According to the study that was featured on the Fung Bros, Asian women constantly ranked non-Asian men over Asian men. However, they gave Asian guys second place in their rankings. The first transgender person I spent a significant amount of time with was my niece's girlfriend who identified as a boy at a time. I was supportive. I figured they must have a male brain, but it didn't take long to realize there wasn't a single male thing about the girl.

I feel for her. She’s quintessential “I transitioned because of being traumatized as a girl/ young woman.” She was not only abused by men but also a couple of women. She talks about it fairly openly, and has no concept of masculinity. She’s just trying to escape her own petite femininity due to being victimized by even those who should have protected her.

Every time I see her now, I remember how much I enjoyed her in her early career, and then lament what it cost her. Ellen needed serious mental health care.
