The irony is that when I talked to my dad about it he just scoffed and said "there is always someone claiming the world is coming to an end and it is never true". I couldn't believe he had that opinion. I thought he was ignorant for ignoring science like that. Turns out he was right. Not just about peak oil but about the whole paradigm. There is always another bullshit doomsday claim. Over population, global cooling, global warming, nuclear winter, water shortages, running out of helium, Y2k, supervolcanos, blackbody asteroids, super bugs, financial meltdown, end of days, automation, AI, etc.

The most over used propaganda fear tool has got to be the doomesday clock. The one where they tell you that something can be happening for any amount of time without causing harm, but once it reaches the 11th hour shit gets real. It gets dangerous at the very last minute and by then it's too late to do anything about it. So they can literally take any every day occurrence and turn it into a massive threat that needs you do panic and do whatever they want you to do to save the world from this thing that has existed forever.

There is in fact soot everywhere, if you cared to look for it. That it is not so thick that it turns everything black does not mean it is not there. If you had an air filter you would notice it getting black much faster than normal. If you own a home go check your furnace filter.

When you burn tires, as with most things, the black smoke you see is soot and does not cause the greenhouse effect. You also produce co2 and other gaseous byproducts. Co2 is a greenhouse gas. The level to which Co2 effects global temperatures is not fully understood. It certainly has some effect, but not as much as the global warming alarmists claim.

It sounds like you are confusing carbon ash with carbon dioxide. One blocks out the visible spectrum from reaching earth, the other blocks out infrared spectrum from bounding back out into space. It sounds like you think that your experiment disproves the greenhouse effect theory, but it does not.

However, you could easily show that temperatures on a cloudy night do not fall as much as temperatures on a clear night. Clouds are a far stronger greenhouse gas than co2. It's not even disputed by anyone. However no one has ever attempted to measure yearly cloud cover and compare it to global temperatures. Heat is also generated from within the earth through what we believe is nuclear fusion (but no one really knows) there is zero studies that make any attempt at measuring the heat generated within the earth. There is also heat generated by all human activity. As the global population increases so does the heat produced by human activities. That includes transportation, manufacturing, heating homes and buildings, wars, and exercising. No one has ever attempted to factor that heat into any kind of weather model.

People who believe in global warming do not give a fuck about science. All they care about is what authority figures tell them.

I don't think that it's impossible for a woman to beat a man, you can just get an 80 year old guy and any non retarded woman. But this fight is staged and cringe. There is no way he had her in a headlock and couldn't bring her down to the mat. She was absolutely not bent over like that and holding up any significant portion of his weight. And why would they stop the clinch when he had a free hand and was punching her side? That is not how MMA works. He was clearly showing everyone that it is a fake fight by how lightly he was tapping her so they pulled them apart.

If you watched this fight and think it's real you have some massive bias that is keeping you from seeing reality.

I did a research paper on peak oil when I was in grade school. 95ish. They were predicting peak oil by 2012 and no more oil by 2020. This wasn't just kooks making random predictions, this was the best science calculating how much oil exists, the rate of consumption and the increase in demand. Factoring in new oil finds that were accessible. As you can see oil is still plentiful.

Several factors make this a bullshit claim. First off, clearly fracking has made a huge difference. But even before fracking we were using "unprofitable" sources like Canadian oil sands and it was sustainable at $100 a barrel without destroying the economy etc. The Peak oil theories never factor in market forces that will simply make fuel more expensive while we transition to a different fuel source. On top of that we were already able to get to deeper oil pockets that were previously determined to be impossible. The Ocean floor is relatively unexplored for oil. It's there. It can be reached.

This claim also relies on the claim that we need oil to fuel cars. We don't. Cars can run on many fuel sources at a slightly higher cost. The end of oil would not be the end of civilization in any meaningful way.

Iran wants nukes because they need something to defend themselves with. That's it. Nukes would never give them the ability to conquer another nation, but it would give them the ability to kill the ruling class of another country. You can't defend the white house, the central bank, or the mansions of billionaires from nuclear attacks.

