did you know that you can make the most bomb homemade wine with nothing more than fruit and white sugar and water?

i used handpicked blackberries when i tried making it, but they assure me that you can make wine with applesauce..

anyways, put the berries into a container... fill the container about 80% full with fruit... fill it with water slightly above the fruit.. now over the course of about four weeks, steadily put a dose of white sugar on top of the fruit..

i learned this when i was homeless in california, a meth dealer from thailand named nancy taught me..

a hillbilly in the camp explained to me that the bacteria from the fruit eats the sugar and the bacteria shits out wine.

as long as you see bubbles on top, that means that the bacteria is eating sugar and shitting wine.

dont put too much sugar at one time..

it makes some really delicious wine.

there was a female living with me, and she contributed most of it.. she had a rather serious problem with schizophrenia.. it was taxing to be with her, but she was one of the most kind and sweet people that i have ever known. she contributed to getting the boat and then had a schizo breakdown and flew the coop..

she literally hears voices that tell her things.. she got an incoming message from none other than "george bush" telling her that someone's life was in danger and she wanted to go and check the hospitals and to call 911. i persuaded her that we better leave that alone.

she also gets messages from another female that was a cheerleader from back in her high school days.. the cheerleader tells her that i have had threesomes with the cheerleader and the cheerleader's husband.. i tried to explain to her that i dont know anyone from her high school days, and so she called me a liar.

i just wrote to her and told her that she is welcome to come back.

i told her that she is welcome to live on the boat for the remainder of her life.

life is weird.

i am an amateur sailor, i know very little about sailing.. i remember when i had another sailboat back in the early 90's... i just took off out into the bay from kemah texas at about 10pm at night.. i had not a single clue about what i was doing.. i had no idea where i was going.. nope.. so there i was out in the bay headed for the shipping lanes where i have seen large ships passing by before.. i kept hearing a faint noise.. ahooogahh.. ahooogah... oh shit, i thought, there is a freighter coming straight at me... i cut over to the left and there was a very tall wall of steel cutting thru the water.. it was only about 25 feet away from me. that ship almost smashed into me..

if i go sailing from now on, it will not be solo and it will be in the daytime.

b) i probably will never take the icw trip, but it is fun to think about.. i will probably stay right where i am at, and just live aboard it.

c) are you suggesting that i am running from some kind of legal problems? that sure aint the case, i am a very honest man and i have no problem walking into a police station and presenting my identification and speaking with officers.. in fact, there are cops that know who i am and they know my previous criminal history from about thirty years ago. i make zero effort to conceal this fact.

in a nutshell, this website(saidit.net) has absolutely no resale value.

maybe this is why they keep mass posting crap videos and comments, they think they are bumping up the value of this site with the hopes that they can sell it?

maybe this is why all of the major players at this site have multiple sock puppet usernames, so it looks like there is a userbase?

one thing that guarantees that saidit has NO VALUE is that there isnt any real userbase here and the little there is only looks like dogs that chase their tails, lol.

It's not worth that much. I've seen that before too because I wanted to valuate some of my sites but also wanted to sanity check it with other sites I'm on. On every kind of site that does that sort of thing Saidit is always absurdly high while sites like Poal are only a little high too be believable. Maybe it's just total number of links. But for a site with about 60 real active users it's hobbieware, just like everything I own, which means it really is worth ~$100. There's nothing wrong with that. It becomes more reasonable to consider that something you put a lot of time into isn't a wild success when you consider that people are enjoying what you made and that's why it was made.

But sites like these aren't really worth anything.

I have never seen anything like this in a $60 video games. I think it's worth discussing where exactly in-game monetization is heading. I see predatory monetization particularly a problem in sports games like NBA and FIFA. I would say games like NBA and FIFA are marketed to "none typical core gamer" audience. And compared to other genres they do seem to be trying to pull off more, acting as sort of a test-bed before these elements are introduced over to the more core games audience. We saw this with Star Wars Battlefront 2 and it didn't turn out so well.

These I think games are often used to play-test what these companies want to do so this NBA ad is deeply concerning.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj2flC2cEak

this is the ad that plays in NBA 2K19 during loading screens. The idea is that since the user spends close to a minute looking at a loading screen why not use the loading screens as ad space? Regardless of how fast you load the ad is unskippable. What if you're using an SSD on PC? NVMe or whatever is the fastest. It doesn't matter cz the ad remains on your screen. Serving such ads in mobile games is somewhat acceptable because the game is practically free to play. But now we are reaching a point where full priced $60 games could end up using unskippable ads.

