If impartiality and debate scares you then your position has no ground to stand on and shouldn't be the basis for public policy.

It’s so odd. If we acknowledge men can’t be women and women can’t be men and no adult human can be neither or both that’s like a symbol of the apocalypse to them. I always want to ask them how they get to that conclusion but I know I’d never get an actual answer.

Imagine being scared because more and more people are choosing to be neutral

These histrionics are exactly why people are going to eventually stop taking the TQ+ seriously. It's like how, in the US, the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program made more kids do drugs, having exactly the opposite effect as intended. D.A.R.E. portrayed marijuana as a "gateway drug" and basically tried to scare kids into thinking that having one hit of weed would kill them. Once kids eventually did try weed and found out, hey, it's fine, they would think to themselves, "Okay, so D.A.R.E. fucking lied to me; if weed isn't as bad as they said, maybe heroine isn't either."

It's the same fucking thing. "Oh, no, the BBC has decided to stop kissing our asses; we're terrified! People are going to start murdering us with no repercussions!!!"

Then that doesn't happen, and the sane people think, "Oh, so they're just blowing every little thing out of proportion." So if there are any serious issues that the TQ+ community is facing, everyone's going to start thinking, "Oh, fuck off you whiny crybabies."

I give it 10 years tops before people just start blatantly ignoring anything they say, and it'll be their own damn fault if they can't manage to get whatever rights they think they don't have.

D.A.R.E. also wrongly gave kids the impression that everybody but them was doing drugs, leading to drug FOMO. Stupid.

Where I lived we did W.H.O. ("We Help Ourselves") in which we were accidentally given long detailed lessons on how to date rape, how to bully without being caught, the names and street names of various exotic drugs, and the basic ingredients of crystal meth. Great job, Board of Education.

True - I barely remember doing the D.A.R.E. program; I'm pretty sure I went through it once in elementary school (seriously?) and then again in like seventh grade, but I do remember that it was extremely lame and kind of made drugs look cool by comparison. Granted, I never did any drugs until I was well out of school (except for smoking cigarettes and sneaking liquor every now and again in high school), but it certainly wasn't D.A.R.E. that stopped me.

Yeah, I remember being taught about PCP in elementary school by one of these programs. I specifically remember I got a quiz question wrong because I mixed it up with cocaine and thought that was Angel Dust. I had to have been in fourth grade. Fucking ridiculous.

My favorite was raiding my friend's dad's liquor cabinet and finding a bottle of gin in the back that we thought he wouldn't miss, and sneaking out to go meet up with some people, and the only thing they had to mix it with was flat diet cola. Whatever worked! My other drink of choice around that time was whiskey and grape juice lol

They're abusing the goodwill given to them(mostly acquired through Gay activism) by crying wolf too many times.

While this sounds just, I think they long foresaw this eventuality and been entangling themselves with the LGB for years so people will have a very difficult time shaking the association of gender identity/ideology from sexual orientation in their heads if the situation ever goes sour for them. And they can use this association to pressure the community for support if they really started needing it. Kinda a 'we're all in this together' type of social coercion. Actually, they already do it now even when they don't need to, so they are not really keeping their powder dry and it may cost them.

The best case scenario is the LGB side of the community loses patience with them and drops them long before the mainstream does.

"The best case scenario is the LGB side of the community loses patience with them and drops them long before the mainstream does" I think we're at the point where more of us have than haven't, yet the mainstream still continues to lump us all together, when the issue is always the TQ. I'm not in the UK but I doubt it's the LGB folks who are having a meltdown over this, yet always reported "LGBTQ". We're at the point where an individual is rarely recognized in the media as "a lesbian", "a gay man" it's "a LGBTQ person". "Normies" think LGBT(etc. etc) is just "one big happy family". Meanwhile how many of us same sex attracted folks even feel remotely welcome muchless represented in "the community" these days?

Indeed. The whole point here is a giant pile-on of narcissistic toddlers in adult bodies looking for the most victim-y street cred they can find to cloak themselves with while they bully people. That's it. "LGBTQWTF" is their current weapon of choice because it gets so much traction. When that stops working, they will try something else, either individually or otherwise, because it's about being a victim in the end.

In what sense? Because all they're doing now is being textbook for NPD. That inherently involves stunted emotional growth, i.e. acting like a toddler while your body continues to mature into adulthood without you. But that isn't trans-anything, it's pathology.

And by the way, the BBC hasn’t been impartial for years. Hopefully this is a sign that things are turning around. RTÉ meanwhile is still being mouthpiece for neoliberal and woke propaganda.

That’s exactly what is happening here. Liberals from America have subverted our country. American neoliberals and neoconservatives have been a bigger threat to our nation than China, Russia and Germany combined. But I blame our government and my people for allowing this to happen to us.

