They're discussing Russian misinformation campaigns that mislead voters so that they would vote for Trump. That's the illegitimacy they're discussing. Cambridge Analytica and other companies, funded by wealthy doners and PACS spread sophisticated misinformation that discouraged voting and lied about democrats and their policies. This is very different from what Trump's team tried to do, which was to claim that the voting was seriously rigged in the states where he lost. The illegitimacy discussed in those videos are NOT claiming that Russians rigged the voting machines. There are always voting irregularities, for many reasons. Twitter users should try to understand the difference between those 2016 concerns about the misinformation campaigns, which were widely investigated and well known, and what Trump's lawyers tried to prove about voting numbers in states where he lost. Indeed, Trump has spread misinformation and disinformation daily since 2016. He was never presidential in any of his activities. He was illegitimate in his campaign and his role as president, though no one doubts that he was elected.

In rural areas the cost of living is much lower, where salaries of 35k/year are the bare minimum. The wealthiest people tend to live in cities, but are a tiny minority. All three - urban, suburban, and rural areas - have been struggling under GOP-controlled governments since 1984. He makes an excellent point about the hypocrisy of the right wing assholes who've helped cause school shootings that are almost unique to the US - all because of brainwashing voters to think they need immediate access to assault weapons for absolutely everyone - and yet they cry like babies about drag queens who are offering readings, as if that's destroying society. Meanwhile, numerous children have lifetime PTSD because of the NRA and right wing, not to mention the many innocents who've died. I've seen that ISPs in some countries, like the US, Norway, &c do not block some of the P2P websites and trackers, whereas VPN is necessary for P2P in many other countries. Some VPN users also fail to appropriately set up VPN, so that their own IPs can be seen behind the VPN IP. Perhaps the majority use VPN properly, and some use seed boxes, but who knows.

Perhaps you're arguing that Jon Stewart made a false comparison. I think the longer video provides more information on the discussion about gun ownership, which he responds to in the shorter clip. Nonetheless, it seems his main point is that the person he's talking to, and the far right, have made so many complaints about the destruction of a part of society if drag queens read books to children, whereas those same complainers support the NRA's attempts to deregulate every aspect of all gun sales (one of the ways in which school shootings have happened in the US in such great numbers, but not in other countries). So Jon's point is that anyone supporting the NRA's deregulation of assault weapon ownership is definitly not interested in the safety of kids, not in the slightest. It's hypocrisy.