The ad in question is for a FOX series called "Snowfall" which is a crime drama. It is ironic that the first thing we hear in the ad is "don't be greedy."

Are lines between freemium and paid no longer exist? How far can the publisher push the boundary? This is extremely disappointing.

I'm making this Post because I think a lot of people are pretty tired of the policy regarding Bots and RNG Manipulation of Second Dinner, the current situation of the Game is pretty worrying.

What makes it even worst, is that most Players are unaware of this, not for their fault, but because the Game itself aim to hide this as best as it can.

[Probably, if this Post gain any traction, they will instantly change how that works, making it impossible to see if it was really a Bot or not... Probably by removing Deck Names/Booster assigned in the GameState.json file (You will understand after reading how the method works).

So if you want to check, now it's the time. But even if they promptly change it... Once you know it, you know it... Once you lose your trust (If there was any), you lose your trust.]

METHOD TO CHECK IF YOU PLAYED AGAINST A BOT LATER IN THE POST.

This Post will speak in detail about that, but in short (TL;DR): Both the Ladder AND Conquest Mode is FULL of LSTM Bots (Yes, even Conquest when they said that there would not be Bots). And I'm NOT speaking about the Dumb Bots, that freely gives you Cubes, I'm speaking about the LSTM Bot, the ones who "Cheat". They can cheat by seeing your Hand/Deck and play after seeing your play. They can manipulate the RNG in their favor. (Example: Choosing a favourable Card when is "Randomly" Generated or choose the next card to draw from their Deck/Jubilee/Iron Lad).

(If you want to learn more about Bots and LSTM Bot in particular: https://marvelsnapzone.com/bots-in-marvel-snap-a-comprehensive-guide/)

(Also, if you are interest there is a list of the Names of Bots (Which has been used to test this method at the start)... The list it's obviusly NOT 100% complete since it's always expanding (New Bots are always created or their name changed), but it's a huge archive of a lot of Bots: https://marvelsnapzone.com/bots/)

These kind of Bots (LSTM, which stand for Long Short-Term Memory... It's just the name that https://marvelsnapzone.com/ gave to this type of Bot) try to force you to lose to make you waste Cubes/lower your Win-Rate in Ladder (Or at least they TRY REALLY HARD, you can sometimes still win) and/or drag a Conquest Game longer to make you spend more time in the Game/or and in case you are somehow able to win, make you feel the win "earned"/"not easy".

Everything is probably based on the Algorithm (Match-Making/Bots), that decide if you need to lose or win based on your Deck/MMR/Win-Rate. This type of Match-Making is called Engagement Based Match-Making.

Now we have a method to see which Game had a Bot in it.

But before explaining that Method, I will list some of the things we could relay on to spot a Bot before finding about GameState.json:

Same Emotes Patterns at the Start or the End of the Game.
Snap Timing.
Insane RNG back to back (Now it's even easier to see since we have access to Conquest Mode, which allow us to have multiple Games against them).
Name and Avatar.
Facing the same Deck or a Counter as soon as you Choose/Switch a Deck (This behaviour as been reported multiple time, there are no concrete proof, so even if a lot of time it seems pretty clear... I will call it only a SPECULATION)
Unfavorable Locations for your Deck back to back (This is just a SPECULATION and it's probably not completely related to the Bots, but it's SEEMS that the Deck you are Playing COULD influence which Location you will face depending if the Algorithm want you to lose or win... Again, this is just a SPECULATION)
Predicts that have literally zero sense (There are a lot of examples, but the most common one for LSTM Bots is: They Play a high cost card on Death Domain in the same turn that you played a Location Change Card)

Now, let's talk about the method which is 100% guaranteed to know if you played against a Bot (At least when this Post was being made, if something changed they probably already "fixed" it):

If you are playing from PC (Steam), the Game will create a file named "GameState.json" in this Directory: "C:\Users\YOURCOMPUTERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Second Dinner\SNAP\Standalone\States\nvprod", you can open this file with your Block Notes Software. (You can search for that also on Android Phones)

Inside this file, when you close the Game, is recorded your Match for that Gameplay Session... In that, you can find, which Deck you used, which Deck your opponent used, your Name, the opponent Name, your Cards, your opponent Cards, your Avatar/Card Back, your opponent Avatar/Card Back, Boosters & Ecc.

