Tomato picking in the garden ~ Some make it into the house, and others don't.... [video]
Some tomatoes are ripe for the picking, which is amazing since a brutal hail storm shredded my garden last month.

Cayenne peppers are beginning to ripen. I have collected two red ones so far. This pepper plant weathered a horrible hail storm a month ago, so it's a small miracle that it is producing any fruit.
"Seedless" Watermelon, Second Generation ~ Last year we bought a watermelon from the store and I found one seed inside, planted it in the spring, and from the homegrown fruit, I saved about 64 seeds. It was small, but tasted sweet and refreshing.
New frog (or toad?) visited my garden. I have never seen this variety before. It was hiding inside a container of rain water that I use for my plants. I tilted the lid for him, and the next day he was gone.

First Tomato Blossom of 2023 ~ This plant was grown from seed I saved last year. The parent plant was an Early Girl. This plant is the next generation and may have different characteristics from the parent plant. I'm curious how it will perform. So far, it is the *earliest* to blossom.
Trinity of Zucchini Blossoms ~ Seen this morning in my garden.
A welcome friend to the garden: Ladybugs have arrived to my garden to help eat the aphids.
Zucchini Blossom ~ This summer squash is now flowering in Arkansas.
Yellow Bell Pepper in Giant Pot ~ This is my first year to grow pepper plants from free seed I saved, instead of buying plants. This little plant is my best one so far and just got transplanted to its permanent location in a large container.
