Japan has no theft or murder 😂 😂 😂

Imagine thinking that Japan, home of the yakuza, has no theft.

• Crime boss "Luffy" (Yuki Watanabe) and three other men coordinated a wave of robberies in Japan from prison in the Phillipines.
• Other organised crime gangs commit violent home invasions and robberies.
• Japanese gangs recruit hapless and naive youth for yami-baito ("black market part-time jobs") to steal valuables like Rolex watches.

Imagine thinking that Japan, where the Aum Shinrikyo cult made at least two mass attacks using the nerve gas sarin, has no murders.

• Four teenaged boys, Hiroshi Miyano, Nobuharu Minato, Yasushi Watanabe and Jō Ogura, kidnapped 17-year old Junk Furuta, held her in captivity for 40 days during which time they raped and tortured her, starved her, and eventually murdered her.
• Japan executes the mass murder Tomohiro Kato.
• Satarō Fukiage is thought to have raped and murdered perhaps as many as 96 girls and women.
• Ryuichi Iwasaki randomly stabbed twenty people, including children, at a bus stop, killing two of them.
• 36 people were killed, and another 34 people injured, when Shinji Aoba walked into the Kyoto Animation studios and set the building on fire.
• Kazuhiro Ogawa set a cinema on fire, killing sixteen people.
• Yusuke Tsushima stabbed ten people on a train and then tried to set it on fire. Two months later, in a copy-cat attack, Kyota Hattori sprayed pesticide in the face of a man on a train, then set the train on fire, and attacked other passengers with hydrochloric acid and a knife. Then eight days later, an unnamed man attempted yet another copy-cat attack on another train, fortunately nobody was injured in the last attack.
• Morio Tanimoto is suspected of deliberately setting fire to a psychiatric clinic in Osaka, where he and 26 other people died. Those Japanese sure love arson.
• Masanori Aoki went on a shooting and stabbing rampage in 2023.
• In 2016, Satoshi Uematsu went on a stabbing rampage at a care facility for disabled people, murdering 19 people and injuring 26 others.
• Mamoru Takuma murdered eight children, and injured fifteen others (13 children and two teachers), in a rampage in an elementary school.
• Miyoko and Masanori Sumida are thought to have murdered at least eight people during a twenty-five year long spree of murder, assault and kidnappings.
• Chizuko Okamoto was convicted of murdering her daughter, and is suspected to have killed at least four other people.
• Tatsuya Ichihashi raped and suffocated to death British woman Lindsay Hawker.
• Joji Obara is a serial rapist who video taped his rapes and is suspected of drugging and raping as many as 400 women. He was jailed for life for the rape and manslaughter of Australian woman Carita Ridgway, the murder of British woman Lucie Blackman, and at least eight other rapes.
• Futoshi Matsunaga and his accomplice Junko Ogata killed at least seven people, possibly nine. They tortured their victims and forced them to kill each other.
• Yasuaki Uwabe deliberately drove his car into a crowd, killing two people and injuring five others. He then stabbed pedestrians at random, killing three and injuring four others.
• Masumi Hayashi was convicted of murdering two people, and injuring 63 others, by poisoning a communal pot of curry with arsenic. After the conviction, her daughter committed murder-suicide with her own daughter, with a second child being blugeoned to death by an unknown party.
• Serial killer Kazuhisa Yoneda is known to have murdered and engaged in necrophilia with at least two women.

By the way, Japanese police and culture prize fast convictions and high conviction rates, with the wrongful-conviction rate (innocent people jailed for crimes they did not commit), with possibly as many as 1500 false convictions every year, which would be higher than even the USA.
