This is what happens when you transition. You reduce your dating pool to around a third or half the adult bisexual population who are single or open. Not a large dating pool. And even then, they still know your true biology underneath. It seems like a lot of trans people don’t understand the consequences of what they are seeking to do. This is why affirmation therapy is so dangerous, and why only people who want to transition need to go through a multitude of steps before getting approved.

I find it hilarious when I encounter biphobic FTMs online (never seen any FTM in real life). Because bisexuals are all they have. But this particular FTM wants a gay man to be her sexual partner and validate her expensive investment. Fat chance.

I very, very much doubt that anything close to half or even a third of bisexuals are particularly open to trans people. I suspect that the dating pool for trans people is people of the same sex with internalised homophobia, fetishists and the very, very rare person who is attracted to them as a person in spite of their gender incongruence.

Yeah, I just don't see why bisexuals would be any different here than homosexuals or heterosexuals: we're all attracted to biological sex, and that means both primary and secondary sex characteristics. As soon as someone messes with those-- the outward signs of either maleness or femaleness-- our brains don't know what to do with that; it's not anything that evolution has prepared us for. So basically our sexual response gets short-circuited.

All that "trans" people who physically alter themselves like this succeed in becoming is something that crawled out of the Uncanny Valley. They still look human, of course... yet somehow... wrong. And as this effect proves, being off by just a LITTLE is extremely disturbing; people have a deep, ingrained aversion to it. Do not fuck with the fundamentals of human psychology, genderspeshuls; you do so at your peril. We are, when all is said and done, an animal species which uses sexual reproduction. And if we weren't really, REALLY good at recognizing (and sexually responding to) our own sexes... we would have already gone extinct a LONG fuckin' time ago.

This is a good point. I sincerely doubt my ability to be sexually attracted to a transwoman, despite that fact that I am sexually attracted to males. I get the idea behind saying that bi people might be more attracted to trans people simply because they are attracted to both sexes, but you're absolutely right that when you give it more than a second's thought, that makes no sense.

Exactly. I'm a bi guy, I'm not attracted to transgenders because of 3 reasons:

1) I like the masculinity of men, and I like the femininity of women. Transgenders is just a weird awkward mashup of both and that honestly isn't attractive to me as well.

2) Neo-penis and neo-vagina, lol, no way I would touch those. They are honestly disgusting.

3) Them being delusional. A woman telling me to call her a man is an instant turn off, that means they are not mentally stable.

In fact, many of the physical traits that I find attractive appeal to me precisely because they're sex-linked-- such as Adam's apples, the iliac furrow, or thinness (men) vs voluptuousness (women). I like the bodily differences between men and women! Why the hell would I want 'em erased???

2) Also sad, scary, and enraging. Just what you wanna feel during sexytimes, right?

3) Yeah, plus, how is a woman disavowing and rejecting her own femaleness-- the very thing that you're basically attracted to-- not gonna be a deal-breaker? She's in denial about who she is? Actually, this is something about bisexuality that almost never seems to get acknowledged (much less discussed): the fact that we can be attracted to each sex in very different ways. Both as far as the "rules" governing each go (what our "type" is; the shape that our behavior takes in relation to them)... and even how we experience the attraction itself; the way that it feels to us. Probably because gay and straight people can't really relate to any of this; there simply is no parallel for them. But that's why I'd love to hear more about it! Homophobia against men is so strong that if a man is bisexual he's often encouraged to only date women, only talk about women, only be a top, etc. or he'll "lose his man card." They simply do NOT want to think of us as fully men.
