Because of all of this, the only country that might actually come out on top is India, which is just now catching up to the rest of us in the 21st century and nearing a population of one billion. They also have a strong emerging tech industry building up. I'm sure there's a reduction of birthrates across the planet, even (and especially) in Japan and South Korea, two places that have strong conservative leanings and care about family and traditionalism. Economy and work culture is a strong reason why Asia is suffering, but in the West, it's due to 1) selfishness and anti-family lifestyles being promoted to the youth, 2) the need to work until death, and 3) gender wars; the push to masculinize women and feminize men, which has been ongoing for the past twenty or so years, especially with the push of LGBT-etc. culture and feminism. And third-world countries just have the standard low income, high crime problems with their population.

So it's happening almost everywhere. If you interpret words in a particular way, you are right. I think what we currently have is a travesty of free speech. The word "free" has the established meaning of "without restrictions". In your interpretation presumably, I'd have to call it absolute free speech.

Such word games only show how indoctrinated most people are. If you advertise a product as "free", it can't be "not free", because it would be insane, but when it is about politics, suddenly we go all Double Speak over words.

The phrase "free speech" as use in common parlance, should be renamed to "limited free speech". That way, when someone says "we have free speech in this country", everyone knows that person is lying.

Not that it matters, because "free speech" is a retarded concept in itself. If you want freedom, you need to have the biggest stick on the planet. If you don't have that, you live in a prison of control of other people, no matter what you believe. Let's say someday a virus appears which exterminates every race on the planet, but one immune race. According to your "free speech", none of the people of the other races can campaign to wipe out the immune, but virus spreading race. So, they literally all have to just shut up and die in your fantasy world. This example shows that in time of crisis, your limited "free speech" won't even be enforced either, which makes it a hollow concept. If you were to announce tomorrow that people of race X were carrying a deadly pathogen that would kill everyone else within a month, do you think you would be able to stop the resulting genocide? Would you even want to if you were not of race X? Where are your principles now?

Where as hippies had next to no power, this is a massive step up for fads and crazes. We're talking about something so meaningless it actually impacts less than 1% of the population, but businesses are making ads about it and calling their paying customers rude names if they don't like the ad.

With that kind of power suddenly thrust into the hands of someone so stupid that they wake up and think: "I'll just call myself a boy today. Why not?", these kinds of things are inevitable. They are already the kind of people who get caught up in trends, it's just that these trends usually resulting in mostly negative outcomes. Now they are rewarded in large scale and news reporters call them heroes... If you're the kind of person easily addicted to social pressure, and that social pressure is constantly telling you that you're great... It's all downhill.

The problem with a "free speech" platform is that people value their anonymity, and that brings both good and bad with it. Unfortunately, making it pay-per-view would have to introduce doxxy payment methods.

Also, history shows that people are not willing to pay a small amount for such things, as sites for free e-mail/social media flourish, while paid ones remain tiny and obscure. Does anyone remember SomethingAwful?

I wonder if running a site with a crypto-currency protocol baked in would be possible. Basically pay the equivalent of a few pennies over a blockchain verification to make your post/comment go through. That could slow down bot-spam, and make it easier to regulate/block certain addresses if they even find it worthwhile to buy a chunk of crypto to do it. Even have those posts signed as a way to verify who someone is, as only they would hold the private key.

Earlier today Cloudflare gave me an error:

I turned off my ad blocker. The error continued. I changed browsers. The error followed me there. I tried connecting using my phone instead of a PC. The new error was there. I went to another website that also has the Cloudflare blockade turned on, and the error was there also. So it was not only Saidit. It was Cloudflare. Then the error mysteriously stopped at both websites.

Perhaps being a paid member of Cloudflare would help, but I don't like them being the middlemen. It reminds of having to pay "protection money" to the mafia.

Thanks for the explanation. I have to admit I think I've never met anyone who it seems would have called himself or herself a fakebian, bihet or feminine male. I also have trouble using the term 'them' to describe a him or her or a non-binary person, as that's just bad English usage IMO. I'm more familiar with people keeping that stuff to themselves, or at least not bothering me with their special words for themselves. I think that trans women look too much like men to be attrative to straight men, but I think a straight man who is somehow attracted to a trans woman isn't necessarily gay and attracted to other men, even if we could automatically think that. My view is that their sexual preferences are private matters for themselves, and that everyone has his or her kinks, even if initially unaware of them.

I would say they're at least bisexual tbh. I'm somebody that prefers feminity and I call myself bisexual due to preferring both feminine females and feminine males. Of course, masculinity can be attractive, but it's very rare for me to be attracted to masculine males and females. Ironically enough, I've only dated two masculine males and one masculine presenting female (but tbh I wonder if she's genuinely feminine).

Of course, if a man likes a transwoman, I don't have any issue with that. The issue is when they dance around the topic and end up playing mental gymnastics on how it's not homosexual sex (if the transsexual is pre-op).
