Along with the dandelion, we in the eastern U.S. have polkberry plants (they are very common here as they are spread wide by the birds) and polk salad was popular among the poor, rural population a century ago. It had to be twice boiled (maybe more) to be safe, though.

Nah, just normal runny-honey.

I just added the pineapple in because it was what I was told to do tbh, I just needed an easy-to-make smoothie to get my calories in for the day and it does the job. The recipe was listed as a "meal replacement" one but you most likely know more about the stuff than I do, I mean I drink it with my lunch so I'm technically having two meals in one sitting I suppose.

Close, ace inhibitor.

Epsom salt is just what I have handy, and it's cheap. One of these days I'll get a better form of magnesium but I'll have to order it, all the stores here have is magnesium oxide supplements.

Also, an amazing protein brand is isopure low carb. It has a really nice list of added vitamins, minerals and aminos and actually has a hefty chunk of protein at 25g/scoop vs a lot of other brands typically seen in bigger stores. Look at IgennusPure & Essential Advanced Vitamins & Minerals for a good multi. It's b-vitamins are methylated.

They make potassium supplements in amounts too low to be harmful if taken at recommended dosage on the bottle. Funny enough, low sodium spicy V8 has a pretty hefty chunk in there for potassium. I assume you're on some kind of potassium sparing diuretic? Remember magnesium glycinate and magnesium oil. Magnesium glycinate is better absorbed than it's citrate version, and won't give you the turboshits. The "oil" is just used topically, and you don't have to deal with full body stiff/sticky sensations that you do with epsom baths. Also, making sure salt you get has natural mineral content and iodine in it is a good idea for healthy thyroid support.

One of the most noticeable things this will be deficient on is magnesium. I take as needed (magnesium sulfate, epsom salt), you'll feel when you need magnesium, your muscles get sore and crampy.

Potassium is low too, but with my meds I can't take potassium willy nilly. That's one, like iron, you should get tested for first before supplementing. It's also dangerous in high amounts.

Regular salt you need too, but generally that's satisfied by the diet.

I know this isn't a tricky project, but it's classy.

In fact, I was already planning to do this... to my mobile garden. I'm currently building my 3rd maquette (mini model) to work out how I'm going to construct the 2 "wagon farms" that I can move around my yard without killing my grass, getting sunburned or out from the shade. Basically it's like a short 4'x8' plywood table on large castor wheels with foot high edges to hold the pots and/or dirt. I'll be posting more in /s/microgrowery as I build these and my basement winter garden.

Because my 2 large garden wagons might meet objections from neighbours or whatever, I am determined to add some class to my plywood and 2x4 project. I was already intending to "frame" the foot-high sides of my mobile gardens, inspired by the final room in 2001 A Space Odyssey - except I intend to use more interesting colours AND I'll make some more custom acanthus stencils for ornamentation in quick fashion (good from far even if far from good). I love bold acanthus designs, like this heart I designed that someone emailed me after she had someone modify it into a skeleton key for her back tattoo. I've made many other stencils, but there's never too many.

Having YouTube recommend this to me out of the blue is like the Universe conspiring in my favour.

Android, yes, no. Would I need a server? I honestly don't know a thing about those type of things, I was honestly just assuming that there'd be some sort of program or app that would atleast make it so it boots directly to a gallery of saved qoutes or something. Ideally it'd be connected to some sort of website. Any directions you could lead me in so I have an idea of where to start?

Need help with an idea; fixing a tablet to my bedroom ceiling. by Jesus-Christ in DIY

Sounds fun. iOS? Android? Are you willing to disable the lock screen password? Is another PC or server running 24/7 to push shit to the tablet when the time is right?

I've seen similar things done with arduino or raspberry pi with a screen.

I've been watching this guy's weekly developments for about a half year, though I've caught some intermittent developments since his initial viral video (linked below). I didn't want to spam SaidIt with non-critical non-political stuff, but now his marble machine is really coming together.

Wintergatan - Marble Machine (music instrument using 2000 marbles) (4:33) ~ Wintergatan, 2016-03-01

Curiously at the time, and with the sound was expertly sewn together, I wasn't aware that his original plywood version was not precise enough to complete a whole song successfully so the video (linked) is edited together from a collection of several attempts (as obviously the camera changes position, yet other cameras are not in shot, thus it's not cut from one take).

Eventually with a reliable machine he intends to do a world tour.

Worth also checking out are his band's earlier live performances with much simpler encoded machines.

That's for the better of all: if you can make it, your enemy can just as easily. I would in that respect be more afraid of Home-genetic kits developing viruses; For now governments aren't as stupid (please don't dive into the middle-east here) to deploy that on civilians, but an angry neighbor just might.

Everything you're wanting to do can be done. It's generally much easier with enterprise grade equipment, such as ubiquiti or microtik which are on the cheap side.

As far as the computer and FreeNas, unless that computer can run ECC ram(server grade) you might be better off turning that box into a pfSense router/firewall. FreeNas is designed for enterprise grade storage. If your looking for simple, easy storage you could much easier take that old computer and turn it into a Debian or CentOS caching server much easier than using FreeNas. You'd probably want to look into a gig our fiber NIC card, you can get used server ones pretty cheap on eBay still.

If you want to stick with your D-Link, you probably need to look into building or buying some type of waterproof box since it will be exposed to the elements, and you need to look into ddwrt or tomato.

But generally running an open Wi-Fi box isn't that hard. Most routers rented or sold by Comcast or Cox or the other ISPs broadcast a separate Wi-Fi network for their customers that anyone can connect to.

I'm pretty sure, you're ok if you run an open Wi-Fi. Of course you might get your equipment confiscated until they clear you, especially if you're doing something like running a TOR node or endpoint.

i did a run last week and it was, ahem ...a blazing success! yielded 16x more biochar than my tlud beer keg and it took only an hour. it was super hot with giant, violent flames, like a rocket engine. pretty sure i deorbited the planet!

because of the heat, it was hard to add new layers neatly, but i managed to push in pre-arranged piles with a long handled hoe. used mostly dry sumac, pine and poplar.

def worth the effort!

All of these images are fancier than necessary.

If you have a wooden baseball bat and know what the thread is on your camera, you can drill a hole in the center of the end of the handle, then clue a nut in there with the same thread. Using a threaded rod, or hacksaw off the head of a bolt - you screw it into the nut in the camera and the end of the baseball bat. Holding the bat handle at the top by the camera and letting the bat hang down will provide weight and stability and a perceptible center of gravity to your shots, especially when taking corners.

If you can't do that then use anything similar. Duct tape your camera to a 2x4, a stick, a hammer, a stack of soup cans, or a 2 litre soda bottle (frozen or fully filled so you don't record sloshing sounds).

Anything with weight and a hanging length, distributed wider is even better.

Yes, you may get tired. Prepare for that, and for better shots.

Openwrt or ddwrt can allow you to create subinterfaces that you can set firewall rules against. but I don't think that router is supported by either, though you can pick up an inexpensive one that is.
