"We could be friends, if you be reasonable and do everything that we want you to do" by theachan in GenderCynical

[–]Susiesmum 18 insightful - 3 fun18 insightful - 2 fun19 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

Instead of taking our spaces, they could be rallying to have their own spaces. Instead of fighting and arguing about their biological reality, they could say "I know I'm a male/female, but I prefer to be to called she/he." Instead of trying to silence us online, they could chill the fuck out and let us talk. Instead of insisting that children should be given drugs to stop puberty, they could acknowledge the risks and work to make it illegal to medically transition unless someone is 18 or older. Instead of trying to take over our sports teams, they could ban together and create their own sports teams. Instead of invading everything and expecting everyone to change and play along with their worldview they could accept that not everyone believes the things they do, and that's okay.

The trans community refuses to be rational. Instead they scream, cry, want to take over our spaces, claim our opinions are literally killing them, some say they want US dead, some use guilt trips if you don't want a relationship with them, and they try to shut down everyone with an opinion and only adhere to certain rhetoric like we live in a communist society.

We could be their allies, but they refuse to meet us halfway or cooperate at all. We're all about breaking sexist stereotypes and standing up for marginalized people. It's sad they behave this way.

Do you have some criticism of this post? Many of us WERE supportive of trans rights until we realised that the majority of transwomen these days are crossdressing perverts who have nothing in common with transsexuals.

It cost us nothing to not misgender people

It costs us the right to tell the truth. Knowing what sex someone is, yet being expected to lie about it is abusive.

It invalidates our message and our ideas, if we do this we really seem the hateful extremists the TRAs like to paint us.

Bullshit. TRAs will hate us whatever we say or do, simply because we know what they are and are not afraid to say so.

Your post is a perfect demonstration of the point that the OP of this thread made.

Police in Edmonton, Canada, have released a male sex offender, named Laverne Waskahat, notifying the public that they pose a safety risk. Under current Canadian law, Waskahat will be allowed to use women’s facilities.

“Waskahat has a history of possessing, making and publishing child pornography involving male and female infants under 3 years of age. Waskahat is a risk to children when caring for them (i.e. while babysitting) and has also been known to take voyeuristic photos of infants in public. The EPS believes Waskahat may try to associate with someone who has young kids in order to groom them for offending behavior. Waskahat has also been known to frequent female public bathrooms (e.g. in shopping malls) in order to carry out voyeuristic offending behavior.”

You have no idea what women's lives are like, do you?

Imagine if you had a hormone condition when you went through puberty.

Transgenderism is a mental disorder, not a hormonal disorder. If a girl with anorexia wanted to starve herself to death because she thought she was too fat, would you give her diet pills?

Transgendered boys are male, so they belong on the boys team. Girls who imagine that they are boys can play on the boys team too, and they should certainly not be allowed to compete with the other girls if they are taking testosterone.

You want a compromise? I want to protect girls and women from abuse and injustice. I won't compromise on that.

[–]Susiesmum 14 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Puberty is traumatic for everyone. Allowing teenagers to mutilate their bodies when they are too young to get a tattoo is monstrous. I don't care about your feelings. Transgendered boys can play on the boys team, transgendered girls can play on the boys team too.

You seem to have no idea what is actually happening around you. You don't want compromise, you want total obedience.

The majority of trans people I know in real life freely admit their biological sex, freely distinguish between themselves and natal males/females, and don't feel harmed by discussion of biology or sexed bodies. They generally also acknowledge their are non-transphobic reasons to be concerned about trans women competing in women's sports or being in women's prisons.

Are you talking about Trans Identified Females? I've found that they tend to be a lot more realistic than Trans Identified Males, possibly because they're not transitioning because of a fetish.