It's not like they don't buy government cooperation here too. It's their M.O.

Not that I know much about this, but from here they (U.S. corporate oligarchs) seem to be gentrifying Ireland and New Zealand as new homes for themselves in anticipation of losing power in the U.S. There are already tech executives bailing out to New Zealand. Just from the way people I dislike talk about Ireland, I get the impression there's a similar set up in place with y'all. They act like the whole Island is a gated community.

This is evil and I hate it, I wish it wasn't this way 😞 Y'all deserve better than to be used and manipulated by sociopaths.

I should have expected this. Because we have so many multinational corporations with their European headquarters in Dublin. The cost of housing is also going up, and that is no coincidence, because this benefits billionaires. Getting rid of these psychos will be incredibly difficult. There is a small amount of hope inside me that these psychopaths will hurt Irish people without even noticing to a point where Irish people will get fed up with their shit, and then we chase these subverters out of Ireland. Unfortunately, anti-American sentiment is on the rise in Ireland, and this could lead to ordinary Americans who happen to be living in Ireland getting blamed.

Ireland is a small country, but so is Bhutan, and Bhutan is notorious for doing things their own way and not letting large countries like America or China interfere in their internal affairs. I’m guessing that Irish people just want the world to like us, and thinks that if we listen to American neoliberal and neoconservative advice, we’d be liked by the whole world, except for big bad Russia, a country that has never done anything to us, even if I disagree with their policies.

The problem with that, is that this will backfire on us. A lot of people in Europe just see us as a puppet state of Washington. Recently, there was a football match in Budapest between Ireland and Hungary, in which Irish footballers kneeled in honour of Black Lives Matter. Seeing it as a form of American colonialism, the Hungarian spectators booed at the footballers. And that is just the beginning. I don’t want to come off as anti American, because most Americans are good people, but their federal government and their federal institutions are wicked and vile. Thankfully, Americans are beginning to notice what’s been happening to their country, and they are speaking out against their government and their institutions.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Yeah, I'm proud the italian footballers refused to knee to black lives matter as that is really colonialism to its finish. Personally I've always despised american general culture and system, not the people, people can be smart/dumb everywhe4re, even though I think national culture influences our character, but the national system based on wild capitalism, the way the seem to invade countries in name of democracy, the way capitalism in their country promotes ignorance and stupidity , unhealthy lifestyle (glorify obesitity as body acceptance) and selfish behaviour when your health right is based on your personal financial ability. I admire the general freedom, and positive mindset, the ability to make money unlike anywhere else in the world, the fact a world under China would be much less free so USA is a protector of western freedom and without them we would be under nazis, but overall the colonist mindset and culture just isn't great.

I feel the same way. I am worried about China, but with India and Vietnam getting stronger, wealthier and more powerful, there is a possibility that there will be a balance of power. I know that India and Vietnam are not the best countries to live in, but they are anti-Chinese and can stand up to China. Especially India.

But it won’t be America who will stand up to China. America is just too divided internally, with many young Americans wanting to balkanise their country like with what happened to Yugoslavia. This is the fault of the neoliberals and the neoconservatives, the people who have been responsible for America’s colonial escapades for the last 150 years. But America will never be able to stand up to China. Especially when a lot of American politicians and celebrities have been bribed by the Chinese government. We just have to have faith in India.

[–]Elvira95Viva la figa 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Vietnam too small to stand up to China. India? Possible, they're democratic, more similar values to the west. Shitty place to live, pretty poor, could only reach China prosperity if the west stopped working with China and invested in India. Also India got lots of internal problems to deal with, like the religious fights between muslims and hindus, and the fight against Pakistan, which is being supported by China, they also have still a weird caste mindset I guess

But America will never be able to stand up to China.

This is what China believes. Especially with Dementia Joe in the White House. That is why they are about to invade Taiwan. Meanwhile their property investment ponzi scheme is crashing down around them. Xi is afraid to leave the country for fear of being replaced.

Just remember, Biden told the Chinese how many nuclear weapons the USA has and General Milley told them "I have your back" to forewarn them of any American attack. Biden and Milley are both TRA as well.

If India does anything, nuclear Pakistan will go after India.

I'm an American and I want to be left alone. Meddling in other countries has brought us nothing but misery. Americans who think like me get called "isolationists" and told we're wrong. USA doesn't want to control the world. Certain people in power do. Their policies have harmed us all.

anti-American sentiment is on the rise in Ireland

I used to live in Ireland in the 80s (when divorce and pornography were illegal, and it was YOUNG people pushing to keep the anti-divorce laws and older married people who wanted divorce legalized!) so I feel personally pained by all the crap there now.

