The FDA definition has changed so that it more ambiguous than before (I wonder why). Current definition: https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/cellular-gene-therapy-products/what-gene-therapy

But formerly:

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) defines gene therapy as products “that mediate their effects by transcription and/or translation of transferred genetic material and/or by integrating into the host genome and that are administered as nucleic acids, viruses, or genetically engineered microorganisms. The products may be used to modify cells in vivo or transferred to cells ex vivo prior to administration to the recipient”.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0378111913004344?via%3Dihub

“Translation” applies to mRNA therapies. You can parse all you want, but whatever the case, you are introducing ribonucleic acids that may or may not degrade quickly, and thus may or may not continue to produce proteins that may or may not have unintended consequences.

Thus, a need for long-term safety studies.

Much of the insight is aesthetic, ie prelinguistic. But most of that layer of reality is really aesthetic, isn’t it? The problem with “knowledge” is that it’s verbal, left brain. That’s the real issue. Jesus is asking us to use our right brain.

In terms of an example: I think the people who could read the Covid psyop for what it was, were people who had some sense of spiritual discernment. Those who lacked that discernment really couldn’t see it. Several authors have made that observation as well: It wasn’t about intelligence or education, it was about spiritual discernment. A very specific example is the meaning of masks. It’s obvious how sinister the 2020 mask aesthetic was, especially where children were involved; that is, if you have even an iota of occult, or archetypal knowledge. It totally gave the game away. But if you can’t read at that level, if you’re not literate, then it was invisible.

Please bear in mind that I grew up with this training and I’ve kept it up. It’s retained in some families and Christians should not be frightened of it if used appropriately. I am also a member in good standing in a Christian (mainline Protestant) church, although I am more conservative than most of the members of that church.

This should make you think about the real intentions behind the space programs. They try to take ownership of heaven while still trapped inside their human shells. I agree with you that love is higher than knowledge. However, I don’t think that in this realm, love without some kind of discernment is enough. Most Christians didn’t see through what has been going on in the last four years. That tells me that something more is needed.

Also bear in mind that we have been systematically dumbed down over the last 500 to 1000 years in terms of our ability to read the world in its archetypal layer.

The phrase “t minus” comes from physics. It’s just a way of referring to the time axis.

However, I don’t think space is exactly what we think it is (in common culture), and I believe that NASA is aware of its deeper dimensions. And yes, a lot of their names and slogans kind of seem to reference occult secrets. BTW, I don’t view “occult” as equivalent to “satanic”, it’s just another layer of knowledge that is kept from most people. If even slightly more people had access to that knowledge, society wouldn’t be in the mess that it is in right now, as enough people would be able to discern what was going on. And be motivated to stop it.

Choosing the bear over the man kind of represents that doesn't it?

Statistics fail. The game, as it usually posed, is that a woman meets a random man or a random bear in the forest. A random man is likely to be harmless, or even helpful. The man that some women actually select over all other men can be a violent thug.

Feminists are brainwashed not to see the vast majority of helpful men, and instead focus only on the men who are harmful. Classic selection bias.

Allow me to clarify. First, I am a gay man, legally married to another man for over a decade.

However, there are many other issues that are more important to me, especially when the major lgbT issues on the table right now concern intrusive demands I don’t believe in. Especially those of trans people.

I am more concerned about the widening economic gap between rich and poor, concentration of wealth and value in fewer hands, the centralization of control of almost everything that matters, unchecked immigration, and the right of the common man or woman to be left alone: whether you’re gay or straight, or even a straight person who doesn’t want to be around gay people.

Yeah, sure, Trump isn’t great. But Biden is a dumpster fire. Either way our country is going to collapse, but it will collapse faster under Biden. Maybe that’s a reason to vote for him, just so we can get it over with more quickly.

I share your distrust of the medical system, for the reasons you state, even though (or maybe because) I work adjacent to it. I am on no pills: though there are a couple Rx that might actually benefit me in the long run, I'm still holding out for effects of behavior modification.

I agree that some irreversible procedures are necessary for minors, related to serious (not made-up) medical issues. But even the ones that are outside the realm of gender can be iffy: when I was 13 they tried to push an orthopedic one on me, even back then I could tell it was experimental, I said "no thanks", and I'm still fine 40 years later.

