There are lots of them. I got another one just like him a few years later. Mercifully he did his brag meeting Tuesday afternoons. I started having doctor and dentist appointments on Tuesday afternoons. After the second time he made a rule we couldn't take off early on Tuesdays. So then I started taking off every other Tuesday on vacation. Then I took to eating fart foods Monday night and Tuesdays at lunch. Then I would fart silently in his brag meetings. I tried everything to piss him off.

Well, there are no insufferable people online, because you can always just... close the browser and do something.

In real life, it's pretty much always gonna be someone from work, because work is the one place you don't get to choose your own people. If one of my friends were insufferable, I could simply say: get out of my house.
