So then... why do bottom surgery at all? Doesn't bottom surgery completely undermine this entire message?

Expecting logical consistency in a piece that uses terms like "cisheteropatriarchy" unironically? You might be looking for a while...

The majority don't, hence this message.

No I get that, but the fact that anyone does at all seems to spit in the face of what this is saying.

That's exactly it. Shouldn't TRAs be condemning bottom surgery as "transphobic"? Shouldn't they be trying to convince the trans people who do get bottom surgery that it's just "internalized transphobia" and that their penis is already female/their vulva is already male?

If bodies aren't inherently gendered, then there's no reason to pursue any sort of medical transition, neither bottom surgery nor HRT. It's a major logical consistency that I've rarely seen challenged much less reconciled. It's an example of the broader logical inconsistency of "gender is made up/oppressive/a social construct and should be eradicated" and also "it's very important for people to alter their bodies to coincide with their gender."

Only on the internet can you find idiots who think anyone in the real world won't laugh you out of the room if you say "but a vagina can be male!" or vice versa.

Sometimes I wonder if the problem with the internet is that people can't hear how absurd some things are if you'd say them out loud.

I miss the Internet that didn't have every idiot in the world typing on it.

Well... Caster Semenya is a male with a vagina

But 99.999% of the time, yes.

[–]SweetBabyCheeses 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Having internal testes and a micro penis doesn’t miraculously give him a functioning vagina instead.

[–]GConly 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Actually he should have a vagina of sorts.

Anatomy basic here: we all start off with a vagina like area. When a fetus gets exposed to DHT it makes it seal up and turn into a penis. That's why penises have that line on the underside running down the balls like a seam. It's where it sealed up.

Semenya doesn't make DHT, so he's almost certainly got a vagina. It's probably not connected to anything, and it may be short or narrow, but he'll have one.

It's quite normal for CAIS males to have one.

His balls will be floating around in there somewhere...

He doesn't produce dht, a

That’s no more a vagina than saying men have breasts because they also still have pointless nipples. Foetuses also look like tadpoles for a while but we’re not supposing that we’re actually misshapen adult frogs are we.

The yellow lady is not much better. If you fuck a man, you're not a lesbian. If you fuck a man who lost his dick to cancer, you're not a lesbian. If you fuck a man who lost his dick to an IED, you're not a lesbian. If you fuck a man who cut off his dick for shits and giggles, you're not a lesbian.

[–]winterwillow 20 insightful - 4 fun20 insightful - 3 fun21 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

That whole account is a queer libfem nightmare. Everything is slogans, catch phrases and ~aestethic~ destroy/fuck/abolish patricarchy/racism/gender, love yourself, buy cute stuff, nonbinary sexworkers, intersectional everything, it's ok to have armpit hair (as long as your young and hot).

And it's of course always funny how when they're reposting tantalizing pictures of female intimacy, it's exactly that, females. Almost like this sjw social media manager still knows their target audience isn't those poor trans lesbians after all.

[–]EzukiRaen 20 insightful - 2 fun20 insightful - 1 fun21 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

If we're not supposed to "gender genitals" then what is a lesbian? What exactly are the parameters for being a lesbian? Even further, what are the parameters for any sexual orientation?

Let's say for instance there are two men in a relationship and they are both "gender fluid". Some days they would call themselves men and other days they would call themselves women. On the "men days" it's "he/him" and on the "women days" it's "she/her". Now let's suppose that there are a few days where they both call themselves women. Are we supposed to call them lesbians on these days? What if one is on a "woman day" and the other is on a "man day" are we supposed to call them straight on these days? What are the rules??

Gender identity politics is so confusing. Sometimes I wish I was never exposed to any of this stuff.

No, feminists have been fighting so that women are not defined by their genitals. I don’t think I’d seen any feminists until five years ago say women can’t be determined by (taking into account) their genitals... what a dumbass

[–]chandra 16 insightful - 2 fun16 insightful - 1 fun17 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I always wonder why it's just genitals that are a gender-neutral body feature in transland. Why not the rest of the body? Why not 'some men have breasts and if you won't get with that then your chest preferences are transphobic.' Or 'some women have full beards, deal with it.' I don't see any difference between this and bashing genital preferences in principle.

