25% of American youth want someone to pay attention to their blue hair and their weird clothes. Yawn... I hung around with goths in the 80s and 90s. These "non-binary" kids do not impress me.

Well... I suppose that's what happens when you conflate sexuality with gender identity. Really seems full circle back to rigid gender roles. Which is something that is darkly humours in it's irony for me.
