That province is right next to mine, so here's some context. The province in question, New Brunswick, is almost solely owned by one family - the Irvings. The Irving companies own oil refineries, shipbuilding interests, and an enormous business in lumber and pulp & paper manufacturing. New Brunswick is mostly trees, so Irving holds either direct or indirect rights to harvest most of the land. They own all of the newspapers and other media in the province.
