Blonde hair and blue eyes are both recessive genes, but they would still be present if they had them historically. There are also reports by the Romans that Jesus was much lighter in complection than most other jews. It's hard to imagine these guys have either neanderthal or blue eye genes. But maybe there was a different group of jews who did or still do have those features.

One possibility is that they have neanderthal DNA but none of that DNA controls eye or hair color. Or there is bad data somewhere. For example the jews who had themselves tested are inharently self selecting and that biased the test for neanderthal dna.