Rather than an objective and consistent theory of gender, bodies, and sexual attraction, it sorta looks like the body part preferences that are labelled transphobic happen to be the ones that most trans people can't/won't alter, as though it's actually just about demanding people meet them half way.

I always wonder why it's just genitals that are a gender-neutral body feature in transland

Because genitals ARE gendered and they hate this fact. So they pretend it's not true. Like most things in the trans ideology it's all about denying reality.

TRAs do care about secondary sexual characteristics, they just keep it in their safe spaces. Seriously, the degree to which they'll chop up, reduce and micro-analyze every single part of their bodies for "passing" is just plain disturbing....... But if you're not In, genitals are all that matters.

[–]Rosefield 14 insightful - 4 fun14 insightful - 3 fun15 insightful - 4 fun -  (0 children)

~sigh~ More insanity from the gender cult. Trans lunatics are fighting against human biology itself and are failing hard. 😂

"Stop this! Don't do that! That's transphooooobic!"

LMAO I don't give a shit. They can seethe and screech forever.

I'm not gendering genitals because I don't even believe in gender, it's a load of shit. Only biological sex matters.

It was "don't say (wo)men's health because that is a jendur and any ggkender can have any body parts."

Now it's "don't say (fe)male, that's a jendur too."

When they've successfully convinced a newsletter or a website to call themselves The Center for Vaginal-Uteral-Ovarian-Pregnancy and Estrogenized Breast Health there will still be a reason to whine and cry about it. "Sex and gender are different" is just bullshit lip service.

can I sex genitals? I don't want to gender anything, bc I don't care about gender to start with. I just want to forget about gender. All that I'm concerned about is that we have words to distinguish the two sexes, and that when necessary we can separate or refer to members of different sexes. But they can be whatever "gender" they want in the sense of what they wear and how they do their hair.

That has ALWAYS been my stance. I have always supported drag queens and Prince and David Bowie and tomboys and flannel shirts and every kind of GNC style that is personally or culturally a thing, yes, great, go for it. But it does not make you the opposite SEX. That's all. So stop using our words (calling yourself a woman or a man or she or he) or changing your birth certificate or taking scholarships or joining sports teams...

We're not gendering anyone. You are.

Precisely. I will not deny physical reality in the name of kindness or anything else. I do not care one way or the other what kind of gender feelings anyone has or whether they match their sex or not. That information is irrelevant to the material reality I inhabit and that can affect myself and others. There are a multitude of facts about this world I find deeply unpleasant, often to the point of despair or anger should I ruminate about them. It is not a kindness for someone to deny these realities in an attempt to ease my mental anguish, as denial of reality accomplishes little but delaying efforts to deal with that which we cannot change.

To refuse to lie about the immutability of sex no more necessitates a callous action than to refuse to lie about the health consequences of obesity necessitates calling random fat people "fatty." Should we also pretend that being obese is as comfortable and healthy as being within a healthy weight range so that we do not make people struggling with their weight feel bad?

[–]refusetoliein a time of universal deceit 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Why do they think lesbians would enjoy or even be okay with sex with a physically male person as long as they don't use their penis? When I'm having sex, I don't want a penis in the same room. It's a complete turn-off, akin to the idea of having sex in front of your parents, even if I don't have to look at it. Knowing it is there is sufficient.

Of course the answer is that what we enjoy is irrelevant if our desires fail to serve the ideology.

"not all trans women will ever even get bottom surgery" I fail to see how is that MY (a lesbian) problem? "being lesbian is far beyond sex and genitalia" ummmm no it isn't actually, that's why it's called a same-sex attraction? Maybe because it involves, I don't know, sex? Maybe it's because it is a sexuality? Who knows! "maybe you lesbians can have sex without touching the penis" hum, also no.

[–]PenseePansyBio-Sex or Bust 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Can't stop what I never started in the first place!

Genitals are sexed, by their very nature: they're the baseline of maleness or femaleness... biological reproductive categories.

They are not, and have never been, "gendered"; no penis nor vulva ever played with trucks vs dolls, wore or eschewed wearing makeup, or opted for either liberal arts or STEM.

So glad that we found a point of agreement, genderists :)
