The reason that I use that translation is that it is recommended by academic biblical scholars for its dedication to funding the most original source and translating with the most word for word accuracy.

It's not impossible that it hurts my conclusions coming out right, because accurate word for word translations leaves idioms and metaphors that will be missed without a knowledge of how these were used anciently.

But probably what you're objecting to is the stripping away of the distortions of the original that other common translations impose on the text because the translators wanted to influence the meaning to fit their beliefs about what it should say, or worse, to influence what Christians believe to have power over Christian society.

Dang. I assume that puts a damper in my goal of cloning humans (myself) without permission. It's actually really easy. Only about two additional steps from standard IVF. I'd argue it's more ethical than standard IVF because fertilization is easier in IVF so you tend to fertilize many eggs and then abort the less viable. Cloaning you do more careful weeding out of the eggs before fertilization and then fertilize only one. So cloaning doesn't involve implicit mass abortion that IVF does.