There is a catch, all the Decks also have registered in the File, the name of the Deck the Player choosed and some other entries related to it. So if I name my Deck "Sera Control Red Green Blue" and my opponent name his "Thanos Was Not That Tall", I can read it in this file.

Bots do not have any Names on their Decks (And lack some other entries)... obviously as you know, it's not possible to not name your Deck... But even if it was possible, Bots datas literally lacks lines of codes in that file that are related to the name/data of the Deck (When you face a Real Person you will find his/yours Deck names).

[For anyone who can't find the deck names, here is the line you can search:

"$type": "Cube.Common.Deck, SecondDinner.Cube.Common",

If you play against Bots, searching this line will not find your opponent's Deck]

There are probably other differences from a Real Player and a Bot in the GameState.json file that can help to differentiate the two (For example number of boosters assigned to a card, which Bot would have none), but this was the fastest one that I normally used.

(Again, this method is also mentioned on Marvel Snap Zone, this is the Source: https://marvelsnapzone.com/bots-in-marvel-snap-a-comprehensive-guide/)

I was curious, so a few weeks ago I checked for 7 days how many Bots I faced on every session... In total, I faced 78% of Bots in Ladder (Infinite) and 41% of Bots in Conquest Mode.

So if the next time, you see something absurd multiple times in a Game, if your opponent draw his perfect curve/combo continously (Conquest Mode), if you keep losing back to back against insane RNG pulls on Ladder... Close the Game and check the File, you will probably see that you were playing against a Bot (Obviuosly Real Players can be lucky, so check it by yourself for being sure).

When that happen, is possible that the Game itself and his Algorithm (Match-Making/Bots) want you to lose... Possible reasons?

1) Your MMR/Win-Rate is too high, and they don't want you to keep winning.

2) You are a F2P Player and they want to make you spend to money to gain more Cards (Maybe if I have THAT card, I can win, right?)

3) You are playing a High Perfoming Meta-Deck and they want to discourage you to play that Deck, so they make you lose multiple times in the hope you change Deck.

These are the reasons I find more probable... Obviusly I can't say it for sure, but thinking about it, it seems plausible.

Nobody will know for sure, but that's it's how normally an Engagement Based Match-Making works... but at least now, people can notice that a lot of things are being RNG Manipulated by the Game and that a lot of the time you are playing a "PvP"-Game against a Computer and you are not even facing a Real Player.

So yeah...

The Game is full of Bots.

And not the Free-Cubes ones, which unfortunately seems to be the only ones known by the vast majority of Players (Indeed, when people speak about Bots on Reddit/Discord/Twitch/YouTube they only speak about the Dumb-ones and mostly ignore the existence of the LSTM).

The Game sometimes probably (?) base the Locations on your Deck depending if they want you to win or lose (This is not certain, but it could seems that way... AGAIN-> THIS IS A MERE SPECULATION).

The Game probably make you face certain Decks more often when you play a determinate Deck. (Well, that one was known for some times: "Oh, I got Thanos, let's play it!" -> "Why as soon I used a Thanos Deck, I faced 5 Thanos back to back, when I nornally saw 1 in an entire week?" A Situation that happened to pretty much everybody)

Will Players have any confirmation aside the ones we can find ourself (Like the GameState.json file)? Probably Not. But most importantly, will things change? Probably not.

It's just sad to see such a good and engaging Game that should promote interaction and competition between Real Players, going down a road where a lot of things are decided by an algorithm (Match-Making/Bots).

Poll: Only 22% of likely voters confident Biden is innocent of corruption allegations by [deleted] in news

[–]armaged 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Okay so hear me out. I am not a Republican/conservative at all. I voted for Biden in 2020 and I'm prepared to do so again in 2024, though I will agree that we might be better off with someone who's younger (not so young that they hardly have any experience, but someone who isn't likely to have age-related health challenges). My reasons for disliking Trump actually have less to do with his political views and more because I just don't think he's a good person (if he were a Democrat but was exactly the same personality-wise, and still did a lot of the shit that he's done, I wouldn't vote for him).

