No. He can't. He didn't live it. He may have lived as a gnc man, but not a gnc woman. He'd rather think he knows more than he really does.

Trans men do it too. I mean I guess we all do it, often just not on matters that impact others quite so much.

They dont understand and they dont understand that they don't understand.

That's typical, real, dunning-kruger. Not internet meme "haha ur dum" dunning-kruger. I feel like this in specific is an example of why it's bad.

If only people would stop assuming being a gnc man gives you insight into being a gnc woman. Or that being TQ gives you insight into being LGB.

It depends. Honestly the course of HRT that you'd get from most doctors is probably worse for you.

The standard practice is to provide a transitioning individual many many times the amount of estrogen a woman would ever normal have and at a constant rate. Not on a cycle. If nothing else it outright causes things like deep depression and extreme emotional volatility.

By just taking birth control most of the diy types are probably safer specifically because they're doing it wrong.

I've heard of trans women using various other pharmaceuticals toward the same end though and that may or may not be safe. Well it's probably not safe.

As a point of empathy it's good to remember that actual established medical best practice will outright drive many of them mad even if they were sane before. Its quite a lot more than you'd get even from taking birth control.

Like passive agressive and a self entitled refusal to communicate unhealthy. Gender roles are a hell of an addiction I guess.

But no really, it wasn't grünkohle but the last few salads I've eaten contained the only steak I've had in about a year. This joke hits different in the light of that.

Now I'm going to associate a salad packing some meat with something else... You did this, it's your fault.

Why are they so focused on pure penetration? Would a man even believe the diaphragm excuse?

At a guess? Because they're taught a man is something specific and when they look at themselves they don't reflect what they were taught they should be.

The trans ideology like to shut down conversation about it, but you can absolutely acquire gender dysphoria like that. ESPECIALLY when the training breaks them down and builds them back up with new values.

The same way you can be homophobic even if you're homosexual. The same way people can have to grapple with being gay and that's OK.

I honestly don't have a problem with trans in sports if they're given a proper handicap and are on a proper cycling regimen of hormones for enough years for their muscle metabolism to change.

Trans was man? Do they have way more reach? Is this a sport where that's an advantage? Handicap.

Are their muscles still metabolizing carbohydrates the way a man's does even years later? Don't put them against a woman. Put them against other trans or something.

Woman wants to box a man? You need to either win decisively from the very start or not get hit until he tires himself out and often also deal with greater reach. Thats legitimately, profoundly, difficult.

Build your divisions and scoring system based on relative advantages. There's already things like weight classes for that very reason and no one complains about that.

But no that's too reasonable.

In my experience they were almost always, though not invariably, absolutely toxic narcissistic silver tongued pricks who were even worse than men who selectively cannot hear "I'm gay, not interested".

Of all the "masculine" traits to pick up, that shit was not any one of them in my mind. Like "masculine"=/=laughing about how easy it is for you to treat women like a slab of fresh meat and otherwise being a prick.

I mean she looks happy enough to me. She transitioned fairly well too. Being a trans man who likes women at least makes more sense to me in this case compared to other bitch lesbian ~> trans man changes.

Not really so happy about them muddying the waters about sex vs gender identity though and a lot of it seems to be perpetuating pretty rigid essentialist gender roles.

No that sounds about right. Its probably also ideology, but one born from and fueld by ignorance. Let them try what they say they will try and then report back about how much they would want to do it again.

You don't have to be a virgin to be ignorant, you can also simply have not tried a hulking lumberjack who identifies as a woman and fool yourself into thinking, in theory, you'd be ok with that.

Seems like jealousy or at least insecurity. I also don't see, from what you said here, how what she told you and what she wrote in the book are necessarily mutually exclusive.

At least I've never had such a one sided romance that I could only say one or the other.

What you've said here sounds, if not jealous, territorial but insecure. Seems pretty normal for a relationship that's gone beyond "no strings attached". So it's probably just outside of your basis of experience if you aren't given to close steady relationships. That alone can make someone insecure.

I mean we live in heteronormative societies. There are women who never even know to consider other women as an option despite being lesbian. Women who beat the emotions down or wave them away as something else.

Its exactly the same thing as not being able to understand how people can join a cult or believe what a cult tells them. Except there is little room to escape when it's society itself.

They do what they're taught to do and wonder why it isn't great like everyone else makes it out to be. Then some of them discover other women and it just clicks.

You probably should go to therapy. Its no good being that insecure about it, but it's also no good for someone to bring it up a bunch without confirming if that makes their partner insecure.

Neither of those things are particularly healthy or acceptable. She should probably go to therapy too.

It may be hard, but you really shouldn't be comparing yourself to a 60 year old man. Its definitely strange, but this is why she's bi and you're not.

In addition just because she's bi doesn't mean she's equally attracted to women and men. I think it's easy to overlook this when you're only attracted to one sex.

I wouldnt group bi women together, you should be asking them how into women they are in the first place. In my experience most bi women are more into men than women, into both equally is a minority but not uncommon, and into women more is about as rare as actually being a lesbian.

There's a lot of potential to get burned if you go into something like that without knowing what you're doing. Its not like they're callous they just aren't what many women seem to expect.

In this case though, from what you say, she's got a lot of red flags by way of attention seeking. The 60 year old man thing feels to me like she wants to be a trophy girlfriend for the attention. It also doesn't seem like she's considered how a lesbian woman might feel.

Honestly it's not easy to learn those warning signs without ample experience... Which is hard to get when it's already so hard to find other lesbians in the first place.

Also as for the 60 year old man thing, I've known plenty of lesbian couples with 20 to 30 year age differences. Again some women are legitimately into that. I'd probably be ok with 10 to 15 without any second thoughts. What you think about it isn't what others think about it.

I've read a few. The co-morbidity in the papers I've read as well as the more anecdotal reporting from GID specialists is more around 20% or 30% with extra co-morbidity with autism spectrum disorders.

Can't remember the exact papers though and the premier GID specialist who worked to codify the disorder is now cancelled and fired from his job for having a "therapy first, transition if it persists into early adulthood" standpoint.
