Reminds me of the study where the researchers asked 111 random lesbians in Tranada if they'd date a trans person

79 lesbians said no (71.2%)

10 "lesbians" said yes, if it's a trans woman (9%)

and 22 lesbians said yes, if it's a trans man (19.8%)

Random lesbian here. In college (over a decade ago, so long before the current discourse) a friend asked me if I'd rather date a trans woman or a trans man. Without even thinking about it I instinctively said "trans man" without skipping a beat.

Lmao but they included trans men in their rant because "trans men are men". How does the cognitive dissonance not get to these women?! I'm sure a handful of them have been attracted to "trans men" and not been attracted to "trans women", yet they can't seem to acknowledge why that is 😭🙄

According to them, they could be attracted to a hulking lumberjack with a beard and an 8 inch cock if he suddenly identified as a woman.

While at the same time, they would experience absolutely NO attraction (Ughh... gross! Are you kidding me!) to their female crush if she announced she was now a man.

It's as if they've never actually felt sexual attraction towards someone before and it is all just theoretical to them... or more likely they're just lying because ideology and staying in the good graces of the group is more important than honesty.

No that sounds about right. Its probably also ideology, but one born from and fueld by ignorance. Let them try what they say they will try and then report back about how much they would want to do it again.

You don't have to be a virgin to be ignorant, you can also simply have not tried a hulking lumberjack who identifies as a woman and fool yourself into thinking, in theory, you'd be ok with that.

Rocks have more self awareness than these people.

The queer folk need to have a zoom meeting to come to a consensus... because on the butchlesbians subreddit, there are "trans" and "nonbinary" (AFAB) butches who identify as lesbians but not as women.

Don't you know? Only men can be women. Everybody can be a lesbian tho.

I... You know what, I have no words for this amount of stupid lol

She describes herself as a “masculine-aligned non-binary”, sooooo ... a woman who desperately wants to be a man but still be able to date women?🤷🏻‍♀️

It's interesting to me that so many trans-identified people are moving away from 'man' and 'woman' and towards these vague qualifiers. It seems less like a woman who wants to be a man than a woman who isn't committed to transitioning at all but wants the social cred.

I assure you, I've seen planty lesbians say they're "still attracted to "Elliot" Page" or Change their label to "bi" after their gf came out as trans. They can't seem to grasp a concept of what SEXuality is.

[–]Rage-Xion 9 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 0 fun10 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Well, as a gay man, I still think that Elliot Page was far prettier before surgery than after.

I lost all the attraction to her, mainly because I just don't like masculinity, let alone this level of madness. She was such a crush to me, pretty short brunette girl, such perfection. Sigh!

As a bi male I feel the same way. Beautiful woman and now....she looks so sad. It hurts to see recent pictures.

I mean she looks happy enough to me. She transitioned fairly well too. Being a trans man who likes women at least makes more sense to me in this case compared to other bitch lesbian ~> trans man changes.

Not really so happy about them muddying the waters about sex vs gender identity though and a lot of it seems to be perpetuating pretty rigid essentialist gender roles.

I love dick I really do and because of this I am no lesbian. However now it seems I can just be one because I say so!

Trans men are traitors and I would not be with one. Back in my day we called them tops, butch or just sir lmao. I knew many cool lesbians. They "stole" girlfriends, "turning" a few in the process. They wore cologne, short hair, boxers. Damn some of them looked good and I would have given that a try. Know why? Because clothes and attitude don't make up your sex, your genitals do. These women were not confused or trying to put one over on us. They were more comfortable in men's clothes and the confidence (from most) was sexy.

I honestly do not miss that what so ever. Playboy butch Lesbians make me want to light myself on fire and throw myself out of a first storey window.

In my experience they were almost always, though not invariably, absolutely toxic narcissistic silver tongued pricks who were even worse than men who selectively cannot hear "I'm gay, not interested".

Of all the "masculine" traits to pick up, that shit was not any one of them in my mind. Like "masculine"=/=laughing about how easy it is for you to treat women like a slab of fresh meat and otherwise being a prick.

Although I will admit more women should wear Ralph Lauren green bottle.

Yeah, I struggle to understand how can you be attracted to someone like that. A woman behaving like the most vulgar alpha male, quite repulsing. But yet, she's bisexual...

[–]GreykittymommaMagical lady 💜 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I ran into those pricks too but at least they still knew they were women lol

| "trans men are men like cis men are men", if anyone is still confused about that (and they won't google it either), then they are likely a transphobe,

no

Edit: If you sort by controversial this is at the end of the top comment.

We're so close, but she snubs it when she bent her spine into a pretzel to cater to the TRA crew.
