    You can't make gingerbread men! You need to make gingerbread non-binaries! Also, how dare you label the gingerbread man's gender?! It could be a gingerbread (trans-)woman after all!

    On a side note, why is the infamous genderbread man a man? Why are they using such a transphobic name to try to "explain" their gender nonsense?

    I understand that your post is tongue in cheek, but honest reply:

    Man used to be neutral. Woman used to be female, Werman used to be male. At some point in Wer- was dropped and males got the neutral form, but until fairly recently it was still used in the neutral sense too.

    Edit: eg Weralt (age of men/age of heroes) ~> werald/weorold ~> World. Or Weralt ~> Welt/werlt (if you're German.)
