Food prices are at least double. People are buying cheaper alternatives, and that might reduce the cost of their bill to only a 37% increase but that is not an apples to apples comparison.

I would not trust the new York post to be honest about something as politically charged as inflation, especially in an election year.

It's not double around here. 37% feels about right. Like if it was $5.99 before, now it's $8.20.
