Sex and dating choices are inherently discriminatory. My sexual and dating choices are none of anyone else's business, but they can't stand that and want to make my choices their business. The fact is that I don't owe anyone validation or sexual access to my body. If I don't want to date someone who's made up like a circus clown, I don't have to. Maybe I don't want to date someone who has to be the center of attention in every room.

I've been saying for years that identity politics should be provisional and should be discarded once it accomplishes its reasonable civil rights goals. When you become permanently invested in it, it becomes a road that leads to endless and ever-more fine-grained obsession with grievance along with ever-more overbearing demands on everyone around you. It leads away from the path to becoming a mature adult with healthy boundaries.

Also, it's funny that all those "unique" individuals are dressed up in very conventional fetish gear.

Sadly, so many gay men have been demoralised, which is why they support he's horrid movements out of fear, or they stay silent. Gay men could collaborate with right wing political movements that oppose the woke insanity, but some of these movements are against homosexuality and are not going to help us, some of these movements would help us but they oppose gay marriage, and the rest of them, well, there's not enough of them. Besides, why should we have to rely solely on the right to stop the madness? There are left wing people who are against the madness as well. We need to get people across the political spectrum on our side. But until there are more left wing people who are vocal and brave enough to speak out, countless gay men are going to be silent and demoralised.

Definitely. Nah, I'm fine with not collaborating with right wing political movements. Both sides of straight-led politics are fine with throwing gays and lesbians under the bus, only remembering we exist when we can be useful. I trust neither, but somehow I trust the right wing even less.

Frankly I dunno the solution, because people who should be listening to this aren't here. I think a good practice is to save these materials. Articles like this are data about the current situation. This data can be useful when we need to show the situation to others, because others will often act like we are making up stuff.

It is really sad indeed. At least in my country it feels like the status quo for the gay community is for gays to mock and demonize other gay men, while they bend over for other groups. Frankly I think some gay guys should get therapy first of all, because instead of dealing with their sense of self hate and internalized homophobia in a healthy way they project it towards other gay men and affect the whole community negatively.