Zelle already exists. You can have credit unions support another system just like that and completely circumvent the banking/tech cartels.

but it WAS specifically black ghettos,

Oh, of course. The crimes that the CIA committed against black people were "specifically against black people". That doesn't change the fact that of all the crimes we know that the CIA is guilty of you specifically chose this one. The CIA is known for importing cocaine on a massive scale and the claim that they reserve that cocaine for sale in only black neighborhoods is absurd. The CIA did not exclusively harm black people. They continue to harm people and should be stopped. But that is not why people like you bring this up. You have an agenda and it has nothing to do with stopping the CIA.

This does not justify yet another contrived welfare program that does nothing. Especially not another one that is doled out to people based on their skin color rather than some measurable trait.

Why are they saying that it is a conservative group when the majority of the politicians they show are Democrats?

Aside from that incongruency there has been for the last couple of years a push by certain left wing groups to try and replicate the "jews control everything" conspiracy theories with replicas that claim Christians control everything. It really started getting pushed on 4chan with memes that were facsimiles of the infographics that connected Jewish organizations, CEO's, politicians, etc with symbols within money, policies, and larger social trends; replacing them with Christian organizations, CEO's, politicians and symbols they claimed are Christian (like keys). So while there are definitely left wing conspiracy theories that simply originate the same way as right wing conspiracies (mostly organically), this anti christian stuff in particular really seems contrived in a created in a pitch meeting kind of way.

Real left wing conspiracies generally blame more abstract things like "white people" "capitalism" "the rich" and "society".

So what?

I only ever hear radicals bring this up and to them all this means is that they get victim points. Not even because they are addicted to crack, but simply because they are black and claim victim points for every bad thing that has ever happened to every black person who ever lived. And somehow it falls on to every white person to forever pay for those victim points, without any accounting so that the debt can never get paid off regardless of how much is paid.

The CIA gets away with far more heinous crimes. They hide behind security clearance privileges. They circumvent laws with any kind of bullshit excuse they want because no one can ever challenge their bullshit because it is a secret. They should be shut down immediately, audited and prosecuted for crimes. But you will never get BLM to support that because that organization is run by the same corrupt government entities who operate the deep state. So what the fuck does it matter if one of the heinous things they did was spread cocaine addiction throughout black communities? Black people don't care except to the extent that they can use it to demand more from white people who had nothing to do with it.

People who claim that stereotypes are wrong because they are not 100% accurate 100% of the time do so because the are dishonest and simply want to deny the reality that stereotypes expose. It is a fact that white people have fewer kids. It is a fact that immigrants have a much higher birth rate in western countries, particularly those who live on welfare because they get more welfare the more kids they have and they don't have jobs to occupy the majority of their time like everyone else. They could be short on staff at one hospital while laying off staff at another. This would be especially expected since any particularly infectious disease would show up in pockets, thus effecting individual hospitals a lot while not effecting others at all. Logically they would just send the patients to other hospitals, but for many reasons that's not happening. And since the media's agenda is to exaggerate the threat as much as possible they will straight up lie and say "hospitals are overwhelmed" and when called out on it they will just claim "we didn't lie, there are SOME hospitals that were overwhelmed".

I think the best way to explain to one of the sheep that this pandemic is a scare tactic is to point out that if it were real we would be on a hiring binge for medical workers. We would have doubled and tripled the staff by now just to have them on standby for when the shit hits the fan. The opposite is happening and that proves that the scale of the problem is utter bullshit.

It absolutely could be $65k. Land out in the middle of nowhere is cheap, and he doesn't say how much land he has. If he cut the boards himself from the local trees that would be huge savings. Not that he did that though. But if you aren't counting all the labor, tools, and don't have permits or codes to follow that is easily doable.

What if there was a way for everyone to have their own subs hosted on their own servers? Then the main site would have the front page which would source from a selection of subs, and have an index of all subs. But everyone's web browser would store the IP of every sub they are subscribed to and go there directly whenever the site is down. Your web browser would throw up a cached "offline" version whenever the site is DDoS'd or shut down for ease of use. Then you would just click through to your favorite sub. Each sub would store the encrypted user/password file so everyone can log in with the same user and pass on each sub.

