I've heard of these types of stories. A friend was telling me about one of his former friends who drove to and broke into his workplace, jogged 6 miles back home and broke into his neighbors where he took a robe, and then went back home to bed. He woke in the morning and couldn't find his car, so his wife took him to work while she filed a police report. The police were waiting at his workplace to arrest him. The main thing that saved him was security camera footage half-way home that showed him standing still on the sidewalk for 15 minutes, with people walking past trying to talk to him unresponsive.

Thank you so much for the info. I've been thinking about getting the family away for a week and a camping/hotel combo in your area would be nice. That way, I'd get the isolation from technology for a few days and the sightseeing for a few days. I think the train should be a separate trip on its own. What foods is the area known for? I was joking about buying any houses, although I am thinking of buying some land in the region close to a State or National Park after I get my finances in order. Nothing much: around 20 acres unless I run across a great deal. I have a business associate who lies in GA near the NC/SC lines and he is keeping an eye open, but everything in that area is so expensive right now.

I was talking with a friend the other day, who is a medical doctor, and I asked him about Ivermectin. He said that they know there are studies which it seems to help but they don't know if it's causation or correlation. I have read that somehow it acts as a protease inhibitor and keeps the virus from replicating, and my friend said that it doesn't make sense to him that an anti-parasitic drug would fight viral infection, but he is open minded to see what the research turns up. He also told me that the chloroquine that was promoted last year is actually linked to a larger mortality rate than non-consumption. His experience is that there are 3 main factors for getting really sick from this virus. The first and biggest risk being obesity. The second and third being diabetes and something else I can't remember.

Yeah. We have to assume that everything said within 50 feet of a smart device's microphone is being recorded into a massive data database somewhere, either for marketing directly to the individual or for future access in case we end up on someone's radar.

I heard of a case a few years ago where the FBI or the like was tracking a suspected terrorist. He kept pretty much off the radar, using alternate ways to communicate with cohorts. They were able to use his utility bills/usage to determine where he was and with whom, or the other way around. If his power and water consumption went down but his friend's went up, they could assume he was staying with them. Likewise, if his utility usage went up, they would look to see which of his friend's were down. They can even tell how many people are visiting you and for how long. My assumption is that if you're on their list, it's pretty damn hard to stay off the radar.

They didn't share any social media or hang out together outside of work, but they both had Facebook running on their phones. By the end of the meeting, my friend had an advertisement pop up on Facebook for the resort in the Dominican Republic her customer was getting married at. Facebook knew they were pending time together by GPS and decided that they may share common interests or vacation spots or whatever. That's how they also know who to suggest as a "friend".

It is true. Older homes have much denser wood and anyone who has to drill or cut on it knows how much harder it is. Also, both of those pieces of wood in the photo have been recently cut. The bottom piece has aged, as evident from its darker color. I have seen sap oozing out of woodwork that is 50 years old. Both of those pieces in the photo are fairly new, since the older studs are true 2x4's and not the 1.5" x 3.5" like today. The difference in ring size in newer lumber can be due to what part of the tree that piece came from. Those machines size up the tree at the mill and know what size pieces you can get from it before the saw does it's thing.

I guess we should clarify that we are talking about a human life.

I think all of this comes down to the when we think that an embryo or infant or adult is a human life. No bad people in this debate.

Honest question here. Would you say that an embryo is 3/5 of a person? I don't know the answer, but I think the heart of this debate is where each person thinks life begins. I used to be totally pro-choice until I became a father. Now, I don't understand how anyone who is a parent can be pro-choice. I agree that a 2 month old embryo is not the same as a 2 month old baby, but it's still life, in my opinion, and I'm non-religious so that doesn't factor into my beliefs.

Have you ever listened to the Phil Hendrie Show? I haven't in a long time, but I would laugh and laugh. Ok, maybe just chuckle a little, but it was a really funny satire, semi-fake call in show. Phil did the voice parts of his "guests". I remember one where Phil was "interviewing" a grocery store manager who weighed customers to catch them eating food while shopping and charging them by the increase in weight from enter to exit. People would think it was a real interview and call in to voice their disgust in what was being talked about and Phil would ham it up to get them even more worked up. I think he said that he made an old lady throw up to prove she hadn't eaten grapes while in the store. I'm not sure if he still does that format. You had mentioned something about doing a late night radio show. I think you could pull off some sort of internet radio show. Maybe a live-stream on one of those YouTube or Twitch sites. All coastal fishing on the East Coast of the U.S. is better this year. Probably the best that it's been in 20 to 30 years. The biggest part of the problem is commercial over-fishing.

I think you are correct that sometimes we focus on the problems we want to solve so much that these problems consume much of our thinking. Problem solving is part of the human condition, but if we spend too much time worrying about the problems we can't directly change, we miss out on the problems that we can directly solve. The age of information is both a blessing and a curse in this way.

This spokesman for the Taliban is doing what any spin doctor is paid to do. He is paid with power and control by his own admission, even if he is lying about not being paid with money. His job is to talk about the "poor Taliban being bullied by the West" while pretending that the Taliban doesn't kill and enslave people who don't follow THEIR orders.

The Taliban "won" not because they cared more, but because they waited out the failure of any other group to come together to form a solid government or coalition. One can say that there was not an agreement on why America was over there so long or what America should have done while they were there, but to say that the Americans over there didn't give a shit is wrong.

The Taliban changed the culture as they took over Afghanistan in the 1990's. They destroyed anything that didn't fit their culture, including ancient artifacts.

That bot is designed to build dissent within the American populace. It is from a foreign actor; either directly or farmed out. They don't care about the message, as long as it increases political or social tension.

I don't think Republicans and Democrats hate each other. I think people look badly upon the political parties that most oppose their beliefs. It's become easy for the media to group people this way to sensationalize the news. When you are out in public, do you really think about politics while interacting with other people?

Yes. This plan has been in the making since at least last year, if not earlier. I would even say that the U.S. has been working with the Taliban group that was released from Guantanamo for Qatar during the Obama administration. The U.S. knew that the Afghan government they helped install would fail. The Taliban represents a controlling group in Afghanistan to keep ISIS from taking over and I think the U.S. military will continue to help them clandestinely.

Sugar "addiction" is an evolutionary trait. When mankind was hunter-gatherers, sugar was harder to come by. Our bodies react to sugar in a way to make us binge on it when we find it. Our bodies then store it as fat. That fat is burned when we go through periods of fasting, like when early humans went days or weeks without finding much food. It has also been suggested that some bacteria in our intestines release chemicals that cause sugar cravings.

To me, that's not vote fraud, as the voters made the decision. It is subverting the system, in a way, though. How much different is it than hopium?

I think the system is working. It is the system that has been manipulated to work in favor of the grifters. I have changed my mind over the years on things like term limits and making stronger laws against conflict-of-interest money. If people, who care, want to make a difference, they will the spend the majority of any election effort into the local scene. I think the U.S. government is like a pyramid. The bottom layers support or enable the top.

Frank Artiles paid for a Alex Rodriguez, who ran as an independent, to run a "sham" candidacy for office to take votes away from the Democrat incumbent Jose Rodriguez. Republican Ileana Garcia, who won by 32 votes, claims to not be in on the plan.

I have seen this exact thing play out in local elections, but was not successful. I have seen it happen with both Democrats and Republicans.
