And as you shared with your aunt, I shared this melon with my wife and daughter, which made the experience better. I also hope sharing the experience here on Saidit promotes peace and encourages people to try to grow good, healthy food for free.

Looks great, I have some sugar rush cantaloupe plants growing now, they might just eek out some fruit before winter.

Do you think the heat Texas has been getting is slowing down the growth?

Yeah, it's been rough. My basil especially kept dying, although I finally have some small plants, I usually grow them in the beginning of the year and they'd start flowering soon. Although with these cantaloupes, I just planted the seeds from one I bought in the store recently, on paper they might have enough time before the temps get too cold.

The melon I picked is also grown from seed, which cost no money. The seed came from a melon that grew in my garden three years ago. Well, I hope you get some good fruit of your own, even though it's a tough year for gardening.

Yes, they are good. I picked my third one yesterday. There are none others in the garden currently. That might be it for the year, unless the weather improves and we do not get an early frost, which has already been forecasted.