That is just not true, the guy is a billionaire and you have been brainwashed by the media. You need to learn to think for yourself. It seems to me that there are two sides to these "discrimination" topics. One side says that a certain group has some general deficiency and the other claims that group differences don't exist. This can easily be tested. But the group that claims the differences don't exist refuses to accept testing. Clearly one side is bullshitting, and it is clear which.

Once the bullshitters are called out on it they switch their argument to something like "not all" or "other factors cause this". Which they inexplicably expect you to accept with no evidence, and if you don't that is proof you are a biggot.

I was thinking in line with No-blacks type policies in college as well as segregation into essentially ineffective schools. The point isn't what the policy is, the point is simply that "setting your house in order" does not literally mean cleaning your home. The example can be any oppressive policy, intentional or unintentional, that holds you back. Proving that such a thing exists is also besides the question. The question assumes that such a thing exists.

So what is one to do in that kind of situation?

The point is that socialists believe that the system is holding them down, and simply arguing about whether that is true or not over and over is tiresome and unproductive. This is question is posed as a thought experiment to further the conversation.

"setting your house in order" can be getting an education. If you are banned from attending school that would be an example. If you want a contemporary example you would have to ask a socialist. But the question assumes you found something. I think it is a tall order to prove that nothing like that could exist, and short of that it would be foolish to simply assume it can't.

First of all finding patterns IS intelligence. The idea that finding a valid pattern is somehow a mistake is wrong. Just because you don't like the implications of this particular pattern doesn't mean you can just pretend that the pattern doesn't exist. That makes you ignorant. Others who are less ignorant will have an advantage over you.

If the woke ideology were anything but retarded it wouldn't have to be enforced with violence. People who hired using false assumptions would suffer for it, and those who didn't would out-compete them naturally. This competition can't be allowed to play out because in reality the all white, or even better the companies that hired based on IQ scores, would clearly win and prove that racial differences matter.

Literally anyone who has any doubt can spend a day going from neighborhood to neighborhood with different demographics. This works really well in Chicago where we have lots of natural segregation. There are lots of Mexican majority neighborhoods, they are all very similar to each other, and they are all different from the black majority neighborhoods and the black majority neighborhoods are all very similar to each other.

The differences correlate far far more to race than to income. There are other factors like income that make differences, but none of them are as powerful a force as race.

I didn't. What exactly are you reading into what I wrote? How else would you classify human races? We can obviously interbreed, yet we clearly have different group characteristics. "breeds" was already taken. I don't see any problem with inventing the term race to distinguish us from animals.

There are a lot of stupid things that have come from racism, intersectionality, and wokeness. But I don't think any of those things originate from, or are contingent on classification.

Unwinding is important to productivity, but it only works if you are wound up.

The internet is like a tree and these threads are the leaves. Each one a little entertaining, but fleeting and destine to decompose into nothing. Perhaps we should have spent this time with Peppermint Patty. Maybe she would let us rest our head on her lap and say "good boy". That would be nice.

Human races are no different than dog breeds. The biggest mistake is not systematically improving humanity through selective breeding, or programs that encourage desirable traits to proliferate. High scoring teens should be encouraged and funded to start families before going off to college. Free childcare, a stipend, free college.

It's fucking insane how we are literally watching our societies crumble under regressive forces and we do nothing about it.

The problem with getting into positions of power, aside from the fact that you are competing against established players who install their own puppets, is that you need to have a secured form of outside funding and security. No one with the intelligence to succeed at the task is dumb enough to risk it all for an attempt.

I can imagine a few scenarios where a group might get together and start to achieve some success, but with the entire social media establishment subverting any grass roots operation nearly all of them are killed in the womb.

Any small organization that is able to form, with competent and motivated people, would almost certainly be able to get more success simply focusing on their own financial gains.

It seems that the only likely scenario that could lead to the unseating of subversive forces from positions of power is to have a critical mass of people who are smoldering under the collar but not revealing their feelings, and an event that can be used to spark a small revolution is seized upon by the right person at the right time.

To that effect I think the best thing to do is keep feeding red pills to the masses, and grow the fire. It may not seem like anything gets done, but it is setting the stage for that possibility. Every small beachhead, like free speech oasis, that spit in the eye of the oligarchs is worth far more than can be measured.
