I don't think of that character as evil. He respects her resolve because that's what drives him. It's like (spoiler) at the end of the movie when he tracks down the wife/girlfriend even though the husband/boyfriend is long gone and it shouldn't matter. Bardem's character lived by order and if he had let her go, he would have failed.

Yes I learned how to do it entirely though youtube. I did Pex B, the crimping style. Pex A style tubing, the expansion type, uses a special tool that costs $150. The crimping type uses a $15 tool. The pex to pex connections are extremely simple. Then the copper to pex connector was threaded, so you just screw it in with teflon tape on the threads. Then the CPVC to pex connection was also a threaded screw joint. So once I figured all this out and knew what I was doing, it wasn't too difficult. But it definitely took 10-20 hours of self training via various youtube to figure out how to do it properly. But I basically know how to do plumbing now. And I replaced my kitchen sink faucet, and also installed a reverse osmosis system myself. So I know how to do both the mains and the fixtures. It's a nice feeling, tbh

That's true, it could be 4 hours of training using 10% of their AWS server farm, lol. Which could be 100 years of normal desktop computer time.

I think general AI is getting close, the big problem seems to be that it can't compartmentalize different areas of knowledge. So it can master 1 thing, but then to master another they have to start from scratch again. If it could like learn from chess, and then apply the things it has learned to checkers, and maintain good strategies for both while being able to switch between them appropriately, then we're cooking. Then it can learn 1000s of skills masterfully, and then only use each when appropriate. That's really approaching general AI, I think we're probably 10 years away from basic general AI that can task-switch easily

These AIs just work by training on lots of data.

You can make a simple chess algorithm that works by just searching for your position in a massive database of grandmaster games, and picking the move the grandmaster made.

Google's algorithm might perform a little better because it would do some interpolation if the position is not in the database, but this is essentially what it is.

But they're also telling us that the vaccines do not stop the spread and at best only diminishes symptoms -- and how they conclude that is iffy at best. They used to mock the idea of nutritional approaches to reduce symptoms of the common cold, but some how a vax that supposedly does that is worth it. We were told to be afraid of asymptomatic spreaders, but that sounds like what they want everyone to be now.

But, how would they know if someone has less symptoms? Everyone reacts to colds and flues differently, depending on many factors. The only way to confirm their assertion is to clone someone, give one the vax and the other a placebo and then let them become "cases" and see how it goes. They could make a statistical inference across a large population, but that takes far more time than this experiment has been running so they simply can not know any of the things they claim to know. It's almost like there's some other agenda they are pushing.

We can not hope for prepandemic life, that is the past. We have to work for a future where we can just laugh at these authoritarians and live our lives freely. Make Bakunin proud!

So all of the osteoarchaeological evidence of the intermixing of traditinoally foreign individuals in urban centers is all wrong? Is this because the textbooks we use for this study were published in the 19th century? Yes, intermixing was not as common in rural areas as it had been in urban areas, but recent scholarhip has shown that there was much more mobility than previously thought, across every continent. Everyone's relatively mixed, the further back we look at their histories.

I see your point, but my reference is to cosmopolitan gatherings. In periods when urban centers mixed with other people - travellers, slaves, nomadic groups, invaders, &c - they transformed and developed. These are the cosmopolitan gatherings to which I refer. Even if we look as far back as possible to modern humans, we see interbreeding as part of their practices: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interbreeding_between_archaic_and_modern_humans Studies have shown that mixed ethnicity people are often smarter and more attractive (eg. many in the US are mixed, even if we consider German/Irish people, who wouldn't inter-marry before WWI, but married thereafter because of the loss of men in the war. Perhaps this goes back to the Civil War). This mixing has happened worldwide.

People didn't move around as much in the past, they didn't have the option to.

In the past urban centres were created from the people who lived in the countryside around them, which was the extent of their multiculturalism. The counties around London are even called the "Home Counties" for this reason.

It's more complicaated than this. Historically, every cosmopolitan gathering has been multicultural (by definition). "Social cohesion" is more likely in larger cosmopolitan areas than it is in smaller groups. What destroys social cohesion are insular groups that wish to prohibit mixed marriages (eg. white supremacists, orthodox and conservative Jews, orthodox Islam, conservative Hindus, traditionalist Japanese, traditionalist Chinese, etc. etc.

If they did anything this racist against a group other than whites they would have suffered far worse. If I ever see someone destroying a coke machine or burning down a coke truck I will give them a pat on the back.

A while ago there were around 20 people on the far side, holding flashlights and moving pretty close to the cone. Their lights were visible to the edges of both sides.

I poked lava with a stick in Hawaii one time, and it was the (figuratively) coolest thing ever. If you ever have the chance to get up close, take it!

$86 million in free gibs to 1,200 foreign criminals... How insane is this all going to get?

The plan appears to be working. That was my comment on the border invasion post, where Xiden is showering them with money. In democrat world, only criminals get rewarded.

Coke is a NWO corp.

Their employees were/are "essential workers".

The same essential worker nonsense likely applies to their distribution supply chain.

Interesting that farm labor and meat packing labor was deemed "non-essential".

These actual essential workers were inundated with propaganda and coco testing.

Just because you ask a leftist-libtard a direct question, does not guarantee you will ever get an actual answer....in fact, most likely the exact opposite response is certain. Same with politicians, who are pretty much guaranteed to never answer the question asked, and always to 'answer' those questions never asked....with non-answers. I'm sure it was a mealy-mouthed politician that invented the maxim 'if you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, blind them with bullshit'!

I would claim for all human history. As technology improves human abilities improve. Then so to does the ability to scam. If that improves faster than the human ability to deter scams, then you can going to see record scams.

Humanity can build the tallest buildings, the fastest rocket cars, the biggest ports, the fastest communication that has ever been seen in 200,000 years. Why not scams?

I thought the guy came off bad, and I suspect you believe the opposite.

Although I don't like when woke assholes go around saying we're all racist, and her saying what she does encourages that behavior, but in a basic psychological sense we do all have implicit biases.

And I suspect the guy knew that too but was purposely being obtuse, nitpicking her words like an angry redditor.
