady to buy bud from. Last dude, and he was cool as hell, I actually got along really well with the guy for someone so much younger than me, was up on murder charges and then got busted again for weapons I believe.

I liked that he was business like. You want something he has you buy it and that's it. Very transactional. You don't have to hang out and pretend to be their friend, or wait for hours or days to get a call back. I've spent entirely too much time in my life waiting on plugs.

I don't have anyone to buy from and haven't for a while. I could cold cop it, but I'm not that interested in doing that anymore. The legal hemp derivatives are close enough and so much cheaper.

Hahaha for sure. If this lady goes away I would be screwed. I'm honestly lucky.

Before her, it was just like you, painful process to be sure. Ran through soooooooo many people.

Funny enough, this lady is so cool and we actually do hang for a second when I go there. Hahahaha. It built up to that, but still.

I was actually talking to a friend about this the other day, how when this part of your life is easy and painless, you are truly spoiled.

Unfortunately, drugs breed shadiness. It just is what it is.

You know what I recently found out, you don't have to be a California resident to get a medical marijuana card, and then you can order online from legal dispensaries. Although the taxes are insane.

There's clear web sites too that don't care but I don't know how you could tell if they're reputable unless you just bite the bullet.

man I feel super privileged living in Virginia. I'm on my 3rd outdoor grow and 4th indoor since they legalized here. haven't paid for bud in many moons, and when they open the stores next year, I won't be buying from them. Home grown is where it's at. There is no mystery on what your smoking
