Yeah, genitals are totally arbitrary and have nothing to do with sex at all. Just completely random.

I have no problem with being transphobic if this is what it means to be transphobic.

The word transphobic has been used for such trivially bullshit stuff that it's essentially been stripped of all meaning, ironically the same thing they seek to do to the words "women" and "female".

People are attracted to people, not body parts

Body parts are parts of people. I don't know if it's more qt sophistry or just severe mental illness but so many TRAs seem to see human beings as chop shops rather than indivisible wholes. It's not and never has been just a "genital preference"; most people are attracted to ALL of the primary and secondary sex characteristics of a particular sex, none of which can be convincingly mimicked.

This guy is hilarious though. People like him are the reason Titania McGrath is so believable.

Poe's Law is a terrifying and real thing. Some people are so batshit crazy it really is hard to distinguish from parody and someone genuinely insane.

Yes, genitals have nothing to do with sex or serve any function whatsoever. The whole notion of sexual dimorphism is bunk, but gender feelings is where the good shit is at!

Human beings reproduce by validanting each others gender on Twitter.

Everytime you call a trans person their preferred pronouns, a baby is born to an infertile couple. T*rfs want infertile couples to literally die!!!

If this was true, you wouldn't need to keep reminding everyone.

Also, as is so often the case, the person making the completely outlandish 'logical' argument about how human sexuality should be has 'autistic' in his bio, explaining everything.

It's hard to believe any of us were able to make it through life before people with "autism" got onto the internet to show us.

Just popping in to say there's a high likelihood that they're self-diagnosers and very likely just socially awkward people (but it's not pervasive enough to impact daily life) or someone looking for oppression points.

[–]chandra 13 insightful - 1 fun13 insightful - 0 fun14 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Yes, I'm too quick to jump to the conclusion that someone who argues against 'genital preferences' is suffering from some sort of social disorder that prevents them from understanding the complexity of human sexuality, when it's equally possible that, being trans, they're simply deeply personally invested in the belief that genitals and sex are completely unrelated.

[–]lovelyspearmintLesbeing a lesbian 10 insightful - 1 fun10 insightful - 0 fun11 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Exactly. I'm not saying autistic people can't convince themselves they're trans (they're often GNC like myself because they don't have a feel for gender expectations/norms or don't understand why X can't do Y, and therefore are told they're trans by peers, online communities, parents and doctors), but it's more likely that most trans aren't also autistic as many claim to be.

Eyes, smile, hips and butt are my favorite physical features on a woman.

A quirky nose is insanely attractive to me! It's all the parts that make up the whole woman that gets me going, because being attracted to sexual partners is normal and natural.

Does it incluse small hand and breasts too? :( LMAO

Oh, I get why you'd say sad. But to me they are more... wise, or gentle, or something. Lol I don't know

And yeah... I cannot lie... I like big breasts 😂

If by droopy you mean the ones with very visible eyelids, they're very gentle and sweet. I like it too. I was talking about the type of eyes when the extremities kind point downward.

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Kinda droopy eyes

Do you mean what's known as "hooded eyes", maybe? The ones with an extra fold of skin covering the crease in the eyelid? Which often kinda droops? This is part of what gives English actress Charlotte Rampling her distinctive look:

I always thought that Rampling had especially lovely eyes (and the rest of her is pretty great, too :) ).

I'm attracted to bigger noses too. They give character- But depends on the rest. Big nose with weak chin and thin lips just aren't my thing. And apparently I find muscled shoulders attractive. Those deltoids. As long as the figure is slim. Too big is masculine.

[–]DropItLikeItsHot 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, while there's very real problems with how society addresses mental illness, that doesn't mean the solution is to hand the reins and make everyone with mental illnesses our policymakers. There's also a huge issue of self-diagnoses believing their fantasies matter more than the evaluation of trained medical professionals.

Lmao, so simple but that's so true! Wouldn't be any argument if everyone were bisexual, it would just be a universally accepted simple fact.

No, actually I really would argue that in 99 cases out of a 100, genital preferences are just thinly veiled transphobia.

And actually, I really would argue that in 100 cases out of 100, transgenderism is just BALD-FACED sexual orientation-phobia.

Exhibit A:

Genitals are just an arbitrary sex characteristic that has nothing to do with the gender one is attracted to.

How'd he get so much stupid into less than 20 words???

Okay, to begin with: things like enlarged breasts (women) and beards (men) are secondary sex characteristics. So what are genitals? PRIMARY sex characteristics. Just how the fuck can a primary sex characteristic be arbitrary?

Next up: genitals (along with all other sex characteristics) DO have something to do with gender-- well, everything, actually, since one's observed biological sex is what determines one's gender. That's how gender WORKS. What, this dipshit thinks that all those female fetuses in India and China are being aborted based on their assertion that they "identify" as girls? No, people OBSERVE that they're girls, whereupon the female gender-role applies deeming them inferior (to males), and thus disposable.

But wait, there's more! Dumbass here just scored an own goal: yes, genitals have nothing to do with the gender one is attracted to, in the sense that WHAT ONE IS ATTRACTED TO ISN'T GENDER. It's biological sex. Which genitals are ALL ABOUT. So: genitals have EVERYTHING to do with what one is attracted to. Gender is just an add-on, at best. Basically, it might figure in at the level of what your "type" of man, and/or woman, is like ("masculine" or "feminine" according to gender-role rules)... but their sex comes first.

That's what sexual orientation-- ALL of them-- is: attraction to biological sex. Men, women, or men AND women. Which the crap this dude is peddling condemns. Meaning that it's sexual orientation-phobic. And, therefore, anti-heterosexual (heterophobic), anti-bisexual (biphobic), and anti-homosexual (homophobic).

Bonus round: what do you want to bet that ol' "Emerald-Rose" here doesn't practice what he preaches? Think that HE doesn't give a shit what genitals a potential sex partner has? Or puts his money (and junk) where his mouth is by being strictly trans4trans? PRESS X TO DOUBT

Whatever happened to "all trauma is legitimate"?

And why is same-sex attraction being relegated to "you must be this way because you have trauma" all over again?

Homophobes.

A-fuckin'-men to that! And further, why don't trans people ever need to get over THEIR "genital preferences"? Even pleading trauma shouldn't excuse "transbians" from servicing (other men's) dick! Since that's now obligatory for ALL lesbians, according to them.

And, come to think of it, why is "muh dysphoria" justification for anything? Shouldn't trans people be held responsible for "mediating and negotiating" THAT, instead of making it everyone else's problem? The rest of us shouldn't even have to be AWARE of it.
