You can look at genetic cluster maps and see for example that people indigenous to the European continent share a genetic lineage. Sure, some races cluster closer together than others. Asians and Europeans are almost on top of one-another while Africans have a significant genetic distance from both groups.

In any case, Europeans of different ethnicities share similar cultures, similar languages, similar frameworks for viewing the world, they created structures with similar architectural principles before globalization, they look similar, far more similar to one-another than to any Asian or African group. Europeans are spiritually similar as well, we all share the Faustian spirit.

A standard ancestry test is pretty good at telling a person's race. They isolate the location that your ancestors came from, down to the specific village in some cases. It was only a few decades ago that mass migration began. Prior to that, most nations on Earth were ethnically homogenous. It's not hard to guess that someone is black based on their ancestry test identifying them as Nigerian, even if these tests would never state a person's race to ensure that the Frankfurt School social theory commissars don't come after them.

In the annals of bizarre crime stories, even Cormac McCarthy couldn't come up with one this bizarre. Some sort of sexy version (?) of "guess where I put my gun, honey" turned ugly when 48-year-old Jennifer McCarthy of New Mexico (no, not that Jenny McCarthy) pulled a firearm out of her vagina (where else?) and pointed it at her boyfriend's head after a dispute over aliens (what else?) got a little too heated.

Naturally, that was just a prelude to pulling the gun out, pointing it at her boyfriend, and asking the presumably rhetorical question "Who is crazy, you or me?"

Anonymous boyfriend took the gun away and dropped it in the toilet. McCarthy then took it back, so he just threw it in the trash. Does any of this still make sense to you. If all of that wasn't enough to get this story off the police blotter (and The Smoking Gun) and into the inboxes of office workers everywhere, there's one more little trivia tidbit to add. McCarthy is the most recent ex-wife of celebrated author Cormac McCarthy, who has presumably never written a book where a character uses a vagina for a "holster." McCarthy was charged with aggravated assault on a household member, and was released on Sunday on a $5,000 bail.

Cars drove with leaded fuel back then. Tens of thousands of people were traumatized by murdering people in Vietnam.

There's certainly a correlation with media exposure and behavior.

If supporting the same flat rate to mail something across the street in downtown TO and across the country to some remote cabin in the NWT is the problem, maybe they should deal with that instead. This is like healthcare - we debase the institution to maintain the illusion that we can provide perfectly equal service to every person.