From what I'm reading, Ireland sounds positively rabid with the Trans Obsession. Ireland was always very left-wing. I remember Irish women were the most vocal people about Apartheid in South Africa and really quite obsessed with Black people's rights - at a time when few Irish people had ever even met a Black person -- so it seemed like a strange cause for young Irish people to obsess over. Maybe because the Irish have long been victimized by the English, there is this deep-rooted "I must stand up for all victims" mentality at work?

The Trans Lobby has sure weaponized the Irish sense of "we stand with the Oppressed" it seems.

Hope I'm not "Irish-shaming"! I left Ireland before the "Celtic Tiger" turnaround. The Ireland I knew was one where all my friends were becoming mental health nurses and emigrating to Australia. Maybe that's what made Ireland so vulnerable to TRA -- all the mental health nurses had left!

Woke Garbage, sadly, came from the USA, so if anti-American sentiment is rising, it's important people see Wokeism as an Americanism and put it in the bin (or the fires of hell) where it belongs.

I didn’t know it was young Irish people who were fighting to prevent divorce from becoming legalised. Why was that?

Yes, you’re right. Irish people do have this "we must stand with the oppressed" mentality. And TRAs have weaponised it. It’s also why there are a lot of charities based in Ireland that give "aid" to African countries, although that aid is counterproductive. Irish people are the original social justice warriors, but there is a growing number of Irish people who have abandoned this mentality. Especially now that we have let in hundreds of thousands of immigrants. Now, most of the immigrants are fine people, and most of them work, but most immigrants do not share our bleeding heart "stand with the oppressed" mentality, and that may have influenced some Irish people who learned that all you can do is look after yourself, your family me your community. While the immigrants who commit crimes and live off of social welfare at the expense of taxpayers are making Irish people realise that it’s not just the English or the Scottish who have oppressed us.

You Irish?

I wish America's top export had been the Bill of Rights and not Corporate Wokeism. Here in the USA, the Corporate Woke run all of the schools, all of the media, all of Big Tech, probably most of Big Pharma, and just about all of our government.

We have university students who protest that there should be more limits on Free Speech. Universities have tiny roped off sections they call "Free Speech Zones" -- the way we used to separate cigarette smoking.

But please don't think there is no connection between Communist China and the Woke Cult. The amount of bribery going on with Communist China and American universities, corporations, and politicians is rarely talked about (it can't be when they own the media!) but it is there big time. I'm starting to hear "liberals" speaking up in favor of the One China Policy -- Woke and CCP are tied together, even if those ties haven't been much exposed yet.

[–]RedEyedWarriorGay | Male | 🇮🇪 Irish 🇮🇪 | Antineoliberal | Cocks are Compulsory 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Liberals supporting the One China Policy? Well, I guess these people do not stand for anything except for what is trendy or for where the money comes from. And I have nothing but utter contempt for these smoothbrains. But authentic Liberals would side with Taiwan if they compared their policies to China’s. Taiwan is a capitalist country, but they have rules in place to limit the power of corporations and protect the working and middle classes. They have gay marriage, and conversion therapy for same sex attracted teenagers is banned. Racism in Taiwan is no worse than racism in western countries, except for being racist towards Chinese people, although you cannot really blame Taiwanese people in this case. Finally, look at how Taiwan handled Covid. Contract tracing, closed borders, and in the end, very few cases and very few deaths; all this without ever locking down their people.

China, on the other hand, is one of the most crony capitalist countries in the world. There is no gay marriage, no civil partnerships, and films and TV shows with gay characters are banned with few exceptions. Some healthcare agencies treat homosexuality as a mental illness and several homosexuals have been sent to be "cured". I heard in an article that their military is one of the few institutions where homosexuality is relatively tolerated, although I cannot verify this. Plus, a lot of Chinese people don’t like black people. I saw a video from Serpentza about how bad racism in China is, and the government encourages it. Let’s not forget that Covid started in China, and it got as bad as it did because the Chinese government pretended it wasn’t such a big deal.

Most of these American liberals would not care if you pointed this out, because they’re just following the money. But these people would be put in concentration camps if America was like China, because these people are subversive. The Green Party in Ireland are exactly like those American CCP-liberals, and they are a member of our corrupt government coalition.

it kind of reminds me on the final days of the Jonestown cult when they allowed the press and others in to video tape them to show off their "perfect" life, only to see that their own members were jumping ship and asking to leave. Jones, after seeing this then began going on rants about how the government would be coming after them to kill them and trying to convince his followers that the government would never let them live in peace and the only way out was through death. The TRA's are starting to see people jump ship and now they are struggling to keep people in line and are reduced to scaring their members into believing the government is going to round them up to kill them.