I don't know if the legislation you propose would actually work. There are a lot of systemic moving parts and I'm not sure that would be enough. The other aspect of all this is the enormous pressure put upon young children via the public education system (also corrupt) and social media (do I even need to comment on that one?). But you do bring up an issue that worries me about all of this transgender-related prohibitory legislation: state involvement in medical care, either via prohibitions or (especially) mandates. I do not want the state telling me what I can and cannot do, and especially what I must do, with my own body. There's something about the transgender phenomenon that makes me wonder whether the whole thing (both sides) is a subtle long-game trick to get the state deeply involved in medical care. I can't as yet quite map out the whole thing in my mind but my antennae are tingling about it.

Blacks are overrepresented in crime statistics, but not every black person.

On Christianity, well: actually, I think that fundamentalists are essentially devil-worshippers, so on that position I just think they're projecting (to clarify I'm a mainline Protestant).

I do think the nuances matter in terms of policy.

On the trans issue, the right compromise is to protect minors from irreversible medical procedures the same way we prohibit them from getting tattoos, drinking, etc. For adults: do what you want. But don't blame other people when it explodes in your face.

Why are you on Saidit then? This place is populated almost exclusively by people who conform to black-and-white thinking ("I hate every kike", "I hate every faggot", "I hate every nigger", "I hate every devil-worshiper non-Baptist-Christian", etc.).

I base my beliefs on personal experience or research that is unlikely to have been corrupted by special interests (the latter obviously being subject to personal biases, but those biases are based on personal experience).

My personal experience leads me to believe that all trans-identified individuals fall into one of the categories I mentioned above ("not a monolith" but still largely categorizable). I don't have a problem with adults making personal decisions I view as foolish or even catastrophic. But I do have a problem with children being subjected to irreversible medical procedures because of peer-pressure or Munchausen parents. Especially when most of those children are either autistic or, if left alone, would grow up to be reasonably well-adjusted gay people who still have all their parts and thus have a chance at finding the companionship that God meant them to have.

I don’t give a shit either. Here’s my worldview: “transwomen“ are either homosexual men who can’t deal with being gay (or more likely their parents can’t deal with them being gay) or else incels/autists who think that somehow transitioning will make them attractive to lesbians, and then get pissed off and abusive when they find out it doesn’t work; “transmen” are sexually abused or autistic woman, or else lesbians who can’t deal with being gay (or more likely their parents can’t deal with them being gay).

I could spend several hours putting together sources to justify my position, but you and everyone else who believes what you do will just simply dismiss my citations and it will end up being a total waste of time. I have better things to do. So let’s all just agree to believe in what we want to believe. Since that’s what we’re going to do anyway.

Any study that uses self-report as a primary metric is inherently flawed. Good luck trying to get a truly objective study funded on the transgender phenomenon. It is abundantly clear that powerful and corrupt interests want to see more transitioning. That’s why nobody believes “scientific“ studies about trans people.

Maybe… But science as we know it today is an epistemological black hole. You’re either believing what you want to or believing what somebody else wants you to. In either case, it’s probably not the Truth. Or even close. And you are explicitly warned against “doing your own research“ which means that you’re being discouraged from even attempting to find the truth.

I laugh every time I see somebody write the phrase “doesn’t believe in science”. It’s almost always written by somebody who doesn’t actually do science. Therefore, they know nothing about the actual cost of doing science, the politics of grant funding, the funding priorities of foundations and government agencies, the flaws of peer review, and the general replication crisis, which is only getting worse over time.

It’s shitty entertainment, but it isn’t inherently sexual. At least not RuPaul’s version. The stuff that children were being exposed to at gay bars a few months ago definitely was. I would call that grooming. My point here is to maintain a sense of scale. Black-and-white thinking isn’t going to help us get out of the mess we are in collectively.

I don’t think RuPaul is particularly sexualized. I mean yes, he’s the epitome of crass pop-culture, not my cup of tea, but I don’t think in this case this counts as grooming. Maybe just woke, lax parenting.

Depends what you mean by eugenics. If you mean a bureaucracy that determines who gets to have children, then no, too vulnerable to the kinds of corruption that happens with increasing centralization and control. That would ultimately make matters worse. If you mean cleaning up the perverse incentives that currently distort the genetic marketplace, then yes.
