Very nice. You're dead on. This is why I mostly only read like reuters and zerohedge. Reuters to hear it from the horse's mouth, and zerohedge to hear about the things the horse never talks about.

If you get the chance to try with a controller I'd say give it a shot. Games like Gungeon tend to work better that way (called twin-stick shooters).

For instance, I don't have an Xbox One, but I do have a controller for one that I use with my PC on some games. If I was playing Gungeon on PC it's probably what I would be using. I'm sure mouse aiming works, but I wouldn't want to miss out on 360 movement.

I view it as more of a joke about how quickly reddit is to ban subs these days. Cat memes are about as offensive as they dare get without being banned. I like it. They know reddit is dying.

You might be pleased to know that there's a very similar bug for people modding RE2R; The ending scene may show the protagonists walking on nothing but ethereal fog toward a sun.

Oh wow. Those rockets do look quite unstable. They're very tall and have those short legs, those would be hard to land under human control. I wonder why number 4 exploded.

But the lunar module looks quite stable to me. It's short, and its legs stick out.

And according to this article, the lunar module DID have computer assistance:

On final descent, Armstrong noted that the automatic landing system was guiding Eagle toward the boulder-strewn floor of a crater the size of a football field (”West Crater,” not shown below). Armstrong took manual control and skimmed over the crater, landing in a flat plain beyond. Eagle had only about 30 seconds’ worth of fuel left at touchdown.

Do you have any other reasons why landing a lunar module would be impossible, other than the instability of SpaceX rockets?

My brother played it years ago. Our GPU caused a graphical glitch which led to Silent Hill-esque fog everywhere, and he couldn't dodge the boulder, so he stopped playing. For years, he thought that's just how the game was, and years later did he find out it was a GPU glitch.

I wouldn't consider it vetting either. It was a last-ditch, tape-on-the-hull solution that really couldn't have turned out any other way. And yeah, he definitely should've managed permissions better. Hopefully stuff like this doesn't happen in the future.

If any pages are stuck, you can do a "hard refresh" in many browsers with ctrl+shift+R, and that may un-stick it. If you keep having problems, please please let us know because we need to fix this bug. I think we've mostly got it fixed though.

Some of it is worth saving a lot of it is outdated unless folk are curating it there's no real point to doing it.

I see lists of public torrent sites copied straight from /r/piracy that have several old links in them.

I'm PC Master Race through and through, ever since our dad got us that Pentium 4 with 512MB RAM, and we played LEGO Star Wars and Indiana Jones and Conquer's Bad Fur Day, and Super Meat Boy all day. Good times. Also, I just never felt comfortable with a controller, but my hands fit on a keyboard and mouse like I was born with the damn things in my hands.

I agree completely. If I was on the team working on the site redesign, I'd probably go to sleep with a headache every single night. It's one of the most bloated and non-functional pieces of software I've ever seen. And the worst part is that it literally only exists for the purpose of making ads look like normal content, and for them to easily hide stuff without others noticing. Then they have some extremely minor feature upgrades (that simply do not require such a massive UI overhaul), and pretend that's really why they're doing it.

Despicable, tbh

That's pretty interesting. But I wasn't referring to CRPGs. I was referring to tabletop. Have you ever played anything like Pathfinder, Fate, Deadlands, Call of Cthulu, GURPS, etc?

As for other genres, I'm a huge fan of micro-strategy like the original two Fallouts, Tom Francis' previous two games, Heat Signature and Gunpoint, and his upcoming game Tactical Breach Wizards, which I'm super excited for. I'm also a huge fan of roguelikes, as I mentioned before, like Dead Cells, Enter the Pungeon, and Wizard of Legend.

In terms of books, I'm a sucker for some hard Sci-fi, Fantasy, or Sci-fantasy, although I have yet to find something which pulls off that last one well, so I decided to just write one for fun. You know that they say, necessity is the mother of invention! I guess I'm also a pretty big fan of soft Fantasy, since I'm currently fighting the Poetic Edda. Classical Urdu literature is also really awesome.

The indie market is definitely where you should look for good games. Lootboxes have led to me losing pretty much all hope in AAA, but indie continues to push out beauties like Hyper Light Drifter and Cuphead.

Thanks for the website! My brother and I always say, "If it ain't free and open-source, it's botnet."

I'm really into prequel memes. My previous catch-all username had my name in it as well and when I joined the one Discord server I used my typical "hello there" greeting. Someone replied "General Kentobi" and I loved it. The rest is history.

That's awesome. I took 7 years of piano lessons too. I can read bar-staff sheet music, but I've always found it super tedious and boring.

Then I learned to play guitar on my own, and learned the chords-based tablature way of describing music, and then I realized I could apply that to piano. Then it was off to the races
