I hope the backlash comes but it looks like we still have a long way to go. I'm a lesbian and you could say that I was mildly supportive of the T in the lgb community. I wasn't very well informed about what was really going on inside the so called community and was one of the "let them use the bathrooms they want, it doesn't cost anything" kind of people. So, one day I decided to check out reddit and subbed in r/AL (that happened roughly one month before the gc/lgbdropthet etc bans started). Over time I started to notice that people on r/AL, who supposedly is a lesbian sub, almost daily worshipped dicks, trans women and posts about "girlpenis" and how lesbians loooove dicks. So one day I replied to a post there where a lesbian said that she was weirded out by those many "dick worshippers" on a lesbian sub and how she, as a lesbian, didn't like dicks at all. She was bombarded with comments of "alienating lesbians with dicks" (mind you, men), "transphobic person who needed to think twice before posing lesbianism as a distaste for males and dicks" and other not so polite things. My reply was essentially defending her and stating that no, lesbians don't have dicks, and they don't like dicks, we like women, you know, those mithological beings with vaginas. To which someone else answered my comment by stating, and I quote, huh? What kind of lesbians don't like dick? Weird... LOL. Less than 30min later, the ban came for me. After that I started searching other subs and found r/GC and r/lgbdropthet. So, that is the story of how I got banned from r/AL
