That's pretty bad. Whoever built that either watched a YouTube video and took shortcuts or it was someone who helped someone build a deck once and then tried to do it on their own. My guess is that this was a house flipper who did this or paid the lowest bidder to build it. Anything 10x10 or larger usually needs to be permitted nd inspected. There is a house on the block of one of my rentals that was bought by a house flipper had the attic converted to a bedroom and the basement finished into a bonus room with kitchenette and then put back on the market. Also new HVAC system. Absolutely no permits or inspections. The only way they'll save their butts is if someone comes in from out-of-state and pays cash with no home inspection. The seller can still be sued years later if they have problems from poor workmanship and they do some digging at the city permit office.

I would give credit to the user who, in comment on another post, brought up the possible reason for the massive spam campaign, but I can't remember who is was at the moment.

TLDR: Darshan Hiranandani has allegedly bribed a legislator in India to publicly and politically attack both a competitor and a politician. He paid for luxury gifts, travel, and a home-remodeling project. Moitra not only did his bidding during legislation sessions, but also gave Hiranandani her government login credentials so his team (like the one spamming Saidit) could attack his corporate and political enemies posing as her.

It was a good break. It took about a day to get used to not having so much information being fed into my brain. I had to learn to let my own mind lead what I think about. I'll try to write up my experience. Bottom line is that I need to stop being lazy about how I get my information and more selective on how I get it and where I get it from. I was also using it as an excuse to avoid doing stuff at home. I was so much more productive this past week. Probably means I won't be on here as much during the day, but it should be more meaningful to me.

Like you said, the problem with the Abrams is that it needs massive logistical support. The Ukraine military is not set up for it. The U.S. has told Ukraine to keep the Abrams off the front lines, too. They didn't.

As far as adapting, there have been countermeasures, and then counter-counter-measures, and then counter-counter-countermeasures, and it will continue until wars end. We have recently seen both the Russian and Ukraine drone operators adapt to the ECM's designed to thwart them. The cages. wooden barriers, et al, are being surpassed with multiple drone strikes, with each drone having a specific purpose.

Like your other comment, the Bradley is an infantry support vehicle (although it has been used in armored combat to some effectiveness). It is superior to anything else on the battlefield in Ukraine and with Ukraine having the shortfall of troops compared to Russia, they need all the help they can get. They not only outgun and outmaneuver, but also keep the guys inside alive more often to fight another day.