Now having said this, I've read that Biden broke the record for most votes cast for a US presidential candidate, and his speech at being declared the winner was quite powerful IMO and didn't give off "sleepy Joe" vibes like he often does. He seemed very alert and with it. HOWEVER, since that time, I have yet to hear anyting positive about Biden. Normally, when we have a president, their supporters sing their praises while their opponents can't wait to get them out of office. But that's not the vibe I get from Biden. I have yet to hear anything positive about him, even from liberals.

So that's why part of me feels like maybe the results of the election were tampered with somehow, to give Biden more votes despite not being very popular amongst a lot of people. But it most likely was simply a case of "anybody but Trump", so that's probably why he got so many votes. People saw him as the less of two evils.

And I don't dislike Biden. But I do understand why he doesn't seem to have people raving about him like past presidents. I know there were a lot of people who voted for Obama who were disappointed in various things he did (or didn't do). Nonetheless, he remained quite popular amongst his supporters. But I don't see that with Biden. I've heard very few people talk about how they like how he's running the country; the only thing positive they seem to say is "Well, at least he isn't Donald Trump!" but that's the extent of it really. The right-wingers hate him for obvious reasons, but I've hardly heard anything positive about him during his presidency (at least so far; he still has a year left and anything could change that would make more people like him as opposed to being "meh" about him.

On behalf of Equifax , I want to express my sincere and total apology to every consumer affected by our recent data breach. People across the country and around the world, including our friends and family members, put their trust in our company. We didn’t live up to expectations.

We were hacked. That’s the simple fact. But we compounded the problem with insufficient support for consumers. Our website did not function as it should have, and our call center couldn’t manage the volume of calls we received. Answers to key consumer questions were too often delayed, incomplete or both. We know it’s our job to earn back your trust.

We will act quickly and forcefully to correct our mistakes, while simultaneously developing a new approach to protecting consumer data. In the near term, our responsibility is to provide timely, reassuring support to every affected consumer. Our longer-term plan is to give consumers the power to protect and control access to their personal credit data.

I was appointed Equifax’s interim chief executive officer on Tuesday. I won’t pretend to have figured out all the answers in two days. But I have been listening carefully to consumers and critics. I have heard the frustration and fear. I know we have to do a better job of helping you.

Although we have made mistakes, we have successfully managed a tremendous volume of calls and clicks. And we’re getting better each day. But it’s not enough. I’ve told our team we have to do whatever it takes to upgrade the website and improve the call centers.

We have started work on our website, and I see significant signs of progress. I won’t accept anything less than a superior process for consumers. We will make this site right or we will build another one from scratch. You have my word.

The same goes for the call centers. There is no excuse for delayed calls or agents who can’t answer key questions. We will add agents and expand training until calls are answered promptly and knowledgeably. I will personally review a daily report on their operations.

We will also extend the services we are offering consumers. We have heard your concern that the window to sign up for free credit freezes with Equifax is too brief, so we are extending the deadline to the end of January. Likewise, we are extending the sign-up period for TrustedID Premier, the complimentary package we are offering all U.S. consumers, through the end of January.

We hope these immediate actions will go a long way toward addressing the concerns we are hearing from consumers. We know they won’t solve the larger problem. We have to see this breach as a turning point—not just for Equifax, but for everyone interested in protecting personal data. Consumers need the power to control access to personal data.

Critics will say we are late to the party. But we have been studying and developing a potential solution for some time, as have others. Now it is time to act.

So here is our commitment: By Jan. 31, Equifax will offer a new service allowing all consumers the option of controlling access to their personal credit data. The service we are developing will let consumers easily lock and unlock access to their Equifax credit files. You will be able to do this at will. It will be reliable, safe and simple. Most significantly, the service will be offered free, for life.

With the extension of the complimentary TrustedID package and free credit freezes into the new year, combined with the introduction of this new service by the end of January, we will be able to offer consumers both short- and long-term support for their personal data security.

There is no magic cure for data breaches. As we all know, every organization is at risk. When consumers have access to our new service, however, the cybercrime business will become a lot more difficult, and we are committed to doing what we can to help millions of consumers rest easier.

Mr. Rego Barros is interim CEO of Equifax.
