Just two observations:

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a non-racist piece of fiction that was quite progressive for its day. We didn't start panicking over the non-racist use of the word "nigger," claiming that the word itself was inherently racist irrespective of context, until perhaps fifteen years ago.
It seems abundantly clear to me that John Freshwater was fired for preaching religious beliefs to his classes, not for "having a Holy Bible on his desk." Fox wants to keep telling you he had a Bible on his desk, but nothing in the article connects that fact to his dismissal.

I wish I believed the West had any actual power left, because if they don't they might need some help. All of the "weapons were designed to beat the Russians" doesn't really seem that impressive anymore. The Chinese claim they can track F-22s. Now, whether this is true, I don't know, but stealth aircraft can obviously be defeated using satellite technology. The F-22 is fairly old already, but I surely hope the Americans have some wonder weapons left, because if they don't, Europe might be fucked.

Europe doesn't even increase shell production 50 fold in a year. What are they? Stupid? Suicidal? If you have decades of "peace" and robots have existed for 50 years, how the fuck do you mess up military production?

It's like our "leaders" (see Merkel and Schröder (Gazprom payroll)) got a Russian paycheck to weaken Europe.

Can the US even win a major war with just their planes? Won't the air frames wear out too fast? AFAIK, the military can't produce more plans themselves, but they need cooperation from companies like Lockheed Martin. What if they say "No"? Or, what if they say "Well, perhaps for a trillion dollars we will remember how to build another"? I don't know how it works in Russia, but I doubt Putin needs to beg to get some shells produced. He can just march in and shoot whoever is running it in the head and appoint a new one (probably not a good idea, but you get the point).

A no fly zone would have been the best option and it should have been done before Crimea was invaded.

I fully expect Taiwan to fall if China really wants to have it. I don't know whether it will be nuked by the US if that happens, though. All US military planners talking about defending Taiwan don't have a clue, IMO.

Russia and China have learned from history, and they both have a long civilization-scoped history. They're looking at the long term and do not act rashly and irrationally like pissed off toddlers.

In contrast, the US has no ancient history (Europeans committed multiple genocides to erase pre-existing ancient civilizations in order to israel their 'new world') and the short history it has is entirely based in wars of aggression, corruption and acting like pissed off toddlers.

That's all there is to it. Russia and China are, unlike Israel, defending themselves against an outside aggressor (the US), and are doing so in a way that's informed by their long history.

Dick Tarlow died in 2022 at age 81 with an estate worth at least $20 million, according to court records.

Tarlow is most famous for his work with cosmetic and fashion clients, including Revlon, Ralph Lauren and Neutrogena, according to an obituary by AdAge. He was also a loyal supporter of John Jay College and the John Jay Justice Awards, Long Island outlet Dan's Papers reported.

James Carlson is heir to the family fortune and owns a 2,893-square-foot, three-story brownstone with four wood-burning fireplaces and a carriage house purchased in Park Slope in 2019 for $2.3 million, property records and online listings show.

Carlson has a lengthy arrest record dating back to 2005, with charges including burglary, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, conspiracy and criminal trespassing, the Post reported.

Footage released by NYPD showed officers in riot gear using flash-bang devices and climbing ladders to infiltrate Hamilton Hall and clear the encampment late Tuesday.

Carlson was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, arson and criminal possession of stolen property in connection with the April 20 assault on a man holding an Israeli flag, the NYPD said Wednesday.

Three suspects approached the victim and took the flag, the NYPD said. The suspect who took the flag ran into a crowd and the victim was hit in the face with a rock thrown by a second suspect as he tried following them, police said.

A third suspect grabbed the flag and set it on fire, police said. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. Carlson is alleged to have participated in the assault.

The other two suspects are being sought.

Carlson's 2005 arrest is related to a violent "West Coast Anti-Capitalist Mobilization and March Against the G8" protest in San Francisco, where protesters injured a police officer, fracturing his skull, and smashed several store windows, the New York Post reported.

The same media that celebrated families taking in Ukrainian refugees has willingly conspired in the smearing of those whose only crime is that they wish to stop the slaughter of 15,000-plus Palestinian children in Gaza.

There is apparently nothing heroic about opposing Israel’s genocide, even if opposing Russia’s invasion is still treated as a badge of honour.

The media give politicians a free pass to vilify as an antisemite anyone outraged that UK weapons are being used to help kill, maim and orphan many, many tens of thousands of Palestinian children. That accusation assumes that every Jew supports this slaughter, and erases all those Jews standing alongside us today at this protest.
