A college statement reads: 'We are in solidarity with the students in our horror of what is happening in Gaza.'

Does that mean sending in riot police to beat up and arrest the protesters isn't the only available option? What a strange thought.

I can't imagine things are looking good for her on the career front. It was probably already sort of shaky ground to be on - to be a twee lesbian in a post-Obama world, one that really doesn't ever want to hear another Moldy Peaches song on a ukelele for as long as we all live. Slim pickings for a manic pixie dream girl like her. That's why Zooey shaved her bangs and literally disappeared off the face of the planet.

Once Umbrella Academy wraps up she's basically going to be stuck either getting pigeonholed in trans man roles (a ticking clock of a genre if there ever was one, basically the first time anyone sees a movie trying to portray the strength and courage of a pooner it's going to result in widespread mockery) or worse, getting "male-coded" roles where she's obviously a woman and the producers are just throwing her a bone and checking a box on a form for a tax break.

Best thing would be to get out of showbiz altogether, but then she'll lose the predatory, parasitic "support system" that turned her into Burn Gorman Jr. in the first place, and what will she even be then, without another's eyes to perceive and define her?

But a huge quantity of detransitioners express a strong wish that someone had stopped them from doing this to themselves. Or that it had been tougher to get surgery. Or that someone had warned them adequately what things would be like...

Except that all of that did exist, until TRAs took steps to deliberately dismantle all of the stops along the way. Warnings and attempts to stop this were decried as "transphobia" and bigotry, with trannies blowing up family and friends who tried to intervene with sanity.

At the same time, doctor shopping to find the one who'd green-light the drugs and mutilations became so prevalent that TRAs were posting fucking cheatsheets on how to bypass the checks, until the checks were lessened or removed entirely.

I'm kind of sympathetic to detransitioners, in that they now have to live a life that's just fucked all out of recognition on top of what everyone else has to deal with it more generally. But by and large? They did it to themselves, and be damned to anyone who got in their way, so I have absolutely no regard for their crying for the most part.

That's true. As long as we have moderately powerful PCs, there is 0 reason to buy a console today. It wasn't this way during the NES or SNES generations, because most PC games were a joke until id software really jump-started the PC game scene. And even late in the SNES generation, when the 486 and sound cards and CD-ROM were a force to be reckoned with as far as PC game capabilities go, a lot of well-regarded 2D games were only available on consoles.

Now a console is just an ultra-locked down PC with less features and flexibility/functionality, and most games are released on the PC anyway.

A man named Alexander Lebed claimed he is "almost certain" that the bombings were organized by the Russian government. Soon after, Lebed died in a helicopter crash, caused by an explosive device, according to his associates.

That doesn't sound much different than the United States....

1993: Truck bomb exploded in a basement-level parking garage under the World Trade Center in NYC. Six people were killed and more than 1,000 were injured.

I'm like you, I dove so hard into what BPD was, talked about it all the time, wanted to understand it all. But it doesn't help. It helps to a degree, but then it just consumes you, slowing down your progress.

A good therapist(there aren't very many by the way) wouldn't even let you speak about the BPD or the other person in your situation. They would make you talk about you, getting you down the road to healing and indifference much much faster than dwelling on a person and her actions. And why do that anyway, you weren't a person to her, you were a shiny toy to play with, why give her the satisfaction of existence?

The state does retain the right to do that. They are then treated, evaluated at regular intervals and when they no longer pose a threat to themselves or others are released.

Why should this form of self harm be treated any differently to any other?

This sort of culture of trying to silence staff seems to be widespread at Boeing.

Keep in mind that the danger is that some of these could be fatal flaws in the design of aircraft.

You know that you live in hell when the US is a police state and you are not allowed to say it.

The US is a bankrupt warmongering police state, but Americans think everything is just fine.

Anyone who challenges the narrative will be called a nutjob or racist and will be banned, get an IRS audit, be arrested, or be killed.

Doesn't the collapse of the US bother you?

How can you sleep at night now?

Are you going to speak up while the USA collapses or are you just another mindless zombie?

Those who stay silent today are no better than the elites who have turned the US into a bankrupt police state, are pushing for a civil war, and are doing everything they can to start WWIII.

Cheap Catalyst Made Out of Sugar Has the Power To Destroy CO2 about study An active, stable cubic molybdenum carbide catalyst for the high-temperature reverse water-gas shift reaction

To transform molybdenum into molybdenum carbide, the scientists needed a source of carbon. Surprisingly, sugar... served as an inexpensive, convenient source of carbon atoms. When testing the catalyst, Farha, Khoshooei, and their collaborators were impressed by its success. Operating at ambient pressures and high temperatures (300-600 degrees Celsius), the catalyst converted CO2 into CO with 100% selectivity.

Essentially the West and Ukraine, having lost the conventional war, are resorting to terrorism, as the Crocus City Hall Attacks indicate.

The problem for them is that these attacks tend to harden Russian opinion.

I honestly have no idea what your point is, except that you really enjoy yelling at people over the internet. Hope things get better for you.

Action and reaction are, in many ways, the eternal law. Causality. Only White Empire would impose such massive violence on a population and then call them terrorists. This is the Resistance they designed in many ways. It evolved in response to imperial predation. Empire asks why the Resistance isn't secular, after killing or couping the socialists or communists. They ask why they're not non-violent, after shooting the unarmed March of Return in the knees. They ask why there isn't peace in the Middle East, while being the warring party. They ask why the Resistance is seemingly everywhere, without even the dimmest sense of everything.

It's all falling apart now due to their own greed.

The revolution is slowly happening.

There is so much redundancy in an aircraft and so many inspections from inside and outside the manufacturer/airline or transport company/facility/FAA. That said, from what I have seen first hand with some of the people who work on these larger aircraft, I try to not think of them when I fly. Also, I think that Boeing got really slack with these rules because they have gotten away with being less strict over time and nothing happening. SHTF and now there are consequences.

Granting all of that, we're talking about an adult,
who's only harming herself, not others.
People do all kinds of weird (body-modification) shit to their own bodies.
That's their right.
A state may indeed decide to intervene and protect children
from their (possibly immature/mentally-ill/brainwashed/stupid) selves
or their (possibly immature/mentally-ill/brainwashed/stupid) parents.
But a civilised (not oppressive) state may not infringe on the rights/freedoms
of an adult who's not harming others.

For most Germans, yes, unless communists,
but, obviously, that did not apply to Jewish Germans,
even those who had fought for Germany in WWI,
even those who had been awarded the Iron Cross
for gallantry under fire,
nor their children, who wanted to be German
and thought they were,
until they were told they were not
and were to be despised no matter what,
just for being who they were,
with nothing they could do about it.

I don't know, man... We wouldn't legally allow someone to strip off their skin from their left arm, amputate their hand, and graft on taste buds, claiming that the person now has a new "tongue". That would be sick and messed up. This reminds me of that. These poor people don't actually get a new penis or vaginal canal, they just get sliced up. Recovery is often painfully slow (if it happens at all) and complications can be grotesque and life-changing.
